Just left this place for a pedicure. I got the upgraded pedicure which was $37. It took the guy who did it in15 minutes, which I find absurd. I had gel on my toes. They charged me an extra $5 at the counter, but didn't bother to tell me. I get that gel polish is usually extra to take off but you should probably tell customers when there is an extra charge. I debated on even leaving a review because any one star review I read threw the owner of this company essentially blames the customers. HORRIBLE PLACE. WOULDNT EVER GO BACK. read more

My son asked if you were speaking Spanish i'm not sure how that's an unacceptable question to ask. All you had to say was, 'No, he's six.' He asked many other questions too, and you still ignored him. He messed up his toes twice and when he messed up the third time I told him, " Let's go we're not gonna fix it. You have to keep your toes still." So I'm very confused about that part of me not saying anything. And my son was barely moving his feet. His back was moving because of the massage chair.. And I turned it off. My son was confused about whether he had to put his feet back in the water or keep them out; he was not splashing. And as you said, I've been coming here for a very long time you know me so this was a very hard thing to write. But I did not speak out of character or tell lies. This past year I just started adding pedicures as I've never been one to enjoy people touching or looking at my feet. I can get in same week most times and my nails last a good month which is beyond amazing!! I'm not one to leave a bad review but this was the worst experience I've had at a nail salon. I was there for two and a half hours ( yes I know it takes a while for a mani pedi but I've never been there longer than an hour and a half tops ) the only reason they get a 1 is because my nails are exactly what I wanted and I love them but the person who did my manicure cut my fingers. On my pinky it was the skin under my nail below the cuticle where there is reason for it to be cut. As well as two other fingers. The person who did my pedicure didn't paint my whole toenail and when i said something she told me it was my skin. She did fix it and paint my complete nail. I have never once been to a nail salon and left with bleeding fingers and fresh cuts. While having to pay full price. She put a powder on the cut and was touching my blood with her bare hands. Extremely unsafe and gross. Overall just a bad experience just don't want it to happen to someone else as the only reason I came here was the good reviews. In response to you amy: my cuticles being "dry" had nothing To do the the cuts on my actual finger underneath my nails and cuticles. And you're shaming me for having short toenails?? You hacked up four different fingers. No matter how dry my hands have been I have never once left with bleeding fingers. I mentioned it several times that it was my skin not my cuticle and you brushed it off and had me pay full price. That's bad business and bad customer service. I just want people to know. Also based on the way you respond to peoples reviews I should've read more into it before going to you in the first place. read more

I've visited many nails salons in my 5 years of living in the Springs. Amy's is the only one I've found that I've stayed loyal to for the past 2 1/2 years. I prefer the "dip" acrylic nails and Amy is the best. Very courteous and professional and my nails always last 3+ weeks. I won't go anywhere else. I hesitate to give even one star . Staff was nice enough but the cleanliness was very much lacking . Cuticle clippers had blood and old dry cuticles left on them( not mine ! Towels were dirty and had nail Clippings from previous client . I pretended to have an emergency and left immediately after seeing the conditions. Beware ! I had an appointment at 12 for a pedicure. They were very busy and short staffed so I didn't get started until 1240. Amy was very nice offering water and having me sit in a massage chair while I waited. The pedi itself was fine but felt very rushed. I love it that they're open until 7:30 pm which is very helpful for folks like me who don't get off of work until after 5 pm. I had a lovely lady do a fantastic pedicure (this woman had her work cut out for her because I have a bad ingrown nail that she fixed and there was NO PAIN) and she was nice to give me a discount on my first ever shellac nails. The staff was courteous, the salon was clean and the service was superb. It was great is all I can say! read more

