BEWARE! This shop created a big a** nightmare for my vehicle. It started out as a simple leaking turbo engine fix, but he installed a USED Turbo. Every mechanic knows that a used turbo SHOULD NOT be installed, only new. no receipt or invoice on all the work he did. He did a half a** Job in placing my car back together, after I refused to pay an extra $400 on top of the $800 job. After I paid, my vehicle does not drive the same. The work he did resulted in a faulty connection with the oil line and coolant line, making my car not driveable. My car began smoking after he made a huge mess without cleaning it up. He will repeatedly attempt to get every dime out of customers, with no valid explanation. I informed him that I will be seeking litigation and went to his shop to ask for compensation for all he has done and his wife and him began yelling and saying that is was MY fault that I didn't want him to fix the "hoses that were leaking", which does not relate to the turbo, he claims that someone else messed up the turbo when he has been the only mechanic to ever work on my vehicle. BIG LIAR. Overall, His shop says it all, dirty, a hazard, and lost parts all over the place. Please do your research first, his 40 years of being a mechanic doesn't make up for all the terrible work he does, not to mention very defensive when you do not agree with him. read more

I moved from Las Vegas to OKC in January 2021. After 30 years in Vegas, it's hard having to find a good honest mechanic to entrust your car to. I asked my brother who he recommended, that wasn't a dealership, and he recommended An Thanh's auto service. My brother has never recommended anything bad, and he definitely wasn't wrong on this one either. Even out of the 2 mechanics I trusted in all of Las Vegas, I don't think I've met a more honest sweet and humble person. And that's aside from the fact this is an awesome auto shop. I've been taking my car almost two years now, and he's the only place I'll take my car to, save one time when I had to go to a dealership to have some safety software updated. An Thanh, I feel, has never overcharged me or recommended anything my car didn't need. And if I thought something was up with my car, I would take it in to get checked out, and if he felt it was something that didn't need to be addressed right away and just keep an eye on it, he would tell me so. If the brakes were OK when I thought something was up, he would tell me. If something with a clicking I heard coming from my front end was OK for the time being and to just keep an eye on it, he would tell me. And you know what? He was right. Anything that I made note of to keep an eye on after he told me what he thought, was spot on when it came to time to fix it later. And if something was up with the car that he noticed and I hadn't, he would take the time to me and he would show me what he was talking about and explain the issue. An Thanh always spelled out exactly what he was going to do and how much it would cost me, and if any additional cost was incurred, like having to special order parts due to auto supply shortages across the country, he would immediately call me and let me know. And knowing my whacky work schedule in my line of legal work, An Thanh always worked to fit me in, especially on the weekends when I'm free for the most part. And regarding any negative reviews that may be on here, I would say this: weigh those against An Thanh's 40+ years in business. In my experience, you don't stay in business that long without a good track record, especially in as competitive an industry as auto repair and when weighing competition for business between big auto dealerships against small businesses like this. Go take a look at the reviews on google. I would say that's a much better indication of An Thanh's quality than the two other negative reviews here. read more

If I could give no stars I would! He was horrible ripped me out of $600 saying it was a fuel pump when it was not. Then when I got my car I still was experiencing it not starting after getting gas. I took it back up there the same day to let him know the problem had not been fixed. He literally tried to blame me that he said he thought it was fuel pump and that if it wasn't that I would be fine with that.....I'm a woman I felt like he tried to take advantage of me. I have never in all my years have a mechanic try and say that I should be ok giving money away when your car still has not been fixed. He also acts very confused like he doesn't know one customer from another. He is dishonest, greedy and his communication is horrible. Unacceptable do not ever go there and I will never deal with him again. read more

Its a shame that I actually have to give a star, because he doesn't deserve any rating. He is a cheapskate, a swindler and cares about nothing but money. Charged me $160 for an oil change and freon. I took my car back and said it wasn't blowing cold. He says maybe I have a leak. Took it to the auto place directly across Penn, and not only was the oil change cheaper, they told me my filters hadn't been changed and that freon was never put in my car. Went back to confront An-Thanh and he immediately got irate. Clearly because he knew he was wrong. DO NOT take your vehicle to this place unless you'd like to be lied to and robbed of at least $100. read more
