Konohiki Seafood was a NONNEGOTIABLE stop before leaving Kauai and wow... it absolutely lived up to the hype. There's a reason this place has sooo many awards hanging all over the walls We got poke bowls, ginger fried chicken, a bunch of different inari, and every single thing was BOMB. Super fresh, flavorful, and one of those spots where you immediately start planning what you'd order next time. Honestly loved everything about this place...the food, the vibe, all of it. If you're visiting the island, you HAVE to make a stop here.

This is a small grab and go spot for seafood and other hot foods. There's a lot of parking also. The service was fast and the food is great. The poke and other seafood was the best thing there. The fried chicken was good also. There's no place to sit so you can grab your food and eat at your car or goto the park or beach.

A MUST when you get out of Lihue airport and actually anytime on the island . The hamachi poke is the best buttery flavorful poke I have ever had . Poke plates are generously served . The other amazing item on the menu is their ginger chicken have never had anything like it just crispy crunchy and gingery in every bite . The staff is so kind and generous definitely giving us the must try on their menu and the masalada secret to call morning as they go out quick .

One of the best poke and local food places on Kauai. We have friends here who eat here multiple times a week. So good. Today I hot the mama's fire. One of their spicier poke's. Oh my! So good and perfect level of heat. My wife got the shoyu poke bowl and loved it too. The ginger fried chicken is worth getting too. Loved it. Great place!

Poke here was amazing! I saw someone on social media that said that it is very similar if not better than Foodland which got me to visit this place. I ordered the poke bowl with spicy ahi which is what they recommended and I was would rate it a 10/10. My boyfriend ordered the chicken plate since he does not eat fish and he said that is was just missing a good sauce. The people operating the place were very kind and efficient. And the space was small and there are no places to sit but you can easily go to your car or head over to the nearest beach and enjoy your meal.

They are reopening on Jan 18, 2026.

I go out of my way to get food at Konohiki Seafood. The selection is good and the seafood has been fresh. I love the scallops, muscles, lomi lomi salmon, the shrimp and crab spicy poke, the seaweed salad, the potato mac salad, the kimchi cucumbers and fresh rice. I usually get a bunch of individual containers and take it home for the family to devour. Everyone loves it. One things to note is that there is no where to sit and everything is to go. Just want to set an accurate expectation that this is not a "restaurant." Think of it more like an efficient take out place with good food. Bring cash if you want to tip because there is no tipping option on credit card payments.

Great place for poke. A hole in the wall, line out the door. Take out only. Ordered hamachi poke, spicy ahi poke, spicy kimchi shrimp poke , fried ginger chicken and calamari. Fried ginger chicken delicious but if you are on the fence on ginger do not get this! If you like ginger this chicken is for you! Great price. Fresh fish. Not a place to take a date but a great place to pick up take out for a picnic!

This is a grab and go spot. There's no indoor seating. It's more like a small market. There's plenty of bottled drink choices. The lines move quickly. There's a big parking lot right in front (watch out for the parking lot chickens). Everything is full of flavor. Love that they have poke for me, but also hot food options for the kiddos as well. This was our first time here and won't be our last.

Service was great! The aunty answered all our questions and got our order together with no mistakes! They have a lot of options! A classic Hawaii convenience store with a little bit of everything! Ordered a poke bowl, laulau, fried ginger chicken, fried ginger shrimp, and some other random items. The laulau I would skip. Dried out leaves and tasted reheated. Overall a 2/5... The ginger chicken has bones just an fyi. This was okay but a lot of the pieces we had were straight bones. 3/5 The ginger shrimp were good! Nice crunch and great flavor. 4/5 The poke bowl the wife said was ok. Nothing special and she said the price was kinda high. 3/5 Overall a good spot to come before the beach to get some snacks or a quick bite.

