Easily our favorite Chinese restaurant in the area. We always order the same thing which is the Sesame Chicken with Broccoli, and a couple of veggie egg rolls on the side. Our order is always accurate, the food tastes great, and it's a hefty portion size of food which makes it worth the expense. We usually order it to go and it's always ready when promised. I've changed it up a few times and had the beef and chicken lo mein and that was good as well. Really like the fried rice too. The portion sizes are enough where you could make 2 meals out of it if you wanted to. read more

Last night, while watching the soccer game, I had friends over and I decided to order from Amy's Chinese Cuisine through Uber Eats after hearing so many great things about it. People were raving about how good it was, so we were excited to finally give it a try. We ordered: 2 Beef with Broccoli 3 Wonton Soups 1 Hot & Sour Soup 1 Chicken Lo Mein 1 Mongolian Beef Unfortunately, I have to say that about 90% of what we ordered was disappointing. The Beef with Broccoli was the biggest letdown. It tasted like it had almost no seasoning at all. Even after mixing in the sauce that had settled at the bottom of the container, it was still incredibly bland. The Wonton Soup had a flavorful broth, but the wontons themselves were very mushy, almost like they were undercooked. The Hot & Sour Soup was okay. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't particularly memorable either. The Mongolian Beef was, unfortunately, inedible. It was extremely oily, and the flavor was difficult to describe, it just didn't taste like something that should have been served. We couldn't finish it. The Chicken Lo Mein was probably the best dish we received. It still lacked seasoning, but it had noticeably more flavor than the rest of the meal. Overall, I was really disappointed, especially considering all of the glowing reviews I'd heard. I'm hoping this was just an off night because I know many people have had great experiences here. I'd be willing to give Amy's another chance and dine in by myself next time to see if the food is better fresh from the kitchen. Although, from the time the food was done and the food was picked up by the driver and delivered to us was minimal (no more than 10 minutes). Unfortunately, this meal was so disappointing that we ended up going out for fast food afterward. read more

Came back to our favorite Chinese restaurant yesterday. We have our main meal between three and four PM so we never hav a problem getting into a restaurant. Quickly greeted and seated, we were ably go get a glass of our favorite white wine. After some deliberation (There's lots of choices) we both decided on two different shrimp dinners along with fried rice. The first thing we noticed when walking in was quiet, comforting atmosphere. No loud music. Lunch specials are valid seven days a week, so it was a great price. The beef with vegetables was delicious. I asked Amy if they had any snow peas. And voila, my vegetables included a very generous portion of snow peas. The beef was tender, which is something you don't always find in Chinese restaurants. His Kung Pao chicken was very good, and not overwhelmingly spicy. Although I moved to round Rock 5 years ago, it is still my number one spot to visit each time I'm in Cedar Park. The problem has to do with gluten. Usually it's not been a problem but today I was told that my noodle was rice when it had the texture of wheat, I also ordered plain as a side to my dish but they charged me for a dish called lo mein. I wanted to substitute rice for plain white rice noodles, I can understand a small charge for that like most places do. Instead of replacement rice noodles I was charged lo mein. I was never told this is what was going on and they don't offer replacement even for a small fee. It was also a small amount of noodles I wanted. And I got a small amount of noodles packed with gluten with soy sauce. Not a small amount of rice noodles with no soy sauce. 1. I got something I'm highly allergic to, 2. It has soy sauce on it and I wanted plain 3. I asked for a substitution and was not told it would cost extra but they charged me for another whole dish which was input as a small mount of plain wheat noodles with soy sauce and called it lo mein and charged me for a whole big entree with no meat of veges. But soy sauce and wheat noodles which I'm allergic to! And I asked for plain white rice noodles -- no soy. 4. Last Time i checked, lo lain has veges or meat in it, Seems to me they just wanted to charge more and they didn't even give me what I ordered. I have a habit of NOT complaining unless it's really bad! The worst part was the owners voice and attitude with me, She yelled at me and refused to acknowledge that the noodles were not the right ones. She did deliver the right white rice noodles eventually but after waiting and giving up on my part and after all I went through...I let her know politely I won't be ordering from there anymore and she will be getting reviewed by me. So here it is, Last but not least, I did order gluten free soy sauce and I didn't get that the first time either, She called 10-15 minutes later because I had told her I've had problems in the past, she left a message she looked at my account and no problems in the past, it's because I Never complained about forgotten items -- usually sides, Another thing is, the quality of food isn't what it used to be. It's SO greasy! Last few times too much oil! Like a half a cup of oil in one dish, No longer a fan, Poor food. Poor service, Not safe for me to eat there. read more

Always enjoy eating at Amy's Chinese in Cedar Park. Everything we have ordered is always delicious. My favorite is shrimp or vegetable egg foo young. It is hard to find a place that makes it anymore but the chef at Amy's is accommodating to my taste buds. Service with our favorite waitress, Ms. Hannah, never disappoints. My husband and I stopped in on a Monday afternoon at 3:00 pm. Having worked in restaurants and having owned a restaurant in the past, I know this is often an "off peak" time for customers to come in and can sometimes lead to a bad experience. This was not the case. We were greeted kindly and sat promptly. The waitress took time to explain menu items and suggest items we might like. They completed the online order quickly and I did not have to wait at all when picking my order up. Both dishes were very good, we had no complaints. First of all SUPER NICE PEOPLE, the place looked clean but this is just my opinion only. Ordered a margarita and a sweet tea, margarita was a mix not sure if it had any tequila in it at all or if it was a wine-a-rita but tasted like a lemonade. My husband ordered a sweet tea he said it smelled a bit like the ice and shrimp were kept together. My husband ordered the spicy house chicken it came with rice and veggies. He said it was ok but did lack a bit on flavor/spices. The fried rice was good. I had the spicy house shrimp and I did like it, I agree with lacking in spices and I did add a a splash of soy sauce. I Love coming here for quick, friendly service and delicious Chinese food. On our most recent visit it was busier than I've seen it but we were still seated right away. It was nice and bright in there since it's all windows in from and on the sides which is always nice. Our orders were taken and brought out surprisingly quick, like...there was almost no wait! I love Chinese take out so the other night when it was raining we decided it was a great time to try Amy's. We used their in-house delivery and place an order online. We immediately got a call that someone at the restaurant had accidentally moved our delivery window out 30 minutes, we didn't mind at all but it was nice they let us know. Our food arrived and once we got it to the kitchen and opened it we realized it was definitely not our order. Luckily, we liked most of the food that was in who ever's order we received! Egg rolls were tasty, egg drop soup was pretty standard, and beef with broccoli was as expected. The fried rice didn't have much flavor and the chicken in the sweet and sour chicken was dry. We also received some sort of curry pork noodles that were actually our favorite even though we didn't order them. Overall, the food was decent and the pricing was normal. I will say it was the hottest Chinese food delivery we've ever had arrive at our house. The mix up in the order happens, I just think there are better options closer to us! read more

Ordered food to be delivered and the tastiest dish was the sesame scallops. I would highly recommend if you're looking for something different. The sauce was just delicious, scallops were cooked to perfection, mushrooms were scrumptious and the snow peas great. We also had the chicken lo mein which was the second best dish we had, nice presentation and yummy. Additional things we had were the chicken with garlic sauce which wasn't garlicky at all, probably say to pass on that if you're looking for garlicky goodness. The house special lemon chicken was the traditional heavily coated deep fried but it was tasty in its own right. I'm glad they put the sauce on the side cause the dish didn't really need it. So if you could only afford one dish - I would stick with the sesame scallops! So good! read more
