Olde Dutch Restaurant in Logan -- so many people hyped this place up that we had to check it out…read more It's buffet style with all-you-can-eat salad bar, soups, hot dishes, and pies. Drinks are extra, and there's also a small $1-2 supplemental fee added on, which felt a little odd since it could probably just be included in the buffet price. The food itself is very classic home-style comfort food with lots of options. Nothing super fancy or out of the ordinary, but everything tasted fresh and the buffet was constantly being refilled every few minutes. We also got the iced sweet teas, which seemed to be really popular since almost every table had one. One unique thing -- the entrance and exit are through the gift shop, and you also pay there at the end of your meal, which definitely adds to the old-school country restaurant experience. Our waitress was attentive and friendly throughout the meal, too. Overall, worth the stop for the experience and comforting homemade-style food while visiting Logan.

This place was hopping but somehow everything flowed smoothly. We tried a little bit of everything- chicken and noodles, salad, stewed tomatoes, asparagus, has brown casserole, pie, etc. my husband seemed to really enjoy their fried chicken. They also offer a menu you can order from a la carte. The buffet was so extensive that we ended up sticking with it. I only hold off on the fifth star because some of the food was over salted and/or overcooked (especially the veggies- asparagus, cauliflower, etc).

They have a menu of items you can try in order off of, but my sister and I got the buffet and we're sure glad that we did. They had some salad bar items and then hot bar items with different items that rotate daily. In addition, they had a gentleman carving beautifully cooked steak, lamb, and sausage at your request. Everyone that worked there was super nice and helpful. Multiple people stopped by to check on us and welcome us. All the food was delicious and we picked out a few desserts to take home from the bakery (not included in the buffet price). There's also a little Brazilian market attached to the restaurant that is worth checking out as well. The restaurant itself had a really nice vibe with exposed brick walls. One of the women working told us that happy hour is from 12 to 8 but I will have to come back and try one of their cocktails at some other point. I will definitely be back.

REVIEW: Avila.Eats on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube…read more 1. Cheese bread is slightly crispy but super gooey. Reslly nice flavor. Has a pleasant chew. 7 2. Chicken croquette is crispy. But inside isn't all that flavorful. Cream cheese filling adds a creaminess and the chicken itself doesn't do much. 4 3. Burger is juicy, tender, and seasoning is present but not the main show. The egg adds an umami and the bun is sweet. This burger relies heavily on the mayo which maybe I'm crazy but it taste way better than normal mayo. Ham doesn't really add anything and the bacon adds a crunch and flavor. 6 house mayo 4. Picanah is tender and so well flavored. Juicy and the fat melts away. 9 the fried yuca has a great typical yuca taste but isn't salted. I'd like to have some seasoning or flavor contrast. But dipping the yuca in the juices of the picanah solves all the problems. 8. Adding Brazilian chimichurri is ok. Not my favorite style of chimichurri. Mixing chimi and house made meyo combo with the yuca flour is 10 bite. Super good 5. Beans are soft and tender. Beans flavor but no seasoning. 4.5 after adding the yuca flour it helps a little bit but beans aren't for me. 6. Picanah sandwich is amazing. Adds the flavor of that picanah to the delicious house made mayo. This sandwich doesn't rely so heavily on the mayo. I reslly enjoyed this. I'd like it more if the bread wasn't so much. The chimichurri mixes really well with their house made mayo. Fatty with a tang. Tender and juicy. This might be a 10 if the bread wasn't so thick and bready 9.5

We got there around 5:30 and it wasn't very busy, which was nice. We were seated right away. One thing I noticed is the lighting--it's pretty soft in the dining area, with most of the brightness focused on the food stations. It actually gives the place a relaxed vibe. Now let's get to the important part...the food. Everything was hot, fresh, and honestly just really good. First plate in and I already knew I made the right choice. Some standouts for me were the egg drop soup, General Tso's chicken, black pepper shrimp, and the pepper steak. All solid, all flavorful. I made a couple trips (no shame in that at a buffet), and they do a great job keeping everything stocked and fresh. The place was also very clean, which always matters with buffets. Service was great too--our server kept our drinks full without us having to ask, which I always appreciate. Wrapped things up with an almond cookie, which was a simple but perfect way to end the meal. At the end of the day, you're getting good quality, tasty food for under $15...that's hard to beat. Definitely a great value, and I'll for sure be back again soon.

All very impressive. Not too busy on Friday at 11:30 am but it got busier. Service for drinks was very attentive but almost everyone i saw just got water. I asked about Japanese drinks and the waiter said we go to the front and grab those out of a fridge. On to the food. I started with the sushi of which there was a very large selection of both sashimi and sushi rolls, including several different toppings. I was bitterly disappointed that the taste of the sushi was not good. In fact, I could not even eat it except for the fried items which were good, although not really hot. I'm a little embarrassed to say that I did stuff a couple pieces of sushi in a napkin so that it didn't look so wasteful but really I could not eat it. Unfortunately this was my daughter's first time trying sushi so still not sure if she likes it. Onto the other hot dishes, the Asian food such as general Tso chicken, chicken with mushrooms, and beef with peppers was all very good. However, the fried rice just had some color and onion in it, no egg, no carrots, no peas. And the noodles were very basic but edible. The spring roll was very mushy again could not finish that. At this point, I was kind of over trying to find things that I liked and decided to end with some ice cream. There were just little cups of ice cream three different flavors and this was honestly the best part of my meal. My daughter tried three little cakes and she said they were excellent. I'm not sure about the salads and the fried American foods they had but overall I would just say the quality wasn't something I would go back for. There were people that had been there before, seemed like regulars and even had reward card to punch so maybe certain palletes enjoy it. I do think that the Asian protein dishes were the best part for me but not worth a return trip.