My favorite poke on the island! There is nothing like it. My go to order is their Toridon plate with spicy ahi, fried chicken, and mac salad. Gotta get there early to grab one of their haupia pies - you won't regret it! For quick snack, gotta get a few inari butter bombs (all of them are tasty). Aunteh will take care of ya, shootz

Konohiki Seafoods is pretty much a must for me whenever I land in Lihue. It's super close to the airport, so I usually stop here right after landing before heading out. It's a small spot with no seating, so everything is to go. I really like the freshness and variety of their poke and rice plate options, but honestly one of my favorite things is checking out their specials. They had this dynamite/spicy ahi one before (can't remember the name) that actually had some really good kick to it. It can be a bit pricey, but I still keep coming back because the food is consistently good and the location is just too convenient. At this point, it's part of the Kauai routine for me.

Amazing! I love that the best poke places are next to a laundromat! Seriously everything here was really good. They let us try pretty much everything they had in the case and gave us recommendations of their fav ones. We ended up getting the spicy tuna and the octopus. Missing it already! Food: 5 Service: 4.5 Ambiance: 3 Marcels foodie score: 4.2

Small market located in a plaza so easy parking available. I got their salmon poke and furikake ahi and both were so fresh and good! I think out of these two I preferred the salmon, super simple well flavored and delicious! Could taste the freshness of the salmon. So good I also tried their ginger shrimp inari. This was surprisingly one of my favorites! So flavorful and good. Killed it in two bites lol Their seaweed salad was a nice side to balance out this delicious meal! Will come again!

I happen to search lunch stops on Instagram and came across Lawai'a, I actually made 2 stops, the day before and the day of flight. Cute little store, very popular and busy parking lot. Lawai'a Fish Co. reminds me of Tanioka's back on Oahu. This business got so much seafood goodies along with snacks, desserts, Wow! One stop shop for everything! I also saw a post for cheap eats and had to see it for myself, hehe, the table in front has pre-packaged bento and I spot one that was $6. hard to believe nowdays. I didn't get the plate lunch which looks good too or the poke variety, we had lunch plans so first visit was spicy poke for the other half to try, the tofu poke, and $6. bento of fried ahi limu for me. I am not a fan of poke and don't eat anything raw, so jealous of my hubby and kids to love it so much! I was happy that hey have a fried ahi bento available for only $6. We/I really enjoyed bento, hubby mentioned the spicy ahi was great and that tofu poke salad, WOW. I loved the taste, comes with tofu, sea asparagus, and onion, so GOOD! I stopped by the next day to grab 2 containers of the tofu poke and the ginger fried poke $6. bento. This place is a GEM for sure, very busy, I cannot wait to be back!!

You don't see hamachi poke often but it's one of my favorite types of sushi. Chili ahi was good as well and definitely had a kick. We also wanted to try tako (octopus) and got the kimchi tako which was nice and tender. Surprisingly the kimchi was pretty spicy too. Overall great spot for poke and I'll definitely need to come back if I'm in Kauai in the future. I'm still thinking about the hamachi poke a couple weeks ago.

The first night, my husband ordered the prime rib special with mac salad and rice, which was basically his dream come true, and I got the loco moco, which I shared with my toddler. Once again, every dish was a hit. The proteins were flavorful and filling, and the mac salad deserves its own shoutout. It may be my favorite mac salad on the island. This is absolutely the kind of place we'll return to on our next visit. It's also conveniently located near the airport, making it a great first stop when you arrive or a last meal before heading home. A couple things to know before you go: parking was easy when we visited, but there isn't any seating. This is very much a pick-up-and-go spot. I'd recommend calling ahead and placing your order so you're not waiting around. Great food, generous portions, and the kind of local spot you hope to find when traveling. We'll definitely be back.

Perfectly balanced with an out of this world macadamia nut dusted rim. And it's a truly special restaurant too. It's the first place we go when we land, tucked in The Timbers close the airport, you can go from airport to relaxing poolside with a spectacular view in 5 minutes. They kindly took the soup off the bill even though I didn't ask for that, given I had eaten most of it. The burger was also good, cooked to order. I chose fried for my side and they came out hot and tasty. It was a large portion, too, so much that I still had some left even after sharing. Everyone else enjoyed their meals and we had a little time to wander about through some of the shops and buy gifts. Some shops are upstairs, and there is no elevator.
