This gym was good until they started charging my card twice for personal training. My card was charged twice by the gym in one week, and when I said something team member, Jordan, said that he had issued me a refund. A week later I still had not received my refund and ask to speak to the GM and he ensured me he would bypass my next charge and speak to corporate to get the issue resolved. Days go by and it's time for my next personal training bill to come out which should have been bypassed as a product of them double charging me but instead they still tried to charge me double yet again. Very disappointing because I liked the gym but when a company is being inconsiderate of my money i can no longer trust them to have access to my funds. Imagine having to pay bills but you come up short because your gym is charging you twice. Very frustrating experience so Just to those in the future who plan on spending their money with this gym. Also after cancelling my membership the "GM" told me that there is no actual corporate and that he only has his bosses personal number when I asked for the number to complain to corporate. I didn't even use this gym, I was trying to find my AirPods cause someone took them when I was at the mall. I literally drove 20 minutes just to find them here but the tracking was really weird and it was such a difficult situation. Nonetheless the staff did everything in their power to help me out. They're were so helpful in my hunt for my lost valuables and suggested different ways to assist me. They let me look around their gym while playing the sound to hopefully find it. (Though the gym was actually really nice. I already talked about the great staff but the equipment they use for their gym is incredible! The bathrooms were really clean and the products they sold were really amazing as well). Sadly I couldn't find them at all and headed home defeated. I'm not even from Florida, I live like 20 minutes away from Philadelphia so I'm on a time limit to find this. Nonetheless, I wanna thank each staff member that was there tonight. can't leave 1 star reviews that are TRUTHFUL on google, because they flag/report them all so no one can see it. this gym is OK, you can get a good workout here, but if I wasn't moving soon, I would've found a different gym a looooooooooong time ago. this gym has never had good air ventilation (5+yrs), all the machines have rust on them, so many machines are wobbly (treadmills rock, weight machines need something placed underneath it to prevent it from wobbling, machines are duct taped/ missing parts and so many are always OUT OF ORDER). Amped opens new locations without fixing one of their OG gyms because it's all about saving money and making money. The showers are disgusting and if you go in the mornings before 6AM you will always find 1-2 homeless people sleeping in the locker rooms then taking messy showers. The gym allows homeless people to sleep here if they pay a membership price... nice and all, but extremely uncomfortable for people trying to workout or put their personal belongings in the lockers. The gym always smells but you get used to it. I never recommend this location/gym to anyone. There are way better ones out there. read more

They daycare is unlicensed, unregulated, has no cameras. weekend are horrible. She didn't notice my 1 1/2 yr old was missing from the daycare and I found him running around the gym. She then lied to Shelby (the daycare manager) saying he saw me through crack of the door, opened it and ran to me? He had been running around the stretch room when I found him and brought him back. She said she didn't notice he was gone. She's not good with kids, and shouldn't be working with them. When I checked on my toddler, he was crying on the ground and she was sitting in her chair watching him. Don't bring your kids here on weekends. She also complained when I dropped him off bc she was about to put her baby down for a nap and didn't want members dropping off their kids. read more

I love this gym! Why? 1) Its mandatory to put your weights away when done. 2) Its mandatory to clean your equipment after use. Those two reasons alone equal for a much cleaner gym than most. 3) Basic membership is $10/ month or $20 for VIP, which includes tanning. Good deal. 4) Its open 24 hours for members. There has to be a leak or blockage of ventilation somewhere because every corner of this location smells so bad, despite the constant cleaning. Tried to cancel regretfully and politely four months ago because family issues. However, billing department and gym are completely two different departments that do not communicate. I have not been there in four months and billing department is harassing me daily, sometimes twice a day. I tried to cancel with them and they told me to call management. Every time I contacted management they always seam to be in lunch. I have worked in gyms in the past - Highly experienced in the culture, been in membership sales and admin, and have an avid body building lifestyle!! Its not that hard to cancel a gym membership. Amped policy sates to cancel in person. I cant get in to the gym in person and physically cancel the membership. It also states to fill out a release form, physically sign it, go all the way into the post office and send it. I do not have time to go to a UPS or post office - print out and sign a release form because I work long hours and will not get there before they close. Also, it will take an hour out of my day when my time is more important in consideration that an email is a perfectly sufficient channel of communication to terminate a mere gym membership with when all the computer needs is a delete button. Amped Fitness Largo will not accept an email of termination. If Clay "manager" had of reacted compassionately with my frustration and circumstances, deleted my account I would not be writing this review, and I possibly would have signed back up when the time was more convenient. However, Amped Fitness provides extremely bad customer service in dealing with customer complaints, poor internal communication with management and billing department, and overall, poor ineffective rigid cancellation policy designed to keep billing you and make them money. My daughter and I go to the AX3 classes twice a week. I bought the my zone heart tracker. This makes it a lot of fun when others are friendly competitive and we can have fun working on getting our heart rates up. Everyone in the classes have been friendly. Commercial / judgemental vibe. My girlfriend and I worked out here on a free trial and I could not finish one exercise without someone hitting on or cat calling my girlfriend. Multiple guys approached me commenting about my girlfriends appearance asking me if she is what I'm "hitting" or "taking home". I just recently checked out the new location in Largo having already been at their St. Petersburg location. As a former bodybuilder and personal trainer myself, there are certain things I look for when deciding on which gym to train at. From the minute I walked into this facility, I felt like part of a family and felt the support and encouragement. I loved the variety of equipment, machines and layout of the gym. Absolutely worst customer service. I had cancelled my membership with them,mostly because I have young children that I'm not willing to bring into the gym during a pandemic. I gave my 30 days notice knowing I would be charged for a month that I wouldn't use. But I figured it's fine, this is standard. I found an extra fee for $42 on my account. Apparently even after I cancelled because my "price guarantee fee" was due on the same month, they were going to squeeze the last amount of money out of me. This is disgusting practice especially during this time that most of us cancelled to protect our families. I did call and I got a scripted response which is quite impressive, this person could have been a recording. So to amp fitness: considering you are a local company and you survive based on how the community perceives your business practice...I can tell you that when this pandemic subsides...I will not be returning to you and I will make sure that anyone that asks me about your gym, will not get good reviews from me. Amped Fitness in Largo is the second gym for these owners (downtown St Pete was first)... These owners really have these gyms, healthy diet and fitness in their blood and really enjoy sharing their love for it and knowledge with all who need their assistance! This is my first gym experience, and I know I could never find a better fit, or more caring, accepting people to go thru this journey with! I had medical condition and gained 140+_ Extra lbs. in 2017. I was able to lose 190 lbs. in 2018, but, due to medical condition, gained a little weight back, and realizing after Physical Therapy, I still needed to move to keep the weight down, lose more, and get back to a better life. Travis (1 owner) met me with open arms, showed me which equipment was best for my goals, and helped me with the equipment and healthy eating, which does help me achieve my goals! I will be forever grateful! I have told everyone I know about Amped Fitness Largo, and hope I do them justice!! The gym is always clean, the staff always welcomes people in and stays busy answering questions, helping with training, etc. If you are looking for a gym with folks who really do care, Amped Fitness is the answer, and they are growing! Next one coming up in Pinellas Park (in June, I believe! They have babysitting, boot camp, and pretty much any gym equipment you could want! And they are so successful, they are growing by leaps and bounds! I will forever give them 5 stars, and am so happy to see them continuing to grow!!
