I don't know where to begin so I'll start by saying we JUST finished our engagement photo shoot…read morewith Jamie. We got the full package (the most expensive one) that includes the following: 800-1000 images (all day), edited High res CD of images, engagement session, 8x10 coffee table album with 30 prints of your choice, and filler images photographers choice, 2- 7x7 coffee table albums with 10-20 prints of your choice for parents. I won't share the price as I imagine she'll increase them as her business grows (even at the time of booking I thought it was a steal!) but I would've been happy paying hundreds more based on our experience today. In case you don't have the time to read my novel, here are my main points: Jamie's communication with her clients is second to NONE (seriously, THE best wedding vendor I've worked with thus far). Her professionalism and honesty is what I love about her most. And ultimately, the reason we hired her is because she's a talented artist that has a way of making the most ordinary backdrops extraordinary. She flew in from CA this morning, got hit in her rental car on her way to meet us from the airport and still managed to make it with plenty of time to shoot the whole day. We had lunch and got to know her a bit before the shoot began. She's lovely, absolutely wonderful. And it was because she's so cool and laid back that we felt comfortable taking direction from her. We walked around Portland and followed her lead: she photographed us in front of random walls, parking lots and a record store and we completely trusted her. I kid you not the woman was on her knees, sitting on cement and walking into busy streets to get her shot, all while making us laugh and look good. She would shows us images from time to time and I was blown away. She followed us home for our second outfit and wanted to take photos of us there before venturing out into the city again. I never thought our home would be an appropriate location but it was. In fact, I'm looking forward to having these photos as a memento of our first home together. After one more outing into the city, we made our way to the gorge. I knew I wanted to shoot there as it's where my fiance and I got engaged. THIS is where I fell in love with Jamie even more. She literally climbed up wet rocks with fashionable boots on just to check out a spot to see if it would photograph well. Then she'd ask us to join her and we all made it up to the most perfect spot at Oneonta. It was magical, so fun and adventurous. I saw a few images of this shoot on her camera and I have a feeling the gorge shots will be my favorite. If I'm this elated over engagement photos, I'm sure I'll be over the moon with our wedding photos this summer. I cannot recommend her enough. Book her while you can, future brides!

When we found Nicole we couldn't believe how easy she was to work with. We scheduled our engagement photo session in Santa Barbara one cloudy day and got to know her and her ultra helpful husband Scott. My now husband does not like to be in photographs. In fact, after a decade of being together, the engagement shoot was our first formal portrait session that we had ever taken. He was nervous, and so was I - but Nicole made us feel completely at ease. She was great at making us feel loose and worked with us to make sure we felt comfortable. Our photos came out amazing, and everyone we showed them to agreed! Months later, she took the time to speak with me before the wedding to go over every aspect that was important for me to capture. She was incredibly patient with me, since like I said, I am quite detail oriented! All throughout the process I always felt that she was part of "my team" and that I could count on her for whatever was needed. On the actual wedding day I was nervous of course but she worked wonders to capture the best possible photos in every location. From the bride getting ready shots, to the first look photos, to our sunset photos - she got it all! And the photos she took were spectacular! She even continued to photograph when our venue apparently forgot to prepare the vendor's dinner! Some things on the wedding day, you can't plan for, and she was so easy going despite that setback.
