My mom hired this event planner for a very important family event, and unfortunately, it was one of the most stressful experiences we've had. Communication was poor throughout the planning process, and she arrived late on the day of the event. There were multiple items that my mom paid for that were either missing or incomplete. The floral arrangements were insufficient, and several agreed upon decorations and details were never provided. The communication was great until the payment was sent and then we hardly heard from her. The biggest issue was the pizza catering. My mom paid over $1,000 for a catered pizza service, but during the party the event planner called at 6pm to say the pizza man was not coming. As of today, despite multiple attempts to resolve the matter, no refund has been received. All of the beautiful decor was placed as promised she even attempted to make it work the night before with her team, but our venue wasn't able to fully provide the room. Ana goes above and beyond to really try to make it work as fast as possible she does really great at communicating the day of your event and the night before she makes you feel special. Beware: Contract not fully honored. We chose Ana for our daughter's Quinceañera because she was the only decorator we found who used real flowers, and the work she had posted was absolutely beautiful. In the beginning, she was kind, professional, and genuinely excited about our event, and we loved the vision she had for us. The night of the event, the venue looked beautiful. However, several of the items included in our contract that we paid for were missing. While the event still looked beautiful, it would have looked even better with everything that was promised and paid for. Unfortunately, the planning experience did not meet our expectations. Communication became increasingly difficult as the event approached. Many of our messages were left on read or went unanswered, and there were times when our calls were not returned. Trying to finalize important details without clear communication made what should have been an exciting time unnecessarily stressful. There were also several issues with the final setup. Some of the items we paid for were missing. The dance floor vinyl had the wrong date, which Ana corrected on the spot, but the digital displays on the venue's TV screens showed an entirely different wrong date throughout the event. We also paid for a bubble machine, but when the venue did not allow its use, we requested a refund. Although Ana told us the refund would be issued, as of the date of this review, we are still waiting. Since then, our calls and messages have gone unanswered, which has been very disappointing. We understand that decorators often juggle multiple events and that mistakes can happen. However, when clients are investing a significant amount of money into such an important milestone, communication, attention to detail, and honoring what is included in a contract are just as important as creating a beautiful event. Once the celebration began, we chose not to focus on these issues because it was our daughter's night, and we wanted her to enjoy every moment. Thankfully, she had a beautiful Quinceañera surrounded by family and friends, and that is what we will remember most. Ana is clearly talented, and her floral work is beautiful. However, based on our overall experience--including the communication issues, missing contracted items, incorrect event details, the outstanding refund, and the lack of follow-up--we cannot recommend a higher rating. If the outstanding refund is not resolved, our next step will be to pursue the matter through Small Claims Court. Brides Beware: My Experience with Ana Flores ANNA- You did not pay $1900 out of the kindness of your heart to the photographer. You provided me the set price, I paid. You did not pay the photographer as promised and you booked him last minute without even paying him. You forgot to initially book one and begged him to assist. I PAID THE PRICE YOU AGREED UPON! I booked Ana Flores for my wedding at a venue she regularly works at, assuming that meant everything would go smoothly. Unfortunately, my experience was the complete opposite -- full of stress, unresponsiveness, poor quality, and broken promises. Her package originally included items I didn't need, like chairs, so we negotiated replacements for those. Even with that, she didn't deliver on several promised items. In the days leading up to my event, communication with her completely broke down. She stopped responding to calls and messages altogether. I started hearing from other brides that she had flaked on them too, leaving them stranded on their wedding day and only offering refunds afterward -- as if that helps when your event is already happening. Less than 24 hours before my wedding, she finally replied saying she was "in an area with no reception." She assured me everything was ready -- the photographer, videographer, décor, etc. She promised to arrive early for setup. That didn't happen. She showed up about an hour before guests arrived, unprepared and disorganized. If it weren't for my family stepping in to help set up my dessert table, nothing would've been done in time. Even the restaurant staff helped her out of kindness. She didn't even bring scissors. The flowers had bugs and were not fresh. My bouquet -- which she actually forgot to make until I reminded her -- looked thrown together from leftover roses wrapped in ribbon. The flowers were half-rotten. She brought fewer arrangements than promised, and the linens were dirty and the wrong size for the tables. She used oversized charger plates that didn't fit, even though she's done many events at this same