Pros: Attached their grocery store Meals are cooked on authentic Tandoor oven - amazing to see naan cooked on it Amazing what they can cook in such a small kitchen Friendly owner and staff Cons: Limited menu dining room could be a bit bigger Pro tip: They do a brisk takeout business, so order early. Definitely get their delicious naan!

Tandoori Grill is off of Bethel road right in a strip mall opposite Five Guys. It's a Pakistani restaurant which serves Indian and Pakistani food. Trust me when I say best tandoori (kebabs) in town. The restaurant is small with about 5-6tables but it's run by a very kind gentlemen. Owner is nice and very welcoming, been coming here for years and it never disappoints. Don't go here with high service expectations but go here because you want to try something new that will expand your palate. My recommendations would be Chicken samosas (Appetizer) Tandoori Chicken Chicken Haleem Butter Chicken Do give them a try next time you around the area!!

The goat qurma/ korma. Get it. You won't regret it. It's a go to order for my husband and I and its never disappointed.

Best tandoori chicken roti wrap/roll!!! I have had my share of chicken rolls from around the world, and I'd say the roll I had at TG was top of that list. What a treat with soft tandoori roti with all the extra mint chatni, onions, and cilantro complementing the overall flavor of the tender boneless tandoori chicken. I topped it off with Badam (almond) drink which was served as a dessert at the end. My feedback to TG is to keep innovating how to use their famous boneless tandoori chicken with a wide variety of bread and non-bread options. It's a MUST TRY next time you're in the area.

Really disappointed. Their quality has gone down over the years, but never this bad. Ordered a family platter for Father's Day dinner. All the rice that came as sides with the order had gone bad. You could smell that the rice was spoiled right away when we opened the boxes at home. It was too late to go back or call them about it because they had closed. Will not be going back.

I have tried most of the Indian restaurants in Columbus. Tandoori Grill is among my least favorite. The food is simply not as good, and not worth it even though it's pretty inexpensive. It sometimes looks so old on the buffet. The buffet at lunch is the best value since you get as much as you want, but this is no value if the food looks like shit and tastes worse. I have passed by here many times since there's lots of good restaurants around. It's good there's other places to go. There's several average Indian restaurants near here. It took me awhile to choose this with all the other places, and the first time wasn't that bad. The lunch buffet was the best thing to get here since it's the cheapest and you can get as much as you want. It used to be much better, but now the buffet sucks because there's not much to choose from, and they take forever to refill it. The last time there were only 7 items, and more than half had meat in them. It's about $8 for the buffet. This is cheap for a buffet but it's not that much of anything. I ordered the samosas so I wouldn't have to leave still hungry. The samosas tasted like they were frozen and warmed up. There was spice but otherwise a serious lack of taste in the buffet food. In addition, the service is very poor. The last time there was no one to seat us, and the waitstaff took forever to clear plates and refill water. I would pass by this place and choose another Indian restaurant because there's so many of them. It's still not the worst but it's really bad. The service also sucks so it makes it an easy choice not to come back here.

I decided to order delivery through good ole Door Dash - expecting a sad, slightly cold, non crispy shadow what you'd get in person but let me tell yas.... this was not the case at all! Spicy Crispy Chicken Sandwich was phenomenal! It was wicked crispy, the size of my head (quick makes this a HUGE value... not that my head is that big, but order it to get an idea), bun was not soggy at all, and it did not disappoint. Chicken was perfectly cooked, juicy, not chewy at all, and seasoned well. Coleslaw added a nice vinegar contrast (I wish there was much more coleslaw but it didn't stop me!), sauce was smokey and slightly spicy, and the bun was soft. Chicken Tikka Paratha Roll was also a hit! Great seasoning, chicken was incredibly well cooked - melt in your mouth style - with small bits of char - vegetables were fresh, and the roll itself had great chew and flavor w/out being greasy (at all) or saturated. Fries were bangers too. Ready to eat my way through the menu. If it's this good when ordered, can't image what'd it be in house.

The falooda was the worst - it was just ice cream, milk, and a sparse amount of basil seed. The price point, including the sneaky service charge, does not justify a return trip.

The main Tandoori Grill location is up on Bethel Rd. This Pakistani restaurant is one of my favorites in town. So I was excited to hear that they were opening a pop-up location downtown on Capitol Square. And more than a little confused. Their announcement made it sound like they were opening in a convenice store. That couldn't be right. Could it? Yep. It is. When you walk in, they have a couple of chafing trays set up with the day's offerings. According to the friendly folks working at the store, some of the menu will vary from day to day while other dishes will be offered regularly. When I was there they had chicken tikka masala, chickpeas, grilled chicken, and ground chicken that was formed into long patties and then grilled. They're served with/over rice. Also on the menu were chicken samosa and salad. The chicken tikka masala and samosas were both delicious. I didn't give the final fifth star however because they weren't as good as when you get them from the full restaurant on Bethel. Which makes sense in light of the fact that they were cooked earlier in the day and being kept warm. So in summary, a great downtown lunch time addition. And if you do like it, visit the full service location. It's even better.

I went as soon as I could, and honestly, so should you! If you love Tandoori Grill on Bethel or haven't been there because it's too far away, this is the perfect opportunity to try its food during the lunch hour. Ideally, this would be a 3.5 star review, but I'm rounding it up because of the convenience factor. During my visit, I tried the samosa, chickpea curry, rice, and chicken seekh kebab. The seekh kebab was the star; perfectly spiced and amazingly tender. I've had so many disappointingly dry seekh kebabs, but this was was pure perfection. Next time, I'm just getting this with rice. The chickpeas and rice were good too. Loved the samosa, though it could be a tad less oily. But, heck, I chose to have fried food. My meal also came with a side salad with an Italian vinaigrette (odd choice). The salad is typically also served in the brick and mortar location and serves as a nice palate cleanser there. But since the operation in the convenience store is takeout only, getting a dressed salad, which is limp by the time I eat it, doesn't quite make sense to me. My meal cost $12, and I would've gladly paid a little less to forego the salad. Overall, a nice addition to the downtown lunch scene, which sadly lacks good Indian food. (Don't get me started on Indian Oven. Just no.) DISCLAIMER: copied over from my initial review for G&Z stores; this business was not yet added.
