Unfortunately we didn't keep the receipt (who keeps a food receipt for days ), nor brought the expired food back (we threw it away during Labor Day weekend as soon as we found out), the crew said we could have taken the picture from the internet (we responded there was a bar code and easy to check; answer: doesn't mean anything) and stated there was nothing to be done (they eluded to Nordstrom for some reason). Bottomline they didn't seem to believe us (expired food is a serious health issue!!) nor care one bit about a potential situation and the associated risks. I was told by a friend that they offer discounted items for items that were closer to expiration, but I found that the items still had 2-3 years of shelf life! They have produce, frozen items, seasoning, dry goods, toiletries, kitchen tools and more. I loved that everything was at a discounted price, so you don't feel as bad for buying certain things. I did not go in with a shopping list since I was just exploring, but the next time I go, I plan on going with a list of items that I need missing in my pantries or just some everyday items. I liked that everything was brightly colored with signs and the pricing was neatly shown, so you know what price you're paying for all the different items. The employees were very helpful in pointing me to certain products in the aisles. You could truly get lost just looking at the many things that they have!

The corporate-takeover mentality that now drives policy is more beholden to Wall Street shareholders than to loyal customers. The advertised "savings" often seem artificial now. The "suggested retail prices" tend to look inflated, and final shelf prices are frequently comparable to regular grocery stores. Why should customers pay standard grocery prices for items that are nearly--or sometimes already past their pull dates? To make matters worse, the staff and environment at many locations are unimpressive and lack the welcoming energy that used to define the brand. When a company prioritizes quarterly stock growth over customer trust, the community notices. With inflation and affordabiliy issues challenging families it is rather predatory for businesses to pretend to offer value Between the underwhelming service and savings dishonesty, it's getting harder to justify shopping here.

There is a bakery and food court located inside, and they also have an art box where you can find all the cute Korean stationary and knickknacks. They have so much inventory, and much like the other locations they're placed everywhere which can either make your shopping convenient or difficult lol I will say that they have a pretty good premade food section and towards the end of the night when things go on sale, they mark things down at 50% as opposed to other locations where they do the buy one get one free. They keep all of their hot food in a dedicated warming cabinet, and you can commonly find some great cooked, ready to eat fish there. It's also located right in between a Ross and a Marshalls so that might be a bonus if you're prone to browse those stores like I am lol Also, I want to mention that their customer service is always on point when it comes to their cashiers. During my recent visit, I purchased cookies that were deceivingly named Ktown bake shop, and they looked delicious, but once I got them home, I tried one and it was so stale that I had to bring them back, and even though I had opened them when I explained to them that they were near in edible they happily granted my refund. Pro tip: nowadays everything's titled as if it's made in Korea, but, always check. The cookies that I bought were in fact, not made in Korea or a product of Korea, which I believe is why they were so subpar.

As much as I want to buy more items at H Mart, the quality is not good. Most all the kimchi and frozen prepared foods have MSG, corn syrup, caramel color, preservatives, food dye's and more. I go to Trader Joe's or Mother's Market, While Foods or Sprouts and the dumplings, gyoza etc have none of these toxic chemicals. I'm hoping H Mart makes changes and removes the unhealthy ingredients then I will buy more.

This is a small hidden upscale neighborhood Chevron in Irvine…read more You have to enter a shopping center to find it--there is no driveway off the main road. I like getting gas here when I am done at Deerfield Park across the street after my bike ride. There are also tons of restaurants and stores like CVS, BevMo, Auto Parts in here--tons of other places. Prices are same as elsewhere in Irvine. Not much of convenience store--don't come here for that--BUT a great 7-Eleven is across the parking lot.
