No one came to tell us what that meant so I ran across the tracks to find a worker and ask just for him to tell me I already missed the connection. I was then stranded for 5 hours because my phone was dead. They offered a voucher for Uber but no phone so no voucher. I finally ended up getting home from riverside at 7pm I contacted metro link just for them to tell me theres nothing they can do to compensate me for this terrible experience. Not only was it a way to drastically cut our expenses (domestic flights from within Mexico are obviously way cheaper than international flights from LA), but it was such a calm, streamlined, easy operation. We got to the parking lot early for our 7am flight out of Tijuana, walked to the check in terminal & that's where we encountered our one and only 'hiccup.' Because we had 3 children with us, the Viva desk check-in said we needed to speak to a representative but we were told the only one on duty at that time was in the restroom. Luckily the stand alone kiosk on the other side of the area worked out fine. All of this was more of a Viva issue than a CBX one. We breezed through the bridge over the boarder & customs took no time at all. It was one of the quickest customs experiences I've ever had. We got dumped out right at the bag check area & were on for our trip. Coming home was just as easy. We got our bags and followed the well marked signs to CBX to walk over the boarder & do customs. Customs took a tad bit longer than going to Mexico, but that's more of a US thing than CBX. We still got through in was less time than expected, even when arriving on a Friday afternoon before a holiday weekend when I would normally expect huge crowds of people trying to get in to the country. In all, we saved hundreds of dollars even after paying for CBX & parking on location. We will always be using them from here on out for any family trips to Mexico.

The driver was very aware of the traffic flow around the airport and helping us with luggage as well. On our arrival back home our flight hit major delays and we were in communication that our driver was aware of the delays and watching our flight. To rest assured he'd be there to get us when we landed and sure enough all went well and we got home safely without having to think about driving after a long day of travel. FREE tire pump and water tank refils in lot 30, I love it!!…read more It is very easy to become aggravated when things don't go your way, but my experience with TAPS has been decent and fair. I have gotten multiple tickets from TAPS for parking in a section too long. While some TAPS officers are dicks and still ticket people who go are only 5 minutes over the time limit, hey, they are just doing their job. UCR is actually pretty considerate in terms of parking for guests. For example, the paid parking spaces by Glen Mor or lot 4 allow you to add to the parking time limit through an app. Therefore, there should be no excuse when you get cited for going over the limit. TAPS has even repealed 1 or 2 of my citations because I sent them a polite email regarding my situation. The actual office staff has always been helpful to me. While some staff seem like they completely dread being there and show it in their conversation at the kiosk, they get the job done. If you are not dumb and actually follow the rules that the school set up, you will not have any issues with TAPS. You are not doing an act of "justice" to you or anyone else if you deliberately choose to not follow these rules because you don't agree with them. If you compared our situation to the parking situation and "TAPS" at other UCs, you will be way more appreciative of what our school offers.
