We stopped by here after lunch for a quick sweet treat and got a salted caramel scoop on a sugar cone for about $8 ish with tax. The salted caramel flavored scoop was spot on. The representative gave enough icecream that there was still icecream when I reached the bottom tip of the cone! I know it's ice cream and it's expected - but for some reason I did find their icecream overwhelmingly sweet. Again, this might be me and aging , and me personally starting to prefer things (including ice cream) to not be too sweet. I originally walked in thinking of getting the oh captain flavor but thank goodness I was able to try it out as a sample first and realized I didn't like it so feel free to ask for samples! One downside is that there isn't much variation in terms of flavors or selections, but they do have vegan options, which is a plus. I got the Ooey Gooey Butter Cake, which is apparently a classic, and it was delicious, with ample cookie nuggets nested inside. There's a decent amount of seating indoors (seats about 20 people total). Line moves fairly quickly. Staff is friendly and readily offers samples. We watched the sunset while enjoying our delicious icecream. I tried both the oatmeal lacy and the Morning in Paris. The oatmeal was very texturey, you'd think you're biting down into cinnamon brown sugar chunks but when you realize it's oatmeal it wasn't that pleasant to me. I ended up getting a cup of Morning in Paris which is croissant with raspberry jam inspired. The raspberry didn't taste like artificial raspberry jam which was my worry. Delicious ice cream!!! I got the Ooey Gooey Butter Cake and it was to die for. The ice cream base is a Cream Cheese Vanilla, although it tasted like a Sweet Cream or Plain Vanilla to me (no complaints at all!) The gobs of butter cake are generous in the ice cream, moist and buttery. This flavor was recommended to me by the staff, and I definitely understand why. Some other flavors I got to try include the Rice Krispie Treat flavor, which was also delicious. Be aware that the krispies will most likely be soggy since it's submerged in marshmallow ice cream, which wasn't a complete turnoff for me. Definitely would recommend the butter cake over this though! There are so many other creative flavors, a must try ice cream spot if visiting Brooklyn. read more

Other reviewers' complaints on the rude staff is true. I also experienced dismissive attitudes from the workers. This appears not to be an isolated incident, but a trend across the shop. The most disappointing part of my visit recently was the ice cream itself. I ordered one scoop of cookies and cream ice cream on a waffle cone and could not have regretted purchasing it soon enough. The ice cream served here lacks in quality and tastes as though flour was added to the mixture, making the ice cream have a "floury" and un-cooked batter like consistency rather than a creamy one. I did hear someone in the back washing something and figured they couldn't hear me. I waited and looked at the different flavors in the meantime. This ice cream flight is pretty solid! You get six little scoops that allow you to try everything, and I love trying everything so this is perfect for me. They do give you pretty good scoops. I do miss when they had more locations because their brownie sundaes are just too good-now I have to trek all the way to Brooklyn (please re-open the Chelsea shop!). You really can't go wrong with any flavor, but the Ooey Gooey and the Munchies are my favorites. Even their brownies and hot fudge are homemade, making for the perfect sundae. However, the only reason I dock 1 start is because the service I have been receiving has been...not the best. The staff always seem to have an attitude despite me always being extra nice and walking on eggshells in light of knowing this. You can pick 6 different flavors, I went with four ice creams and two sorbets. The sorbets, mango and passion fruit, were both delicious!! So refreshing and really just tasted amazing. For ice cream, my favorite was Ooey Gooey Cake Batter. My least was the Dark Chocolate, it was just kind of bland compared to the rest of the flavors.
