If you're like me and…read moretaking a comfortable train ride is something that's been on your bucket list, give the Amtrak Train Station a try and believe me when i say, you're in good company with Amtrak. Traveling from Maine to Boston, the train ride is comfortable and offers beautiful views outside your window. Each cabin has a set of seats that face each other and is ideal for families so keep that in mind. The customer service, train attendants are friendly and especially at the Maine station, there was one member in particular that was extremely friendly, polite, and courteous. (I can't remember his name off the top of my head, was it Paul? check out my tips if you're curious, i think i wrote it there.) Prices are reasonable and I'd suggest to either bring earplugs or headphones in case you have other guests who are chatty and you want to enjoy some peace while on your train ride. There is a first class available for those who want to upgrade their experience. There are bathrooms inside the train and a snack bar where you can grab food, coffee, and other drinks. Parking your car at the train station is safe and affordable. Note there are two lots adjacent to one another that i noticed, so if one side is full don't panic. Just turn around and cross the street. So don't be confused if you see duplicates. My experiences with him was as follow.... This was my first time taking a Cab by myself and at 1 AM in the morning. I was nervous and I needed a taxi service that was safe and reliable. Luckily, I went to Yelp and saw two positive reviews for Rockingham Taxi. So now its my turn go back to Yelp to share my experience so it will help others as the last two reviewers did for me. My experience with Rockingham Taxi was completely positive, from the first phone call to being dropped off at the front of my house. I had to change my pickup times several times due to the schedules of C & J bus, and every time the person on the phone was always polite and accommodating. I was nervous that the taxi would be late, since I had a long long fly and couldn't wait to get home. The moment I step off the bus, Rockingham Taxi was already waiting for me in front of the C & J building. The cab driver politely greeted me and helped me with my two very heavy luggages (50 lb and 51 lb). His name is John P. Hopefully I got the first name right. Basically the whole experience with Rockingham Taxi was very smooth. They even take credit card (with the iphone), which is a good thing because I didnt have any cash left. I will definitely use their service again and recommend them to everyone who needs tax service. This would be especially helpful for shipyard employee who are typically placed on weird travel hours and dont want their family members to have to loose sleep from picking them up. He got us to the airport in plenty of time. On our pickup our driver was not waiting with a sign with our name on it. He was inside of his vehicle. We did find him okay but we had a very bad experience on our recent trip and were tired and did not want to look for the driver who was supposed to pick us up. He was okay a bit strange so I have requested he not be our pickup or return driver on our next upcoming trip. Overall we would recommend and will use their services again.