venue and should know better. The only thing she got right was the color scheme. But she never showed me a sample setup, never confirmed details, and never shared a clear plan -- everything seemed improvised last minute. While my guests had a great time (thankfully they didn't know what went wrong behind the scenes), I knew how many corners were cut. It's extremely frustrating when you pay someone expecting professionalism and reliability, and instead get excuses and chaos. After the event, I tried to approach her calmly with feedback. She admitted she fell short on the bouquet and said she'd offer a refund, but I told her not to worry -- maybe next time she could make it up to me on another event. She shared a story about being a single mom with a sick mother, so I genuinely felt bad and even wrote her a kind review. I have since deleted that review after what happened next. I had paid Ana directly for the photographer and videographer, trusting she'd handle the payment. She kept telling me it would take 30 days to receive photos and videos, even though the studio told me it's usually 10-14 days. Weeks passed and I got no updates. When I finally contacted the studio, the manager nervously admitted that Ana had hired them last minute and never paid them for my wedding. He said he'd been afraid to respond because his business was at risk. When I confronted Ana and included him on the call, she actually answered and confirmed she had indeed not paid him. I was shocked. After that, she went back to ignoring my messages completely. This isn't just poor service -- it's dishonest and unethical. Brides spend months planning and saving for their special day, and to have someone like Ana treat it with such carelessness is beyond disappointing. I was also quoted $200 for a cart that the vendor later revealed actually cost only $50. After this experience, I expressed my concerns and asked that the second event be handled according to our agreement. However, I received virtually no communication for weeks leading up to the event. The first time she finally contacted me was the day before the event, when it was far too late to properly plan or make necessary adjustments. At that point, I politely requested a refund so we could part ways professionally. She agreed to refund me, but weeks later I am still chasing my money. I have had to repeatedly call and message her with little to no response. She eventually refunded only about one-third of the amount owed and then disappeared again. Throughout this process, there has been a constant stream of excuses and conflicting stories--ranging from family emergencies to being too busy with other events or having no service. Yet when I called from a different phone number, she answered immediately. She simply chooses not to respond to me. What is most concerning is that after reading Yelp reviews, I discovered that many other clients and vendors have reported similar experiences involving poor communication, unpaid vendors, broken promises, and refund issues. Ana came to me highly recommended by my aunt-in-law and she did not disappoint. Ana did the drapery with fairy lights and florals for my tables. She set up my table centerpieces. I was also very clear that I was willing to pay whatever it took to bring that vision to life. The wedding sign was grammatically incorrect and completely different from what I requested, which was supposed to be full of florals and surrounded by candles. Overall, the décor fell far below the standard and level of quality that was promised to me throughout the planning process. What hurts the most is that it has become upsetting to look back on my own wedding photos. Every time I see the décor, I feel extremely sad because it is a constant reminder of how my vision was not honored on a day that meant everything to me. After the wedding, I reached out to express how heartbroken I was. Instead of taking accountability, Ana immediately became defensive. She then offered a $1,000 refund by October 21, but after that conversation, she completely stopped responding. After Ana received a court order to provide money owed to me she has yet to fulfill that requirement. She will either respond with another excuse that her mom has cancer, she is in the hospital, her kids are in the hospital, etc. or just not respond to me at all for weeks/ months then out of the blue text me and say "hey" with no other context. Then other times asking to do monthly payments then never falls through, then other times promises that will prove payment on a specific date, date comes and nothing. Back in November Ana texted me stating her mother is sick with cancer and she cannot pay me until February 5th. Well, February 5th came, and again Ana is unresponsive and nothing. This has been the most frustrating thing to deal with. And I cannot believe she is still advertising her services to plan and decorate events, still working. But then says she has no money. I cannot believe people are still using her services after seeing all these poor reviews. Very deceiving and has a way to make people feel bad for her with her lies. (Rest of review attached as photos, please continue, you're seriously going to want to read this, I tried shortening it but it left out so many details so I had to find a way to let y'all know how it really went) To be honest and fair, we used Ana for my brothers wedding back a few years ago, and she did do a fine job with it, but she has clearly taken a 180 degree turn for the worse (Btw I also figured out she still owes him $395) We thought of her to use for my engagement and figured since we used her in the past, it would be a delightful, easy, and stress free experience, but we had the complete