I called them for electrical range outlet inspection as range / oven was not heating properly and malfunctioning. Although Massis came same day ( hence 2 stars) but he didn't even bother to check voltage of outlet. He just Chalked it up to range needs higher amps. Guess he was lazy to move stove and inspect outlet. Why even bother to come if you are not interested to help or be in rush! Waste customer time! Later I had another electrician who came by later and did thorough check up and detected the flaw in the outlet wiring was not correctly installed and repaired it for me. I had reached out to Massis for a Tesla Wall Charger installed in my house which also required the proper permitting from the city. Trevor came right on time, was very friendly, and super efficient at determining issues with our spa subpanel and three other exterior outlets. Now we have our low voltage landscape lighting and sprinklers back in service, and we've made a calling to get spa repaired. Finding an electrician to install a Tesla Wall charger seems to yield quotes all over the place, when it comes to installation pricing. It seems so many electricians add in a hidden "Tesla tax". After communicating with a number of electricians on Yelp, Massis from AMZ Electric was the only one who didn't seem to have a "Tesla tax" upcharge. His price was very reasonable for installing a 60-amp circuit to my main panel, then to a service interruption box, then to the Tesla wall charger (which I purchased separately directly from Tesla). What's even above and beyond just installing these things were: 1. He provided me with a diagram of the project for me to include in my submission to my city for permit application (I elected to do the permit process on my own to save some $) 2. He provided me with load calculations also needed for the city permit application 3. He was very responsive throughout the entire process... answering all questions that I had with quick turnaround time 4. He was very punctual for both appointments! I am in the midst of a home remodel. Stressful times. But AMZ Electric made the experience much more pleasant. Massis and Trevor helped us with moving our fridge outlet (our fridge location moved), customized and installed new LED under cabinet lighting for our new kitchen cabinets , changed canned CFLs to pendant lights above our new kitchen island + electrical inside kitchen island to allow for Insta hot water heater, retrofitted 18 CFL canned lights to new LEDs , and reinstalled our kitchen outlets after our counter backsplash install. Given the sequence of steps for our remodel project and the pendant light lead times, Massis and Trevor were very accommodating to our schedule and the work took a few trips over a period of 3 months. Massis ordered the ceiling LED lights for us and I over estimated the number of LED lights needed ( I think I was off by 2) and even made last minute requests like adding a dimmer switch for our pendant lights. No problem. Cost was very reasonable and fair as others have pointed out. Great quality of work. Bottom line, we've been very happy with the outcome and grateful AMZ Electric contributed so much to making our remodel a great experience. read more

Wow! I was blown away by the service quality and professionalism of AMZ Electric. I called in the morning and got someone in the exact same day, since they were in the San Ramon area. Trevor came by and I basically needed two jobs. The first was a Ring Floodlight installation, and the second was to fix my Google Nest Thermostat's C-wire issue. On the Ring Floodlight, Trevor was amazing at the job. The wires were clean, he did the job super quick, and navigated around any complexities I had in the garage (metal studs, and a weird gap between the ring floodlight placement and the inside of the garage). Funny dude, and had great stories and taught me a bunch about how the wiring would work. After he's done, he then helped me with troubleshooting my Google Nest Thermostat. Google's given me a nest power connector, and Trevor seemed like he would know exactly how to install it. But he went even further above and beyond and fished out an actual C-wire from my thermostat. It wasn't live, so he then went up the attic and connected the C wires to both my thermostat (made them live at the furnace / splitters), not even needing the Google Nest Power Connector at all! Amazing job, and I will 100% use AMZ Electric again for a bunch of future projects! read more

Massis came with one of his workers to replace our old 80's light with new glass light. The light fixture was more complicated than initially thought because the attachment was not conventional; Massis had to trim items and drill additional holes. Luckily he had supplies (black trim too) in his truck. He didn't charge any extra for the additional time and labor it took to hang the light. We also had him replace an exterior electrical box and add an additional outlet to outside of house. All the job performed were well done and price reasonable. I got an estimate last month to install a door bell system for my house since my house didn't have an existing door bell set up. Massis was busy so he sent out Trevor for a free estimate. He was in and out within 10 minutes and gave me an estimate on the spot. I told him to put me down on the appointment since they were booked 1 month ahead.
