I hate to give this low of a star rating because this location is usually really good but our experience last night was just absolutely horrendous. Part 1: THE FOOD So when we go to Applebee's we almost always get the same exact thing because it tends to be pretty consistent. Chicken wonton tacos, bbq boneless wings, mango iced tea, and sometimes a soda. Last night my girlfriend decided to try the prickly pear iced tea and she didn't like it so we sent it back and there was no issue and I'm very thankful we didn't get charged and I really appreciate that. The bbq boneless wings on the other hand are a different story, they came out and they definitely weren't the bbq flavor. We've ordered this menu items a million times, even earlier this week, so we knew it was different. We gave it the benefit of the doubt though and all tried it to make sure it was wrong and it was. We couldn't get our waitress's attention so I walked up to her and explained the situation and she told me they were the bbq wings and that we couldn't order a different flavor. I asked her to come to our table and she said the same thing that they definitely weren't the bbq wings (wrong). My girlfriend made a case for why they weren't the barbecue wings, color, flavor, sauce consistency, and she took the wings and said she would be back. Less than a minute later she comes back with the same exact plate of wings now with the bbq sauce on it. We gave it a try but the taste of the other sauce was still really strong on the wings so we sent it back and ordered a second order of the wonton tacos which seemed to really frustrate the waitress. I decided to try the quesadilla burger which was fine but I got very little fries on the side, much less than normal. And my friend who just ordered the waffle fries got a really small portion compared to normal on his plate too. Part 2: THE SERVICE We initially were helped by a waitress that was really nice and attentive and was checking in to make sure things were good but then she told us that she was just helping out another server and she was going to be helping us which is cool, love teamwork! But then we had a server that we've never had before which is fine but she was making us really comfortable and was being very short with us and made it seem like she didn't want to be there. She made every question or concern an inconvenience, she walked by asking if everything was good but then turned around and left before we could answer, she brought out wrong food and argued with us, didn't bring any refills the entire time, left empty plates on the table the entire time we were there and just overall was really rude and acted like she couldn't be bothered to do anything. It took so long to get anyone's attention, especially our waitress, that when we were trying to get a refill of tea she said they had already dumped it for the night so we just got water. We were dining there for two hours and for about 90 minutes of that had no drinks. My receipt says our server was Viviana but I can't back that up with her name tag because she was never there long enough to read it. I don't know what was going on last night at the Riverside Applebee's but myself, my girlfriend, and our friend all agreed that we have NEVER had a dining experience like that literally anywhere. It felt like an episode of the twilight zone. It was just wrong overall. Usually this location is a 4 or 5 star experience but I would give a 0 for last night if it was an option. So dissatisfied, disappointed, and embarrassed that I had to give them my money yesterday. If Viviana is working, save yourself the headache and go down the street to McDonald's, you'll get far better service. read more

Been here a few times for Happy Hour and Lui and Dominic both have provided amazing and attentive service with great attitudes! Applebee's really has the best deals, especially on drinks. They have different price points for your drinks and appetizers. I'm not sure if this is at all locations, but I really like that happy hour can be enjoyed in any area, not just the bar. I enjoyed the sampler and got pretzels, boneless wings and waffle fries. The beer cheese is extremely salty for the pretzels so that's a bit disappointing. Overall, I will absolutely continue coming to this location and really enjoy a reasonable happy hour in these trying and difficult times. It makes life feel a bit lighter to know you can still go out, have some good munchies, a few drinks and not pay exorbitant prices. I look forward to going back soon! read more

I was pleasantly surprised with how great everything was. I did accidentally miss the parking lot so I kind of went in a circle. lol It's immediately to the right, after the freeway. They have a good size parking lot so that's always nice. Right off the freeway so that's great. It's a decent size restaurant, they even have a sit down bar so that's cool. The restrooms were clean. And they're two for $25 deal Their Caesar salad was really good. We ordered the blackened shrimp, and the Bourbon Street chicken and shrimp. The mashed potatoes were so good I could order a side to go, but I was so full. I wasn't even able to eat dessert. The food tasted really good. I'm definitely coming back And their margaritas are really good as well. We got there at a good time, right after we arrived It got pretty busy. I took a trip down to Riverside, and my friend chose Applebee's as the restaurant for lunch. Service was standard, and the restroom was a little dirty. I got the quesadilla burger ($15.99), which unfortunately tasted very unappetizing. The quesadilla cheese didn't complement the burger patty. I think the quesadilla burger got soggy due to the Mexi-ranch sauce, which I didn't enjoy. Because of the sogginess, I had to finish it with a fork and knife. For the price charged, this wasn't worth it. There's definitely local restaurants that cook burgers much better while charging similar prices. For myself, this is another experience of eating low-quality food from a chain restaurant that charges market prices. read more