opposite It first started with us reaching out to her, she said to pay her in cash right away for a 20% discount, using scare tactics like "I have 2 other people trying to book that day and if you don't put down a deposit and pay within 24 hours we will not be able host your event," (newsflash, she was already booked for that day) should've seen this miles away, but we had our guard down, drove 4 hours in a single day and payed her cash. Lesson #1 - Never pay a vendor in full upfront, especially in cash. Right when we paid, she said she would come to the house in a few days, and she did albeit a few hours late by sending us a picture "stuck" in traffic, pretty sure she's used that excuse before, but whatever being 3 hours late isn't a big deal, especially when I am in school and can't take off for 8 hours just to see a pot of flowers. She also sent home with us about 70 swatches of fabric, we asked why? She said you can pick any one of these for the runners on our tables. Wow, we thought we hit the lottery, we found the perfect color for our event that would flow perfectly with the theme. So she got to the house and we told her about the fabric and color that we wanted for the table runners, she agreed saying its going to look amazing with what we were aiming for. She then made endless promises, "I'll put the dessert table under your gazebo" "I will have hanging lights on your trees" "I will have a welcome sign" "We will have bride and groom chairs" "hanging greenery from the canopy" "I will make sure this event is perfect and stress free" "I will be there for the event and help set up" "ill bring bride and groom chairs" "Im going to bring you a bridal bouquet" "Ill bring coffee mugs so we dont need to use styrofoam" shocker, all of these were lies. Lesson #2 - If its not in writing it doesn't exist. Don't rely on verbal promises, especially with Ana, have everything on paper. To be fair, these were all false promises and not included in our contract, so I gave her the benefit of the doubt and figured she would abide by the contract, once again I was amazingly proved wrong. Leading up to the event, Ana would leave us on read, not respond to our phone calls or texts, and send every excuse imaginable: at a wedding, at a graduation, busy weekend, on vacation with the family, my LAPTOP IS DYING (I wish I was making this one up, I have the picture for proof) but rest assured she would always say "ladies just trust in me, it's going to be perfect" it took her weeks to make a layout which my 6 year old nephew could have drawn on paper in 5 minutes, and the layout was not even like we agreed. It's fine, no big deal, she make mistakes, seemingly a lot of them. Day before the engagement, she posts on her instagram story our flowers, 8 pots of them. We were shocked. 8 pots of flowers for an engagement which we were expecting more, we texted with anxiety, but, she said she was going to make 4 more pots of flowers after coming to an agreement, but create them at our house the next day, we were scared, but still trusted her (if you haven't caught on to the theme by now, you might want to reread the story). She said her workers (or vendors tbh, I will get into this later) would come at 5PM to set up the tent the day before. They came, very late, but they were a very lovely family. I wish I had gotten the number of the family that came and set up the tent. Even though they didn't come at the time Ana had mentioned, they were sweet, really nice, we bought them all some In-n-out, gave them whatever they needed, and they did leave pretty late but once again were wonderful. And that is where the fun ended. By the way, they were only there for the tent and tables. Day of the event, we wanted everything to be setup by 4:30 since we had already paid our photographer from 5-8. So many different people showed up to the house. Like had to be many different vendors. Worst part about it? I was managing people coming in and out of the house. It was literally 4:30 and I am the one telling people where to park, where to go, etc. I was thinking to myself, "why am I doing all of this work?? Where is Ana??? If I could give this lady and her business zero stars I would. I normally don't leave reviews, but after what happened, I feel like I need to warn other people. We hired this event planner thinking she would make our special day stress-free and beautiful, but instead, it turned into one of the most frustrating experiences ever. From the beginning, she promised us so much -- a well-organized event, beautiful setup, the right menu, desserts and appetizers displayed nicely, and a party bus in great condition. Unfortunately, none of that actually happened. Once we paid her, her communication basically disappeared. Before money was exchanged, she would respond quickly, but afterwards, it was like pulling teeth to get answers. She constantly reassured us that everything would be perfect, but that couldn't have been further from the truth. On the actual day of the event, she didn't even show up. Instead of facing us and being accountable for her promises, she avoided the entire event altogether. That alone speaks volumes about her professionalism. The party bus we received was scratched up and looked nothing like what we were promised. The food was not what we had picked out in advance, which was extremely disappointing. We specifically paid for a dessert table and appetizers -- what we got was desserts left inside boxes and maybe ten pieces of cheese thrown onto a plate. That was it. It was embarrassing and nothing close to what we were promised or what we paid for. The worst part is that she never took accountability. No apology, no explanation, just avoidance. We paid her so much