Unfortunately, the most recent job showed a complete change in their ethics and customer care. I called them to fix a leaking bathtub faucet in my guest bathroom. The leak came back within one day that I paid $200+ to fix. I called them to come back the next day but was ghosted. The gal on the phone took my info and said she would call back. After an hour I called again and she said she needed to speak to the plumber that did the work and then to Amy. No one called me back and when I tried to call two times several hours later I couldn't get anyone to answer. Everything about this service was exceptional from my first phone call to the plumber who did the repair and the price. I had another yelp plumber come first and give me a price which was 30 to 40% more and when I said no thank you his manager called me back 10 minutes later and dropped the price significantly I felt like I was buying a used car not somebody that I would use ever as a plumber. Amy's did a good job installing my outdoor spigot, connected to my indoor plumbing. I had to hire a drywall repair person who they recommended and drywall installer did a good job, though I had to smooth and even out the new drywall a lot before painting. On my new utility sink, Amy's was able to adapt the piping to the existing piping, though there is a small leak, probably not their fault. Hope they will come back soon to fix. (I contacted four plumbers, learning that two were closed on weekends (??), and another was not available till Monday.) Amy quoted a flat rate ahead of time, very reasonable, to snake the main plumbing vent from my roof to alleviate an overflowing shower drain in one bathroom. Derrick had the problem fixed and even brought in his shop vac to dry up the water from the bathroom floor, because he heard me say my son had used all my clean towels and I was trying to get to Miami to see my daughter while she was in town for the day. When I thanked him for that, he said he didn't want me stuck at home doing laundry! Unfortunately, on Sunday night, another bathroom had a similar problem, likely related. So far so good. The lady who answers the phone is very friendly, nice and knowledgeable. The only thing we had miscommunication with is the time when the techs will come. At the time I requested the service it was a rainy day and the lady said they will come after 12pm for sure (I made a call at around 9am). After I hang out the phone the rain got cleared but I had to wait 3 hours for the techs to come. Then I checked the weather and it was saying that the chances rain will come again are higher again after 12pm. I called and explained it to them, they said the techs will come in 30 mins. They did! My guest bath had a horrible circa-1980s phone boot type shower. I lived with it for some time because it was the guest bath, but then the shower pan started leaking. I had use Amy's plumbing for a small repair earlier, and was impressed with their work. It made sense to enlarge the shower, since the pan had to be replaced anyway. It took a long time to get this done, but only because the city took some time to approve the permit. Amy was much more patient with that permit process than I was! But when the permit was was approved, the old shower was demoed and the new shower pan was installed in a day and easily passed inspection. I'm just about to hire someone to re-tile and install my shower door, but I'm thrilled with the work Amy's Plumbing did, and thought the price was reasonable. They showed up late. I never knew morning was at 2pm. They took about five minutes or less from walking in to the bathtub and say they need to do a smoke test. Why smoke test when it is clearly isolated to this location. Call a different plumber and smoke test in a condo not a good idea. Update: I have a message that clearly says morning not afternoon. In addition smoke test is for not knowing the location. Clearly it is isolated to underneath the bathroom. Update after call: Apparently another plumber could destroy my house. Apparently smoke test is a great method for a house completely enclosed in which i inform the tech. It was a free estimate but my time waiting cost me above fifty dollars or more. I contracted them for a repiping job and got a quote from Amy that was really "affordable" for my budget.
