I found this place on yelp and gave it a try because I needed somewhere closer to home, rather than the dry cleaner I was using in all the way up in the heights. I was headed there before heading to my seamstress, and I decided to give their seamstress Rosa a try instead and save my self a trip. My dry cleaning was easy and quick. The tailoring was the most amazing though. I had a pair of pants that I need some complicated sewing done on, and Rosa made them look amazing! She also repaired a dress I didn't think was fixable. I was so impressed by the quality of her work and the pricing was so reasonable. Everyone who works here seems really nice and I appreciate how quick it had been the two times I've been dropping off and picking up, because I'm always in a hurry. I was visiting Albuquerque with my girlfriend and I needed a shirt dry cleaned and pressed for an event the next day. I did a yelp search of all the cleaners and came across Granbury Cleaners and all of the good reviews. This place seemed like the only cleaners capable of providing the short notice cleaning I desperately needed and I was not let down. I showed up close to 3pm and explained the situation and she was very accommodating and made sure it would be ready for me by 2pm the next day. She was very friendly and attentive and I highly recommend her services. I only wish she was conducting business in Los Angeles because I have a feeling she is one of those business owners that remembers her customers and not only views them as customers, but as friends and family. After finally deciding Dryel just wasn't doing it, I had to find a dry cleaner. I chose this one near Nob Hill because it did not have any negative reviews. It took me two weeks to remember to pick up my stuff. They remembered my face after only one visit, and said, "You had two pairs of pants, right?" You always hear about the lack of customer service. These people really care. Of course, I went back. On my 20 year old silk blouse, they told me, we had to clean it twice to get the sweat stains out, but we didn't charge you. They don't cost any more. They know all of their regular customers by name. I will never go anywhere else because I don't have to. Give them a try. read more

I needed to find a dry cleaner's with great reviews to clean my wedding dress, and after looking at ratings on Yelp, I made my decision. As far as the cleaning, they did an excellent job, and the dress looks brand new and like it was never worn. The hem had a lot of dark-colored dirt on it when I brought it in, and the stains are now completely gone and the delicate fabric doesn't look frayed in the least. For timeliness, it did take a week longer than I was originally told, but that wasn't a big deal for me (4 weeks in all). Luckily, I did call ahead on the expected pick-up date and they told me it wasn't ready, and asked if I could wait one more week. There also seemed to be a little confusion about whether I wanted the dress preserved (I didn't), but we cleared that up on the phone call. Finally, the price of the cleaning wasn't cheap ($172 with tax), but I was expecting that for something as fragile and multi-layered as a wedding dress. I would take a precious garment back after this experience, just allowing plenty of time to get it done. read more

This is a great place for dry cleaning. I have a long mostly white dress that had a lot of dark stains on the bottom of the dress where it sometimes touched the ground. I asked them to remove the stains and I was kind of in a time crunch and they removed the stains perfectly, I can't even tell there where any stains at all and they were able to get this finished in just a few days. I would definitely recommend this place! read more

I brought in a few shirts to get cleaned that I've had for over a year and I've washed them myself several times with no issues - you would think that by taking it to "professionals" they would be o.k. When I picked them up, half of one of the shirts was completely faded (see photos), it was covered in thread pulls (see photo - this was all over the shirt), and the fabric felt rough like it had been starched (which I didn't ask for). It's supposed to be a dark blue but parts are almost totally white. Other shirts that were cleaned as part of this group were covered in tiny flakes of paper/dirt that I had to spend some time removing (lint roller wouldn't remove the stuff) and several shirts are now covered in pills (that were not there prior to Granbury "cleaning" them). When I went back to ask the shop owner what happened to the faded shirt, she blamed the manufacturer, she accused me of bringing in a shirt that was already damaged to scam money out of her, she said it was b/c the shirt was old... everything but "I'm sorry". She said "we washed it according to the tag - in cold water"... first, I took it to be laundered, not washed; second, if that was the reason then why was only half of it faded (and having washed it several times myself prior to this, the dye wouldn't fade all of a sudden unless they did something to make it fade). After arguing for 15 minutes she agreed to only partially refund what I had paid them to "clean" my clothes, which is not even close to the cost of the shirts she ruined, still never saying "sorry". As an interesting side note, I also had some pants being cleaned that I took in separately before the shirt issue, and she told us it would take a week before they were ready. After this issue with my shirts I told her I wanted my pants back b/c I didn't trust them, but I was told she couldn't find them and to come back in the morning... the next morning when we went to pick them up they had miraculously been cleaned a full week earlier than we were told and of course they wanted their money for them. But wait, I thought it would take a week to clean... oh, not when you want them back before they can get your money. I understand that mistakes happen, but sorry goes a lot farther than accusing your customer of trying to cheat you. BEWARE - they do not take responsibility for their mistakes. There are much cleaner, more reputable dry cleaners in town that we will be using from now on. I would give 0 stars if possible. read more