money for this, and she delivered the bare minimum, if that. It feels like she takes people's money, promises them the world, and then does whatever she wants instead of what was agreed upon. If you are considering hiring her, please save yourself the stress, the disappointment, and the wasted money. She does not deliver what she promises, and she has no problem disappearing when it matters most. This is ridiculous. $4,500 is not a lot of money compared to what I gave her. I gave her $10,000 when she asked for it SAME DAY. I wish I could go back in time and get a reputable decorator who I wouldn't have to track down to pay me back for failing at my wedding. What I remember about my wedding day: her lack of communication, her absence at my wedding, her last minute cancellations. The day of my wedding I was speechless with how beautiful everything turned out, especially the beautiful black velvet chairs she provided. Ana and her team were amazing for decorating my baby shower. They did it within an hour and half all the work done and i was happy seeing it that everything got done in just a small amount of time. Decorations , food and there was a lady that Ana have her stay with me during my babyshower assisting with food , cleaning up plates and restocking more beverages , she was wonderful and helpful person . Estoy profundamente molesta y decepcionada con tu falta de profesionalismo y el pésimo servicio que ofreciste en el evento de quince años de mi hija. Dijiste haber aprendido de tus errores del pasado, que estabas reconstruyendo tu negocio, que querías hacer las cosas bien... pero todo eso fueron solo palabras vacías. Mi evento claramente no fue prioridad para ti. No solo fallaste en cumplir lo prometido, sino que lo hiciste sin la menor consideración al esfuerzo, tiempo y dinero que mi familia invirtió para hacer realidad este día tan especial. A pesar de que te pedí, con anticipación y en varias ocasiones, que no me fallaras, decidiste tratar nuestro evento como uno más, sin la calidad, atención ni respeto que prometiste. Lo mínimo que esperaba era el cumplimiento de lo que pagué. Pero lo que entregaste fue un desastre: * Las carpas de 10x20 jamás llegaron. * Las sombrillas y los barriles nunca aparecieron. * Los postres que pagamos NO fueron entregados. * Los apetizers. * El pastel ni se parecía al de la prueba: otro diseño, otro sabor, otra calidad. * El arco de flores fue vergonzoso: un par de palos con unas flores colgando y cayéndose. * El backdrop de mi hija parecía improvisado y sin terminar, con tubos a la vista. * Solo 13 mesas tenían centros de mesa, muchos de ellos con flores muertas o marchitas. * Tus empleadas actuaron como si nos estuvieran haciendo un favor, con una actitud altanera y grosera. * Los bocadillos jamás se presentaron. * Eran cuatro meseros y solo había tres personas. * Y encima, tuviste el descaro de llamarme el mismo día del evento para pedirme que YO resolviera el problema de tus carpas. No había números de mesa; mi mamá tuvo que salir de emergencia a comprarlos a la tienda en pleno evento. Tampoco avia easels para exhibir las fotos y el sitting chart como se había acordado. Mi propia familia tuvo que levantar los platos de las mesas porque tus meseras estaban sentadas sin hacer su trabajo, y yo misma tuve que pedirles que empezaran a servir las sodas en las jarras que yo compré de mi propio bolsillo. Además, Sandra, la señora de las carpas, le dijo a mi coordinadora que tú le llamaste un día antes, a las 9:00 p.m., para pedirle que pusiera cuatro carpas, y ella tuvo que conseguirlas de última hora, pero solo encontró dos. Encima, las carpas se pusieron sin el peso necesario para prevenir accidentes--eso fue una irresponsabilidad tuya y un riesgo de seguridad. El propio venue me tuvo que prestar pesos para evitar que volaran. Zulma, la persona más déspota y grosera, le pidió a mi familia que ellos mismos llevaran el hielo y las sodas para mis invitados. Aparte, le dijo a mi coordinadora que tú siempre las mandas con pocas cosas y esperas que ellas hagan milagros. Eso es una vergüenza de tu parte. Te pido que hoy mismo me deposites el resto del dinero que falta. Llámale a tus clientes como me llamabas a mí para pedirme que te mandara dinero; para eso sí eres buena, hasta me decías que si te daba el pago ese mismo día me harías descuento. Dices que nos estimas, pero eso no se mostró en el evento de mi hija. Exijo el reembolso inmediato, de no recibir el reembolso en el plazo indicado, iniciaré acciones legales sin más advertencias. Tengo toda la documentación, pruebas y testigos que respaldan cada una de estas fallas y no dudaré en llevar esto hasta las últimas consecuencias. Nunca debí confiar en ti. Qué decepción tan grande. Mi hija está muy decepcionada. Ella soñó con este momento toda su vida, y tú lo arruinaste. Lo mínimo que merecía era respeto y un servicio digno en el día más importante de su vida, pero no solo fallaste en todo lo prometido, sino que además ese mismo día del evento tú estabas en otro evento, donde con orgullo subías videos en Instagram. ¿Por qué? ¿Porque el evento de mi hija no valía lo mismo que el otro? ¿Porque decidiste que el de ella era menos importante? No entiendo por qué te empeñas en aprovecharte de la gente que confía en ti. Me duele pensar que alguien a quien creí conocer y en quien deposité mi confianza haya sido tan negligente, irresponsable y deshonesta. Y te lo aclaro desde ahora: no trates de justificarte ni de dar tus falsas explicaciones, porque te conozco muy bien. Estoy cansada de excusas y de culpas a terceros. La única responsable aquí eres tú. Y apagar tus notificaciones y bloquearme no soluciona nada. Aún no me has depositado el resto del dinero que falta.
