This is the best grocery store in the area. Plenty of parking, great customer service, and fresh fruits and vegetables. The lines can get long sometimes, but they're always quick to open another register. A few highlights: - they are well staffed and lines move quickly - workers are super friendly and helpful - vegetables are fresh and don't go bad quickly - the California rolls from the sushi bar are actually pretty good - the meat counter has lots of good options This store does not have a self checkout option, but honestly I don't miss it at all. We ordered the fried chicken party tray bundle and a croissant sandwich party tray for our 4th of July party. The folks in the deli section absolutely knocked it out of the park. Total grand slam. The chicken was delicious, our guests were thrilled. Online ordering was a breeze, the food was ready exactly on time, the service (people) were awesome. Mac n cheese was stellar, coleslaw great, and the sandwiches were delectable. Unbelievable stuff. And all this with all the craziness of the 4th! This is my first time at this location. Its larger than most other stores. Stater Bros. also did a great job with their store renovations. They have a Sushi section with a nice variety of items. There was someone making fruit bowls. I was impressed with all the departments like the meat, deli, produce, etc. The store is clean, well lit and inviting. Shout out to the bagger guy in the express lane at 4:30PM today who knew exactly how to bag groceries and put the bread on top and arranged the stuff in my cooler bag just right. It's not much but it sure makes me happy. You'd think it's common sense, but many people who bag groceries don't know that light items go on top. To Johnny, who has surveys he comes up with every time I visit, in the express lane, where he poses a different question and shoppers put a tally mark next to what answer they select. The staff is diverse, friendly, competent. I work closer to another Stater Bros on Red Hill but still go to this one because I don't like surprises, know what to expect and get what I want here. Ashlyn the "manager" was not helpful at all. I am visiting from Florida and I tried to purchase alcohol and my ID was not scanning and she refused to sell me alcohol while I am literally carrying a REAL ID from Florida.. I asked to speak to someone higher than her because it's ridiculous that your machine doesn't scan my ID and she refused to let me speak to someone higher while saying that she's the manager. FOOD SELECTION. I only needed a few items to buy on my way to a gathering outdoors. The frozen food section is located in the middle of the store. I bought several boxes of Stater Bros 5-Cheese Texas Toast in the frozen foods section. It was grilled with burgers and it was delicious! The meat department, fruit and vegetable sections were well-stocked with products. Many of the prices were reasonably competitive, especially if the product was on sale in the store. SERVICE. I needed lean ground sirloin for burgers and requested assistance from the meat department. The meat staff provided me with ground sirloin (93% lean/7% fat). The ground sirloin looked fresh and the flavor was delicious! Thank you very much to the friendly meat staff for carefully packaging up the ground sirloin for use on a grill at a gathering outdoors. Great customer service! AMBIANCE. This Stater Bros Market is located in a large shopping center with on-site parking. It is very clean and spacious, with good overhead lighting and visible displays identifying different sections in the store (e.g., the meat and produce sections). We have been shopping here for a while now and we love it! Stater Brothers is clean, reasonably priced, and keeps in stock a good variety of all the things we shop for when its grocery day heh. Their Butchers are fantastic and by chance this weekend when we stopped by they had a Surf and Turf event going - I got me a 1lb Lobster tail that they steamed and seasoned for me - took about 15 minutes to do right and it came out delicious - now grant the lobster was a little bit on the well done side BUT being seafood they have to cook it to a safe internal temp - and overall it was great just added a bit of melted butter for a knock out meal. I visit this store once a week. It's very spacious, super clean, and very easy to find what you want. It's better than any of the supermarkets in Irvine, which is where I live. Their meat department is the best! Great selection and great prices. And always someone there to cut meat as you would want it. I was a little stressed because it was last minute and J wanted to get the perfect little cake for her that she can remember. I asked a few girls in the bakery dept and they led me to Myra! I told her exactly what I was looking for and she perfected it! My niece loves unicorns and she made me the cutest mini unicorn cake with the cutest colors and her name on it. Growing up, I was never a fan of the Stater Bros in my hometown of Upland or the dozens I have encountered until I came to THIS Stater Bros. This location is always clean, well stocked with fresh produce and proteins, and full of friendly helpful staff members. I have been coming here for over a year when I moved back into the area, and my experiences here have always been positive and convenient. Prior to Covid-19, I have purchased treats from their bakery department for my coworkers on birthdays, holidays and just spontaneously. On New Years Eve, I was able to get my snacks here to ring in the New Year 2020: a variety of cut fruits, crackers, meat and