I am extremely upset with this business. I called ahead of time to pick up my alterations and she said it would be ready by 2 PM. I arrive at 4:30 and she tells me they are not ready and to come back closer to closing time at 6:30. When I came to pick up my alterations she wouldn't let me try them on and hurried me out the door so they could close. After arriving home I found grease stains splattered ALL over and a small hole in the dress!!! I went back the next day to speak with the owner and she denied it happened at her shop and immediately got rude and told me to get out of her store. The dress was brand new and had no stains before. This is absolutely unacceptable and not worth the price if your clothes are stained! Do not come here Tira's Alterations will ruin your clothes! I highly DO NOT recommend this business. They do not care about your time either. Extremely unprofessional. read more

I have seen some bad reviews, however Tira's is 5 stars all the way $20 cheaper to have sleeves shortened than the Keller area tailors. READ the receipt ticket: CALL BEFORE PICKUP... I called the morning my alteration was to be picked up and she confirmed pickup after 1pm. read more

The owner is really unkind. I called on a Friday to see if my order would be ready Saturday morning (I was going to be out that way in the morning around the time the shop opened), and I was told the items would be ready. I got there and my items weren't ready. She said I could come back in a few hours, but I live 30/+ minutes away (I would spend another hour and a half in the car, 30 minutes home, 30 to get back to the shop, then 30 minutes back home) to which she said "oh it's okay, other people come from an hour or farther". Other customers drive time has nothing to do with my situation. I gave her another shot, and when I called to see if the items were ready, she had no idea if my stuff was ready or not but said she didn't think it was ready after almost 4 weeks. The owner (who is the only worker or one of a small group of workers) has done nothing to apologize, explain what issues arose, how issues will not arise in the future, offer a discount to try to make things right, etc If you're okay being treated poorly, the prices are really good. But I'll pay slightly more to receive better treatment at another shop. read more

Dropped off 7 pairs of pants and was told it was be a week and a half. I read the reviews that said she never has the clothes ready, so I gave her three more days. I arrived only to be told that they still weren't ready. She asked me to come back 3 hours later. I arrived 5 hours later, again to give her more time. My clothes were ready, she tried to give me two other articles that weren't mine. She lost two of my items. After locating my items, I witnessed that she had not finished the items. Again she asked me to come back. I told her I would wait. While I was in the lobby, she began to have a conversation with another lady and did not finish my items first. I started explaining to my daughter in spanish what the Asian lady was trying to say on making a patch and she shut her books with frustration, and told me I was the parent and I didnt have to explain to her what we were discussing that I needed to make the decision myself. I then told her I was her parent & It was her backpack I was gonna give her to choose She yelled at me telling me how stupid I was and that she didn't do service with kids only with adults. Used her for years, The only time there was an error, a new employee turned my new Wranglers into blue jean shorts rather than hem up an inch, Tira came right out and paid for 6 pair of new jeans and then gave me the shorts. Although frequently the work is slow, I have never had a complaint! We will continue to utilize Tira because of her quality and honorable way of doing business. I do not expect her to do my job first just because it can be done in a few minutes any more than you should expect the electrician or plumber to drop everyone else ahead of you just because your project should only take a few minutes. She is personable and very reasonable on pricing. If you want it faster offer to pay for expedited service rather than complain that it took a week. read more

If I could give this play 0/5 stars I would. Went it to get my suit jacket sleeves lengthened by 1/4 of an inch. She told me it would take a week. I came back with my suit jacket not ready and I had to wait for an hour while it was finished. Brought the jacket back home to find the suit jacket sleeves buttons were no longer usable. She had sworn the buttons to the sleeves. Looking at the stitching on the inside of the sleeves it looked like a 3 year old was left in charge of my garment. I will never be returning here. It shouldn't take a WEEK to do a hem! Stopped in here on a Saturday. I wanted two inches removed from the legs of a pair of Levi's then the original hem put back on. Was told the jeans would be ready the following Friday. I paid & left. Rather than pick them up on Friday, I returned that Saturday and was informed that first, she couldn't find the jeans then they weren't ready. "Come back in 1 hour." Quality is good, turn around is terrible and my items were suppose to be done on a Tuesday and I came in Thursday and she had only finished one of the two shirts. When I dropped off I also watched her turn away an elderly man who was there to pick up and she had not finished his item either. Upon pick up of my items I watched her ask a female police officer to come back when she wasn't so busy... Either they are undermanned or she needs a CPI to come and analyze her process. read more

I put in 9 pairs of pants including jeans, took a week . I understand the waiting in line till she gets to your items, as I am not the only one needing alterations. People are in a hurry need take them else where so you are charged double instead of waiting. Seems it is easier to complain about the time than be patient. This is a small shop, not a big company. Brought in 2 pairs of pants to be hemmed. Was told 1 week. Went back in 1 week and she said not ready yet. Come back tomorrow. Long drive for me but said okay. Went back the next day, late, near closing....still not done. Told me to wait. She went to the back and just then started work on them. I could hear her rushing to get them done. Brought both pants out crumbled up on a hanger. Did not say one word to me as she charged me full price. No apology, nothing. Made me feel like I did something wrong for bringing her business. I've been taking dresses here to get altered since high school, but the past few dresses I have taken have pretty much been ruined or stained somehow. Also, the amount of time she quotes for it to be ready is NEVER that actual date, so call her before you drive there to make sure it's ready. My bridesmaid dress this time around was supposed to be done last Friday or Saturday, but it wasn't ready until Tuesday. I tried the dress on at home and there are marker stains on the dress where she marked it all around, but can't be cleaned now. The stains are pretty obvious near the bottom of the dress. The slip of the dress is longer than the overlay, as if she missed that part. This is not the first time she didn't hem the slip of the dress to match the overlay. I understand the fabric isn't the easiest to hem, but it's not an excuse. She's a nice woman, but $40 to get back my bridesmaid dress with stains and not correctly hemmed is pretty outrageous! I really don't have time to take it back to her to take another week to fix it (which she has offered to do in the past). Not happy! read more
