3.5/5 Went for bastille day and it was packed and super loud. Which would be ok, but it was really hard to get water or not get bumped into. When our group finally got a table we pulled an extra chair in to sit and one of the waiters was pushing my back off of it to move. It would have sufficed to say nicely if we could move the chair. The bouncer was also brusque and not welcoming which didn't help. Wine was alright, had the sparkling gamay but nothing special and the glass felt a bit cheap. Overall will not be back but maybe the experience is better on a different weekday.

Girls night out! THIS WAS SO GOOD. Got their sf restaurant week dishes and some of their signature ones too. Everything was so fresh and bright and exquisite. Favs were the duck confit (soo tender) and escargot. Also first time trying wine flights! Ended with golden goose shots Shoutout Frank our server for making this such a fun night!

As a wine bar Amelie is perfectly serviceable. While the ambiance isn't particularly to my linking, the wine selection is good, and the wine flights are well priced. Unfortunately, I also happened to order the food. The food was all mediocre at best, but mostly bad. Overcooked, oily, and confused is the best way I'd describe the dishes. Confused is also how I'd describe the service. Incredibly slow, and I had to flag down the waiter 4 times before being able to get our check.

Came here for happy hour with friends and had a great experience! They do an early happy hour on weekends (starting at 2pm), and the happy hour menu prices were great for both food and wine flights. And every dish we ordered was delicious! Off of the happy hour menu, we got the crispy artichokes, goat cheese, flatbread of the day (butternut squash), and 2 orders of croquetas. We also ordered brussel sprouts and escargot. Everything was a hit! Service was wonderful as well. The people we interacted with were French (so it seems like a great place to practice speaking French if you're so inclined). We sat outside along the street, so even that was reminiscent of a French cafe. Lovely experience all around and I wouldn't hesitate to come back!

We came here for happy hour on a Monday evening and we were one of the only customers in a nearly empty restaurant, so service was pretty efficient. We almost had the entire staff catering exclusively to us. I'd say the restaurant kind of feels like a cross between a bistro bar and a 50s restaurant with dim lighting. Once we took a look at the menu, of course we had to get a wine flight. Between 2 of the $13 wine flights, we ordered a Melon de Bourgogne, Merlot, Gamay, and then we were recommended a Rose Grenache, and an an orange wine, which was interesting. $ 7 Chicken Liver Mousse: okay! It was topped with chives, served with cornichons. $10 Jamon Serrano Croquetas: good! definitely fresh, because it came piping hot. I had to cut it in half and let it steam for a few minutes. $19 Octopus Carpaccio - pickled capers and pickled peppers, pomegranate: great! very tangy taste, get it if you like sour flavors $29 Duck Leg Confit - Grimaud farm duck leg with gratin dauphinois, salad, duck jus: excellent! crispy skin on duck leg with green salad and radishes helped lighten it up. When we got our bill, it came tucked inside of a French paperback, which I thought was a cute touch. We got full from happy hour, though two items were not from the happy hour menu. I give Amelie a 9.2/10

First time, but not the last. Nice place where you can bring friends, talk with the staff, and have a nice time. I came with friends for happy hour. Just the right amount of drinks and food. We got the fried artichoke bites (yummy), happy hour flatbread (which I assume changes depending on day/week/whatever the chef feels like making) and coquettes (not my favorite). I missed ordering the wine flight and the charcuterie board, which looked yummy. As other reviews mentioned, the lighting is a bit dark. If you sit at the bar or closer to the door, the lights aren't as dim as the back. Otherwise everyone is friendly and it felt like this was the neighborhood wine bar. Looking forward to going back again.

Such a fun vibe for a girls wine night or a night out when they have a DJ! They have a fantastic martini. Their wine flight is so yummy, along with their elote and crudo! Love the staff there too.

One of my favorite wine bar spots! Their food was good and they also have wine flights on the menu with different variations if you're not sure what to get. It does get super loud so it's more of a bar vibe than a casual spot. It also gets bus so if you're in a big group, I would recommend giving a call. The staff were friendly with the wine recommendations!

extremely cute happy hour can't wait to come again. vibes inside are so chill and artsy. loved the booths in the back. we sat up in the front on the movie theater seats. We did the wine flight and it was so fun to choose our own wines. I didn't know what was best so asked our servers recommendations. It was a beautiful day for happy hour with a friend and as the sun went down they had live musicians. it was so vibey.

Oh so lovely wine bar. It has a dim romantic feel with outdoor seating too. I came for a girls night with good white wine and delicious appetizers. I recommend the beef carpaccio. It was the star of the night.

