    Spam masubi

I love love love this market! Aside from it being walking distance from where I live and tan by the cutest Korean family, they also have the BEST snacks!!!! So many Asian snacks, pre-made deli foods, and freshly cut fruit! They also have coffee and hot foods made to order. You can even call the orders in so they'll be ready when you get there. I recommend their spam masubi. Recently they've stocked a decent variety CBD teas, which have been so refreshing. They also have tons of alcohol (Lol) including cut waters, wine, beer, seltzers, you name it. I always stop by on my way back from a run. They take Apple Pay which is so convenient since all I have is my phone. Make sure you stop by here on your way to the beach or park or any other outdoor event.

Frank is a very talented Sushi chef. Very reasonable prices and can make anything to order.

Incredible service! Highly recommend Frank and his wife Jennie, I love supporting small businesses and they are a prime reason why. Thank you for dedicating years of their life to this shop! We are so thankful

Frank and his family own and run the market. They are the perfect reminder of why we should support local small business. They are very pleasant and go out of their way to make you feel like part of the family. They have the essentials but they also make very good food fresh to order. Franks wife made a great cheesecake. They also do barbecue on Wednesday nights, and make a plate of chicken, pork or beef, salad and a side. Great spot to come for a quick bite at lunch, for a nice made to order quick dinner when you're trying to avoid fast food, and for all your everyday needs.

Epic Friday night wine tasting at the Villa Mart!

Where should I even start? This place is the most legit neighborhood go to! It's a small gem hidden between Avenue one and Watermarke and they literally have anything you can think of. My babe and I love coming here on Friday nights because they have awesome wine and beer tasting events for only $10 a person. By the time I leave the tasting I am already feeling pretty good! One of the owner's, Mark, is seriously one of the most amazing person you'll ever meet. He literally makes sure that you are well taken care of when you're at his events and the customer service is just simply impeccable. So if you want to pregame before going out this is the place to go. Also, I was craving for some poke the other day, but I was too lazy to go out to a restaurant so I went downstairs to this place and guess what I got? A SPICY TUNA DONBURI. Now you might think that it's weird to buy sushi in a neighborhood supermarket but it was so fresh and it tastes just like the spicy tuna don from the Japanese restaurant that was here before. Talk about quality food here. If I were the owner I'd bring out the chalk board and write down SPICY TUNA BOWLS/KOREAN KALBI BOWLS during lunch time and leave it right outside of the store during the week. That way, more people can know how epic these bowls are!!! But if sushi bowls can't convince you. Just go to hang out with Mark, because he's friggin awesome.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE at the front counter for the general store…read more Went in this evening around 7:30pm. Was purchasing several large cereal boxes and an electric razor. The cashier, Eddie, was extremely ARROGANT AND HARSH. He charged me for 2 bags, which was fine because I was using EBT for the purchase, so it would come off and it did, and then he charged for 2 more bags because the other 2 bags came off for the EBT. That means he manually charged me for a total of 4 bags. When I brought this to his attention, he said that since I was also purchasing an electric razor which is not a food item, he was completely justified in charging for the bag charges, even though I was purchasing 2 large boxes of cereal. I told him to cancel my whole order, as I was completely frustrated with him at this point, and he did not even inform me he was charging me for additional bags. To make matters worse, the assistant manager-Jeff was standing there and did not intervene in what was clearly a very bad customer service experience. I was so frustrated, I called the store back when I got home, and Jeff was very apathetic to me. I told him that I was extremely upset about what had just happened and also that he did not intervene, as Jeff has seen me there a few times and knows me as a regular customer there. Jeff did not want to take any proactive actions as part of the managerial staff there, and instead told me to call back in 2 days and speak with the store manager, David. This is actually the 2nd time I have had a horrible customer experience with Eddie. 2 months ago I purchased some food items and a battery for my smoke detector. Eddie charged me twice for the one single smoke detector I was purchasing. It was an ordeal to have him fix his error, as he insisted he had made no mistake at all. Then when he finally took off the extra charge, he was extremely ARROGANT AND HARSH, and made no apology for his mistakes and HORRIBLE ATTITUDE.

This place is right off the trail. Popped in here because my friend from France Pierre said the best cycling recovery drink is Perrier! And it's also my favorite drink! And guess what? They have it here! I got the Perrier Lime. (Wished they still had the lemon one.) But here you have to pay the price for that level of recovery all the way from France on a hot day on the trail in Irvine: $2.63 Worth every penny! I powered it back to my car 8 more miles. They have ample polls to lock up your bike outside and you better do so! There were some suspicious people hanging outside smoking who I later saw pushing shopping carts from Ralphs on the trail. One guy was pushing a bicycle--don't let that be yours. Irvine today is not the Irvine of 10 years ago! Lock up! Anyway on the receipt it says "7-Eleven". But it does not say 7-Eleven on the front. It just says Food Mart. But as long as they have Cold Perrier they can call themselves anything--I don't care. Employees here were friendly and wished me well. It's also a Shell gas station--a brand I do not use.

I made it clear after that I did not want to be touched, and that boundary should not need to be stated at all. I was simply trying to make my purchase and leave, not deal with behavior that crossed professional boundaries. Customer service should be respectful and focused on assisting shoppers, not creating discomfort. After reading other reviews mentioning rudeness, inappropriate behavior, and similar issues, it seems this may be a pattern. Management seriously needs to address staff conduct and training, because this type of behavior is unacceptable in any establishment.