It's one of my favorite places to eat. Last night Dec 3rd 2025 I had drove past this Applebees and made it a plan to visit there after a concert. We went around 1130pm. Yes I knew it was about to close but before entering I saw the inside was full of people. So we went in I was seated on a high rise table. Next to some really drunk person. He kept getting up and walking towards the front door and touching the seats as we he would go back and forth to his table with his buddies. First of all I've seen many situations with drunk people and women so as I was with my girlfriend I requested for us to be moved, since I was asking I requested a booth. Many were open, maybe not in his serving area but there were. He said "sorry there aren't any available but it's up to you" like ok? I said yeah man please. He said "ok I'll move you over to where Kaley or Kalah is serving. As I dropped my stuff onto the new table, Kaley looked at me with disgust as I was just about to make her night a little harder. So I just said forget it and told the male serve as he came back "never mind I'm going to end up leaving" While I know it was my decision to leave. The servers didn't really try and that's what pissed me off. I shouldn't have to sit there and explain that there is a drunk dude sitting next to me and I feel fucking uncomfortable. Well, we're back! Success!! We have a positive report today! The selection that we've been ordering was served as ordered! Apparently, Applebee's does respond to criticism, positively! The food was served hot (165F) and was very tasteful, as it should be! Let me say, the people that we've spoken to could not have been nicer! Today, Geronimo was our server today but there's been others like Mary Rose and Onya. All of the people have been great, save one! They have not been seen in at least three weeks! And, no we haven't been approached by a manager, in re: to this problem, today or any other time, which could mean a couple of things!! We issued a "Poor Quality" food rating for the last two weeks which included cold serving and just plain terrible quality, in my opinion! We even brought our food thermometer! We've done at least two "Yelp" reviews, this being the third, reviewing the problems recently with just one of the menu selections at this location! The Bourbon Street Mushroom, Swiss Burger, substituting chicken for the red meat! I'm going to see if I can find another selection that interests me! I've had other selections that were filling, had quality and were priced fairly, like the salmon, the Scrimp Bowl and the Southwest Chicken Bowl. I've been to this location a handful of times and I'm finally doing this review. Always greeted immediately, even if the place is packed. The host/hostess are friendly and consistent, Maria must have trained them. Ashley our server was attentive and kind. I appreciated that we had everything we needed for our meals before it even arrived. I've been in this industry for a longtime. I can tell you that James is one of the most pleasant and hardworking Managers that I've ever seen. Had a family dinner here this past Sunday 2/23 and as someone who usually doesn't frequent Applebees, I must say that this was a great experience. We were a party of 19 that didn't have a reservation but were lucky that someone canceled their reservation shortly before our arrival, so we didn't have to wait too long. I know having large parties can be overwhelming & chaotic, even as the guest & the main reason I'm writing this review is for our waitress Cassie. Cassie was kind & very efficient in getting all our orders in and met every request, by far the best service we've had ever for a family dinner. I usually dread the whole process but she made it not only bearable but good. Also to the rest of the staff, the food was delicious and came out in a timely manner. The place was also clean. I ordered online for the first time. When I came to get my food I noticed it was a little light however I didn't check the bag. When I returned back to work I realized my fries were missing. I then called and spoke to the man Cale that helped me and handed me my food. I let him know my fries were missing he then admitted that was his mistake however he immediately got me the manager on the phone to find out how to fix this. The manager was so kind as well as she thought I was a regular, she told me they would make my order again for me! Yesterday my husband & I went out for dinner with the family everything was going smoothly up until my husband ordered a rack of ribs that he couldn't eat. They were burnt from the top to the point they even tasted like burnt, but thankfully my husband kindly asked our waiter Miguel if there was a way we could get a whole new rack of ribs & he was so understanding. We hate to even ask, but at this point we really needed to. About 15 minutes later the manager came out & brought us a whole new rack & apologized. They made us feel comfortable with asking & were really sweet about it. I've been to different restaurants where they get so upset if you even try to ask for replacements even for something as small as not liking a drink. We came here last Friday night with 2 adults and 4 kids, even for a Friday night I felt like the staff did a great job trying to get everyone seated quickly. I will say I was disappointed that they have kids menus but no crayons for the kids to use on the kids menu. This seems to be a thing these days at restaurants, not just here. My sister in law and I got the 4 cheese Mac and cheese with honey chicken tenders, which was amazing and the wonton tacos. Both were absolutely amazing.
