From start to finish they were professional and most importantly the food was scrumpdillyicious. All the dishes had balance and layers of flavor. They kept a clean kitchen throughout and cleaned and did the dishes at the end. Highly recommended!!!

Chef Janice is amazing! She prepared two dinners for us at our Poipu house rental for 8 adults and…read moretwo toddlers. She uses fresh local ingredients with a style that is bold in her use of spices and herbs, many of which come from her garden. Our first night we selected off of her Hawaiian Pacific menu, starting with her Ahi Bruschetta with an avocado mouse and her Purple Sweet Potato galettes, then a Farm Fresh Salad to lead into the entrees of Steak and MahiMahi with grilled veggies and an amazing Cauliflower done two ways. Matcha Brownies with Haupia ice cream and a black salt sprinkle brought it all home! The following dinner stepped the flavors even more over the top as we enjoyed her Mediterranean menu. We started with an incredible Mezzo platter including delicious hummus and the freshest, most flavorful feta I have ever had. The menu progressed to include a beautiful salt crusted Red Snapper (see Pix) and concluded with an awesome Strawberry Rose Coconut Cheesecake. Our family has a wide range of tastes and includes some serious foodies (two live in San Francisco and dine out multiple times a week) and all were blown away. Her portions are also very generous, so we enjoyed a full leftover meal the following days. I heartily recommend Farm Cook Kauai for an incredible personal chef dining experience!

If you're visiting Kauai and looking for a local lunch spot, Pono Market is a must…read more We stopped in for lunch and ordered a little bit of everything: pork lau lau (which was a hit with my toddler, no less!), a couple of different poke options, and a plate with karaage and poke. I can't remember exactly which poke varieties we got, but I believe one was their shoyu poke and the other was a spicy ahi. Regardless, everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. This is exactly the kind of mom-and-pop spot I love finding while traveling. No frills, just friendly people serving great food at reasonable prices. The poke was fresh, the karaage was flavorful, and the lau lau was tender and comforting. The staff was welcoming, the portions were generous, and the prices were fair, especially considering the quality of the food. There are plenty of places to eat on Kauai, but spots like this are what make a trip memorable. We'll definitely be back the next time we're on the island.

And take it, somewhere else, to eat. No tables or seats, in this market. We ate ours, in the car, before heading to the airport. It was delicious, really fresh. Opens at 6am, so has that "We just caught this" feel. And not as "Pricey" as some Yelp Reviewers claimed it to be.

The first night, my husband ordered the prime rib special with mac salad and rice, which was basically his dream come true, and I got the loco moco, which I shared with my toddler. Everything was flavorful, comforting, and exactly what we were craving. We enjoyed it so much that we came back on our final night and ordered the galbi and lechon kawali. Once again, every dish was a hit. The proteins were flavorful and filling, and the mac salad deserves its own shoutout. It may be my favorite mac salad on the island. This is absolutely the kind of place we'll return to on our next visit. It's also conveniently located near the airport, making it a great first stop when you arrive or a last meal before heading home. A couple things to know before you go: parking was easy when we visited, but there isn't any seating. This is very much a pick-up-and-go spot. I'd recommend calling ahead and placing your order so you're not waiting around. Great food, generous portions, and the kind of local spot you hope to find when traveling. We'll definitely be back.

Service: Service was standard. I wouldnt say anything out of the ordinary. Food took a while as it was fairly busy. Tip: I would suggest calling in your order so that its ready by the time you arrive to save on time. Ambiance: This is not a dine-in establishment so not much to say about ambiance in general. We will def be back should we decide to visit Kaua'i again in the future.