cheese snack tray and ice cream. I bought a Haagen-Daaz Crispy Trio Layers Coffee and Vanilla ice cream for myself, and a Ben and Jerrys Chunky Monkey for my boothang at the time. Mhmmm... should have known 2020 was cursed... Anyways, pass forward to the beginning of Covid-19 chaos when the masses were panic to the extent of empty shelves, no meats, no produce... I am sure everyone knows what I am talking about. Well, props to the manager to who runs this store, because I still had a delightful experience shopping here in the midst of the chaos. I was actually able to get groceries for my family where they were experiencing a more scarce scenario. The one thing this location did better than any other grocery store I went to during the time period was the BUTCHERY! Yes, there were less meats on the shelves, but the sweet nice hardworking staff in the meats section were chopping away and prepping more meats constantly. Pass forward a few more weeks into the chaos. Most food items stabilized. The paper goods are still scarce, understandable. Lines are marked throughout the store, staff is constantly cleaning. A plastic layer is over the credit card machines so germs aren't in the cracks, as plastic is easier to wipe down or replace periodically. I can definitely see the efforts the store made to keep their patrons as safe as possible. Extra Extra EXTRA shout out to Michael and Eric who gave me above and beyond service. They were so great I said I had to shout out, and even made sure no one in the store had the same names as they do. I was in the store because my boss's boss wanted a Virtual Happy Hour and I had NO ALCOHOL in the house. I know, surprising, right? Well I was looking for those BJ Strawberry Wine Coolers and I walked in circles when Michael and Eric worked as a team to really help me search for these glass bottles. Well, guess what, the company REPACKAGED their brand INTO CANS!! Long story somewhat shorter, they helped me find what I needed.... and I also grabbed Kahlua White Russians while I was there. Cheers!!!! During these tough times, the smallest gestures are so nice. I felt bad and insisted I didn't need help but their team made sure I got what I came in for. It is these positive moments that will keep me coming back here for my groceries. Appreciate all of the essential workers out there who are keeping us all fed and safe!! I love this place, it has the best deals, it's clean, has a wide variety of food and some of the friendliest workers but one worker bothered me. It's the short lady with braces that turned me off. She made a big deal out of me getting my groceries and not only held up the line, but announced that I didn't have enough money in my bank account. I've always liked shopping at stater brothers so I was excited about this store being so close to my house. Unfortunately, I now only shop there if I have to because I sometimes dread it. I regularly shop at 2 or 3 SB locations. I don't know what it is but I notice that the vibe is similar in their stores. Many (not all) employees are rude; they blatantly bad mouth or make fun of customers as they leave the store. I see other reviews about cashiers who don't say a word as they're checking orders. This is very true. It happens almost every time I shop at the Tustin store, especially if it's in the afternoon. Last week, I encountered one such cashier. The only thing that was said to me was "put your card in again". When the transaction completed he tore off the receipt and handed it to me briefly staring at me but not saying a word. It's as if he was irritated that the card terminal glitch was my fault. I'm giving 3 stars because I do like the store. It's always clean; I find what I need; and the produce consistently looks good. read more

This morning a trip to the store turned out to be unkind to me and I feel very bad all day because the cashier with his look, his attitude and behavior killed me for the whole day, it seems he didn't say anything with words. We had a terrible experience with LIZ in the bakery. We came in asking for a simple two tier cake...she said no to everything we asked her to do. We had a picture printed out and know she can't use fondant for the design so we said we were fine with buttercream and we wanted daisies and sunflowers she said she can only do rosettes, asked for the cake to be blue for gender reveal she said no, I asked for another baker/cake decorator to take my order and she says " I have 20 years of experience and the other girl Jessica doesn't have any experience!" Well with 20 years of experience under her belt she seems to be very incapable of doing anything but rossetes. I asked for manger she said the manger is out for two week vacation...very convenient. So I spoke to another store manger and she agreed that Liz is being unreasonable and will get back to us. So we shall see. read more

This is the result of a cake l ordered from the Stater brothers bakery . When ordering the cake l wrote down that this cake was for my wife and l wanted it to look like the cake they had on display . The cake pictured below looks like it has an allergic reaction and is breaking out in hives. In hindsight l should not have paid for this cake and gone to another bakery . When l picked it up they didn't even have a lid for the cake box. The attendant at the bakery was indifferent when l asked her what she's thought of the cake. The cashier at the front desk showed exceptional customer service and offered to get a manager , l was crunched for time and couldn't remain. Summing up. Shame on The Stater brothers bakery .