I needed to get my husband's suit and a few other items dry cleaned as quickly as possible, since we were leaving town for a wedding the next morning. I called Granbury Cleaners, asking if they did same day cleaning. The owner promised everything would be ready by 4:30, if I could come and drop the clothes off within the hour (by 9am). I rushed over to their location (about a 25 min drive) a few min before 9, and was greeted by the staff. The owner was friendly, assured me that they were the best in town and not to worry. She kept her promise. Everything was clean, pressed and ready for pickup right on time. Definitely worth the extra drive time for this level of service. I will be returning. read more

Absolutely awful. Stay far, far away. My experience here was surreal. I have never experienced such bad service. First I took three button down shirts to be washed and pressed. Got them back and the ironing on two was sub-par (the collar had a weird crease, in the front), but that wasn't the worst. The worst was that my black shirt had been ironed on too hot a setting: instead of the jet black, it was faded to grey in many areas. I called to let them know, and they told me to bring it back in, and they would dry clean it - that often fixes the problem. I brought it back in, together with two others. I went to pick them up and ...well, it was terrible. First of all, the black shirt they were meant to be fixing, was worse. Then my white shirt was covered in dirt and had new stains on it. My blue shirt had a pulled thread right in the front which ruined the shirt. The shirts were not even properly ironed and were stretched into odd shapes. But that is not where it ends. The person working the front counter called up the manager. The manager denied there was a problem, then told me I had come in at the wrong time, then doubted the cost of my two-month-old shirts, blamed me for putting the marks on them, claimed to have washed the shirts, then claimed to have dry cleaned them. Her story kept changing, had little connection to truth and there was absolutely no interest in resolving the problem. She pretended to have spoken to me when I dropped the shirts off, even though she hadn't, I had spoken to a different person. She even started blaming the person who is about to take over the business! I've now had almost $500 of clothing ruined by this place. All I can say is stay away. Stay far far away from this place. If you have something that is valuable enough to take to a cleaners, at the very least I trust them to make it right if they make a mistake. Take your clothes anywhere else. The woman who, I think runs the shop, warmly greeted us. We had 12..yes 12, items that we needed by Saturday morning. They took our items and even suggested they could be ready same day. I brought a jacket in to get buttons sewn on and have it cleaned. Aside from having my jacket for a week, it was ready a day late and it wasn't even ready when I picked it up. I got charged for a cleaning that never happened. There is still dog hair and small spots on the jacket that were the reason I took it in. I know it wasn't cleaned because they are not stains and easily came off when I cleaned it myself. When I asked about it they told me there was nothing they could do, but leave it there and run it through the cleaner again and I don't have time for that because I'm leaving town. No offer for any kind of reimbursement or admitting that it wasn't cleaned, just brushed off. One can only hope the buttons actually stay on. read more

I finally found my dry cleaners here in Albuquerque! I always get a good feeling when I find a business and I'm like "Yep, this is it. This is my nail salon/my pizza joint/my hair cutting place." And that's how I felt about Granbury. I have this alternative down white King size comforter along with two dogs. They don't all go well together but it's a risk I'm willing to take. Recently my dogs were playing a little hard where one started bleeding. Then decided he could go for nap time on the bed while we were gone. Needless to say, my comforter needed extra elbow grease and I haven't been super pleased with the other dry cleaners in the area. They seemed to be over priced for the quality I was getting back. I finally went to Granbury and the price was GREAT and I can tell they spent a GOOD time on it! I was beyond pleased! And Nora is so nice! I trusted them to get my rehearsal dinner dress, as well as my wedding after party dress, clean and crisp and as white as possible. The owners were friendly and got my garments done early I will go back and the prices are reasonable. They even went the extra mile by adding starch to the seat area of one of my garments, I was told that since that area underwent more stress, the starch would help extend the life. On a more critical note the parking lot needs to be repaired, it's very old although I'm sure it's a landlord issue. I also think they would do better in a newer building with more parking spaces, their work is good and I have no doubt would keep all their current customers. Final note: The Yelp review says they are open at 7 on Saturday this is incorrect, they open at 9 am. May need to check with the dry cleaner to be sure ;-) Thanks again great job!!! read more
