It seems shoe repair shops are hard to find around here. I looked high and low when I just happened upon this shop on my way...somewhere. I dropped off a pair of snakeskin stiletto sandals (which he complimented) and a pair of simple black oxfords with the intent to have new heels added to both. I paid in advance, returned on the date he offered (which was 3 days if I recall correctly) and the work was done. The new heels are sturdy and strong. They only accept cash. The shoe repair person tried really hard to get me to use the atm up the street. I don't think so; not even in broad daylight. They need to place a sign on their door "cash only". read more

Worst shoe repair shop ever. I asked the guy how much to fix my heels and he responded "lunch." I wasn't going to buy him lunch. I just wanted my shoes to be fixed. I left them after he quoted me around $18 for the repair. I went back a week later to pick up my shoes and tried them on first. He did a crap job and the strap immediately came apart. He stitched them so poorly and actually ruined them. I said too bad and gathered my stuff. I didn't go back. He's a jerk and overcharges. DON'T GO HERE read more

I paid $59.00 cash ( because that is how the owner said he does business) for a shoe lift and rocker for my husbands work boot.. The guy did it wrong and wanted $ 89.00 more dollars to redo it! when I took the shoe in in the first place he quoted $41.00 . He spoke with my husband on the phone and then he quoted the $59.00. My husband had not seen or worn it because he had been out of town. He took it back today and the guy said he would fix it for $89.00. I am going to file a complaint with BBB!!! I have to mark a star, but I didn't want to, in fact if I could grade this place's customer service it would be a negative -5 five! One of the worst places I've ever attempted to do business with. The owner is one of the rudest person I've ever dealt with. He displayed a dismissive attitude towards me from the get go. I stopped by at his shop to get an estimated to fix my high heels. He quoted a number that seemed to be a little high to me. And like Ang G. posted on her review, the guy asked for cash in advanced. I told him I had no cash, only card. To which he replied: "Well there's an ATM machine, down the road. Go get the cash and come back". I told him I was on my way to work and could not get him cash. That seemed to annoyed him ever more because the conversation went down the drain from then on. It seems this man thinks it is okay to demand payment in advance from people who has never done business with him before. Since I was running late for work. I told him I was going to think about it and left. Since this is the only place that fixes shoes on my way to work. I stopped by again a few days later. This time I got the cash with me. Well, surprise, surprise the guy not only went up on the price! But he starting running his mouth on me too. Telling me thinks like: " I was giving you a deal before and you didn't take, now it is going to be more" While this was unfolding, a man got inside the shop, immediately owner dropped everything to help him and left me hanging. Once he took care of the guy he came back to me. Then another guy got in there. Again, owner left me hanging and starting taking care of the new guy. Needless to say I left very disappointed. I've never posted a review before in my life and I certainly hope this will be the last. I have no time for this. I should be able to shop around to look for service and price without being harassed and mistreated. So, my heels aren't fixed yet. But I don't care if I have to go out of my way to find another shop. It'll be worth it. read more

I took my boots in for heel repairs on Tues and picked them up on Thursday because a friend told me about this repair shop. The boots look great and the repair was reasonably priced. And the boots had been polished and shined. Very pleased with everything and owner was very pleasant to deal with. He is a one man shop by the looks of things so I would suggest calling ahead to make sure he is available for drop off or pick up. read more

I drove by and dropped off my shoe to support local business. The guy said it would take at least half an hour so I said OK. I returned about an hour later around 2 PM to find a sign in the door saying will return at 4 PM. I was just passing through from Boston to California and now I have to wait for two hours to pick up my shoe that is sitting in the window. I asked the neighboring business for some water for my dog and they said the guy seems to make up his own hours coming and going as he pleases. Not a good impression for local business read more
