From the initial contact, Fuse representative advisor, Gene, gave me confidence in the company's reputation. Gene was able to trouble shoot the issue with my "old" AC condenser in less than 10 minutes. I had another company do an evaluation, but after 30 minutes, was still unable to determine the issue. Gene provided all options, including repair to the "old" unit. I ended with a replacement option that Gene recommended that's both practical & affordable for me, which was not offered to me by 2 other companies. Fuse came to install the new condenser 2 days later. I'm really impressed with the Fuse installation team, Henry & Alex. Henry and Artem replaced my old gas furnace with a new Daikin R-32 heat pump. They were very professional and worked very hard throughout the wind & rain we had this week. They also installed a mini-split for my garage and both units work well right now. They ran into some issues when starting as my utility "closet" was attached to the exterior of the house so the installation orientation wasn't what Henry was used to installing- this did delay the start on the first for three hours but after consulting with his Fuse team they had an example of another install that would fit in the shed footprint. The installation was a great value as the Fuse estimate was very competitive (no surcharge for paying with credit card either). These guys installed our heat pump two years ago and were really great to work with. Recently, we discovered rats (long story short is we have a peach tree in our back yard that the rats loved) they had gotten into our heat pump unit causing it to malfunction. They came out right away and helped assess the damage. Our manufacturer warranty wouldn't cover the damage the rats did but regardless really, really impressed with how helpful these guys have been. As well as what issues to look out for and when to reach out to have them resolved. Fuse is a great company. They've upgraded my electrical panel on my home and installed the one for my ADU. I was participating in a program sponsored by Silicon Valley Clean Energy to replace my old HVAC system with a heat pump. It was a great program financially and I decided to let go of my 28 year old gas furnace and AC unit. All the details were managed by the program from the selection of the new systems to the installing companies. I admit to being a bit nervous about that as I've always carefully screened and chosen everything in this house and every contractor. But I was so fortunate to get an awesome crew from Fuse! My framing created some complications with a larger intake we wanted to put in and, overall, I think my project took more than expected. But Austin and Victor worked diligently through everything and cleaned up the house each day before they left. They explained everything to me along the way and resolved the issues. I got tutorials on my new thermostat and on how to change filters in the new air handler. Fuse also has an ongoing maintenance group and I'm inclined to call them down the road as they have been excellent so far. I couldn't be happier with the excellent service work by Austin and Victor. My gas heater began making strange noises, so I called Fuse HVAC to come out and take a look. They were able to come out the same day and diagnose the problem, they said it was the draft inducer. They gave me an estimate, but said they would have to order the part and return at a later date. Fuse doesn't give free estimates, but they deduct the service fee from your total bill if you elect to have them complete the repair. Since we wanted the heater back online as soon as possible, we told them to go ahead. Much to my surprise, they were able to obtain the part and return the next day to complete the repair, and it only took a few minutes to install the new part, so my heater was back up and running in 24 hours. So, here is my summary: Pros: Prompt efficient service, problem diagnosed and repaired correctly over a span of two visits. Cons: No free estimates read more

PGE said our pilot generator and gas central valve might both be having problems so we brought someone out to buy and install appropriate parts. It is running again and we got a modern thermostat thrown in. He also cleaned out the dust which we've neglected and put in a new bit of length on the part that distributes gas. In the end I think we might not have needed the valve at all and the price was lower than the estimate. Yay! Recently, our brand new and newly installed luxury Miele dishwasher (the very best and newest model) had a drainage problem. We cleaned the filter out and ran the garbage disposal for a few minutes - but none of the tricks worked. Sent out a bunch of random Yelp requests for appliance repairs specifically on dishwashers, and Kevin at Fuse reached out quickly and offered to come out the next day. Thanks Yelp for letting us know that they are fully licensed to do this work. Fuse's team of two - Kevin and Max - texted us they were on the way, took off their shoes (thank you!), and immediately got to work. Took off the wooden panel, unscrewed everything, and began their diagnostic and investigation. After telling us that the drain pipe is clogged by something and us agreeing to their provided estimate of $250 minus 10% military discount, they started taking the pipes and hoses out under the sink to clean. They brought all their tools and bucket. After three hours, they ran a few tests on the dishwasher, and viola - the water drained! On their initial test, there was a crazy crashing noise that I've never heard before, so they took it all apart again and found a pin in the draining hose - thank goodness I was there while they were running the final tests! After the job was done, they texted us the invoice, we paid the invoice via Apple Pay, and we received the receipt of payment - all over the phone! What a very efficient and smooth process! The next day, the office manager or owner, Kevin, called to make sure everything went smoothly. My only concern was the language barrier (Russian) between Kevin/Max and us; as long as we spoke clearly and slowly, they'd let us know that they understood. We told Kevin (who was on the phone with us) that the water drains extremely slowly in our kitchen sink drain, which is completely new to us, and he seemed to not understand what we were trying to explain. Other than the slow kitchen sink drain, they got the job done with the dish washer and that's all that matters to us! We will have to call Kevin or check the kitchen drain ourselves to ensure everything is okay. Thank you. read more