Got a fill and the guy did them I can't remember his name. But they were originally white with a yellow accent and literally a day later they turned this ugly grey color and two on my other hand broke. I haven't done anything to explain why this color change happened. I've gotten white gel acrylics before and this has never happened. Also, over priced and disappointed. I went here after another nail salon put on a full set and I needed a fill. Once I was seated with someone, he started removing my nail polish and you could immediately tell the new set only 2.5 weeks old was falling off. He took the set off, free of charge since they just popped off so easily, and shaped and shellac'd my natural nails. He made my natural nails look so much better after I decided to stick with my natural nails rather than a set of acrylics. Their prices are reasonable and they did a fantastic job. My sister and I went here today for pedis for her birthday and we will not be returning. The lady that did my sisters took a chunk out of my sisters ankle and she never attempted to apologize for. My toe nails look awful even after having the nail tech repaint my big toes. When we tried to complain to the lady who cashed us out, she didn't try to apologize either for what happened to my sisters ankle and just argued with me about mine. I really wish now that we had never paid. Definitely not worth the $60. read more

Let me start by saying Amy the owner is a lovely owner. However, our experience was very bad today. It was busy so we waited awhile but that was okay because we didn't have an appointment. The service was rushed and the results weren't what you would expect after waiting an hour. Tammy was one of the ladies that worked on our nails and she was very unprofessional and rude. My mom asked her to fix her nail and she told my mom to wait in a very rude way. My mom then had to ask her to not dig her nails into her skin and she got upset and dismissed her comment without fixing her actions. If you try this shop out, DONT let Tammy work on your nails. read more

When trying to relax and get pampered it makes me uncomfortable to have to deal with that and bite my tounge. Big salon, however has many downfalls. The woman that did my nails got extremely rude when i was asking about different kinds of nails and the owner Amy just ignored it. Amy herself is super friendly so i'm surprised she didn't put her employee in check. The lady that did my nails didn't cover the tips, so literally 2 days after a gel manicure, I can feel my nails getting scratchy underneath the gel that she left uncovered from the polish. She was also rough and left me with a bloody cuticle. The biggest reasons I won't be back to this salon is their constant conversations in their language which you just KNOW without a doubt are about you. Second biggest reason is their pricing. A gel manicure shouldn't be $45 plus tip! It's just painting nails whereas getting fake tips costs the same. Other competitors charge $25 for gel polish, so this place is extremely overpriced. Amy's Nails II is my favorite salon. The first time I visited, I was impressed with the quality work done on my nails. When I returned 2 weeks later, Amy greeted me by my first name! I have been going to Amy's for over a year now, and will continue to go back. The entire staff at Amy's has always treated me like family, making sure I was comfortable, bringing me a water or whatever I needed. They are courteous and professional at all times. I enjoy going there for a fill or a pedi. I happened to be in the shop when Jodie S.'s daughter and her friend came in. I was shocked to listen to the girl try to bully Amy into giving her an entire new set of nails FOR FREE because one came off. After reading Jodie's review, I felt compelled to voice my opinion. I have had nails come off completely before, so I just wonder how many "years" Jodie herself has worn acrylics. I also do not believe that Amy would have refused to re-do color on Jodie's daughter's nails. I have had polish look fine to me, but if the staff at Amy's were not satisfied with it, they would not let me leave until it was up to their standards. Sorry Jodie. Usually rude. They talk to each other like your not there and seem annoyed when you have any questions. I called to see if they could get me in at 7 because I get off work at 6 across town and I'm leaving for Mexico tomorrow and they said no because they take their last apt at 6:30 even though they close at 7:30. It was a nail emergency and I was going to bring my business there, but because of the rude lady on the phone and no ability to work with me I wont be going back. Been coming here for a year now. I've probably seen most of the nail techs in the salon they all do a great job. I've been to many nail salons to get my nails done in Colorado Springs but Amy's is by far the best. I like the acrylic powder and they are the only salon that gets them to last for 3-4 weeks between fills which is why I will always continue to go here. However, it was very expensive. $58 for a new set that broken down was $3 to take off my previous set and $5 to get the coffin shape. Those things I would think would be included without additional charge, but I guess not. Now I do not usually have a problem paying more for good work because I am a loyal customer that way, but this was a little unusual. I would probably return. Would I recommend it? Yes. read more
