To secure the appointment, I had to prepay for a package that included full diagnostics and replacement of up to two devices. I felt comfortable paying upfront because of their reviews and business model, and I was on a tight timeline. On 2/11, the technician arrived on time, diagnosed the issue, and restored power to two non-working outlets. However, the job was not completed as agreed because the outlets required GFCI replacements. The technician said he was not informed that outlets needed to be replaced and did not have the necessary materials. That lack of preparation immediately caused delays. I also felt there was more focus on upselling a larger future project rather than completing the paid scope of work for the day. After I contacted the company, a follow-up was scheduled for 2/13/26. I was initially given a two-hour window, but the appointment was changed last-minute to later time that evening. The second technician was efficient and completed the outlet replacements in about 30-40 minutes. Still, the overall experience resulted in a multi-day setback that impacted my next urgent project and now not allowing me to move forward due to the long weekend (president's day). To their credit, management followed up and set up a call 2/17/26 with the manager of operations; they ultimately honored their "Five or Free" guarantee. However, I was initially told that all five promises had to be broken to qualify for a full refund, which contradicts their stated policy. Their guarantee clearly states that if even one promise is missed, the service is free; so I had to reference their own website during that discussion. At the end I appreciate that the full refund was ultimately offered / issued. However, due to the lack of preparedness, delays, and overall experience, I would not hire them again.

The job was figuring out about 12 three-way switches throughout my house. I had tried to tackle it, knowing a fair amount about electrical, I also tried to tackle it with a general contractor on the phone as I attempted to correct the situation again about three weeks later. After failing both times to figure it out I was pretty sure no one was gonna be able to figure it out. ( my ego talking) I had spoke to a couple other electricians who were referred to me and their prices seemed to be a little steep to me. I again went back to Yelp to review who had originally reached out after my post. One company never got back to me and once again, Avocado Electric gave me an immediate response and price point and also availability the following day. Which was a Sunday mind you He was patient listening to me, ramble on the phone and try to give as much detail as I could and try to sound like I was very knowledgeable. He showed up on time. He spent quite a bit of time working on this project and did not try to charge me any more money for any reason. This price was more than fair.