Amelie is the perfect place to catch up with your girlfriends or enjoy date night with your partner. They had an excellent selection of wines and several flight options. Also the shareable dishes were delicious! We loved the orange wine flight, beef carpaccio, bone marrow, burrata, ravioli, and mushroom flatbread!

I visited recently as I had a $15 in-Kind (reservation app) discount & every time that I've passed this place, it looked like a fun Euro-party was going on. I made reservations for a Friday at 5:30PM to catch the tail end of Happy Hour & to hear the DJ that starts at 7PM. It was VERY loud inside so we opted to sit outside. Several of the happy hour menu items were not available so we had the artichoke (the only HH item we had) which was (3.5/5), Amelie salad (4/5), pan con tomate (2.5/5) but I didn't really care for it, beef carpaccio (4/5), champignon flats (4/5) & truffle potatoes (3/5) as I couldn't detect any truffle. I really wanted beef tartare but it's not on the menu anymore. We opted for cocktails instead of wine & I had the Saint German 75 & my friend had the white Negroni. Drinks were pretty good. The loud music made the restaurants fun but good luck trying to have a conversation. It's more of a fun party place & lounge. Overall 3.5.

Cute French wine bar with an amazing happy hour deal! Loved the daily flatbread which had a good portion size and the croquetas. Also really enjoyed the happy hour wine flight. You can choose 3 wines from a couple preset categories for a solid price. I would encourage making a reservation since happy hour does got a bit busy. Overall a good spot for post work drinks, date night, or hanging with friends!

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE…read more My friends and I came here to celebrate my boyfriend's little sister's 25th birthday around 12:40 a.m. on 8/1/26, and the night was ruined within minutes. Our first stop was the upstairs restroom by the stairs. The bar was busy, but the first floor wasn't overcrowded. To give some context, the restroom is located right next to the staircase. I was waiting in line, and my boyfriend's little sister was standing only a few feet away from me. The stairs were not blocked. A man suddenly walked up to her and immediately screamed in her face, "You need to move. You can't block the stairs." She stepped over. Instead of leaving it at that, he got even closer to her face and yelled, "YOU NEED TO MOVE UP OR DOWN." Like most people would, she defended herself after having a stranger scream inches from her face. She responded, "Okay then go. I'm not blocking you." He continued hovering over her, repeatedly shouting, "UP OR DOWN." She replied, "Stop telling me to move. You move!" That's when he yelled, "THIS IS MY PLACE. GTFO," grabbed her aggressively by the arm, and forcibly dragged her out. This all happened within about 10 minutes of us arriving. The man was wearing a fitted hat with a black tee. Had a tatted colored sleeve with some green. I'm not sure if he was the owner or the manager, but I've never seen someone with such a short temper treat a customer this way. If there had been a misunderstanding, all he had to do was calmly identify himself as staff and explain what he needed. Instead, he escalated the situation from the very beginning by screaming in her face and then physically removing her after she responded to being yelled at. No man should put his hands on a woman with that kind of force, especially when she was not being physically aggressive or threatening anyone. She never touched him. She only defended herself verbally after being screamed at. As a result, she was left with visible marks on her arm. This was completely unprofessional and unacceptable. No customer should be treated this way. We came to celebrate a birthday, and instead watched someone abuse their authority and turn a simple misunderstanding into a physical confrontation. I hope management takes this seriously because no one should have to worry about being manhandled over something that could have been resolved with a calm conversation.

I politely asked if they had the ingredients to make an Aperol Spritz since I noticed several spritz options on the menu. Instead of simply saying no, she rolled her eyes, grabbed a menu, handed it to me roughly, and said, "Order something that's actually on our menu." She then immediately walked away to help other customers and never returned to acknowledge me again. I was genuinely confused by the interaction because I didn't feel my question was unreasonable, especially at a cocktail bar with multiple spritzes listed on the menu. I've never had a bartender respond that way to a simple drink inquiry.... Thankfully, another bartender (she was the Asian one) later noticed I hadn't been helped. She was very friendly, attentive, and made my drink without any issues. Had it not been for her, I likely would have left immediately. Unfortunately, the first bartender's behavior made the atmosphere feel awkward and unwelcoming. I finished my one drink and left shortly afterward because I no longer felt comfortable staying. I understand bars get busy, but basic courtesy goes a long way. The contrast between the two bartenders' service was striking. I hope management takes customer service seriously because no guest should feel dismissed or mocked for asking a simple question about a drink.
