Definitely you were late to the event. Definitely dirty linens . Whether the linens were provided by your vendor or not we should not have been having to use a centerpiece to cover up the filthy linens. Definitely not worth the value . And I didn't even mention the fact that you did the entire backdrop set up to the far right of the room where the kitchen staff was coming in and out with dishes and made it obstruct by the door. and YOU didn't even bother to center it. And when I mentioned why wasn't it centered IN THE ROOM because you were so late you had no way of correcting it in time before my guest arrived. and my daughter had some little crummy table to the right of that ham you called decorations. I recently hired Nari's Event Planning for my baby shower, and unfortunately, my experience fell far short of expectations. Normally, I wouldn't go out of my way to leave a review, but I feel compelled to share my experience to help others. Having worked with other event planners for countless past events, I'm used to a high level of professionalism, communication, and attention to detail. Sadly, that was not the case here. My event cost over $10K, with half of that going directly to Nari's fees, and I was also charged an additional $750 event planning fee--which I believe was not worth it. I expected Nari to handle full-scale planning (like other planners I've worked with, who've helped coordinate desserts, makeup, hair, etc.), but I ended up doing all of that myself. The event was at Locanda Capri in Brentwood, where the patio area is already beautifully decorated. Nari's responsibilities were limited to the backdrop, entrance sign, centerpieces, bar sign, and name tags. Unfortunately, these details were disappointing: * The entrance sign was painted blue with stickers attached, which felt cheap and far from custom. * The bar sign was a basic printout in a frame rather than the acrylic design I expected. * The name tags were just pieces of paper with guest names written in blue pen, which looked rushed and unpolished. Thankfully, I created my own baby shower games on Canva, as Nari suggested using generic Amazon templates, which didn't align with the custom feel I wanted for the event. Communication was also a major issue. In the past, event planners have run every detail by me, ensuring everything was carefully thought out. With Nari, every time I followed up, I received vague or unsure responses, leaving me feeling like the event wasn't a priority. Additionally, when I explained my budget concerns (having recently purchased a home), I hoped for some flexibility. Instead, I was met with a take-it-or-leave-it attitude. Other planners I've worked with have offered options at different price points, but I didn't feel accommodated here. Her reasoning for the price, was that her business model is all "in house". On the day of the event, I was asked for feedback on the decor as soon as I arrived. While I wasn't happy with what I saw, I didn't want to ruin my mood before the event even began. However, this restraint was later misinterpreted as me changing my feedback. In reality, I flew out for my Babymoon 2 days after my Baby Shower which ultimately led me to give her feedback upon my return. Overall, this experience was overpriced and underwhelming. Scammer! She charged me excessively for a party she put little to no effort into. I think she does this to black women. She didn't execute my idea at all, in any type of way. She refused to accept accountability. She didn't listen nor did she confirm she couldn't execute my idea. She kept saying "this is what I put into the package and you signed the contract." She's a joke. I made sure she felt every bit of my disappointment as soon as I seen that $20 setup. She wants to live a fabulous life scamming off the back of our hard work. One things she's going to do is over-talk you. She consistently interrupts you, and doesn't communicate properly after being paid. After she receives payment she ghost you. I clearly told her my expectations for the party and she didn't execute anything I requested. She created her own cheap party idea with my money. The main reason she can't execute is because she doesn't listen. She just talk, talk, and talk, and talk over you. If you look at every event she does it all looks exactly the same. The same kind of backdrop, the same setup. There's no creativity, and she doesn't change up the style for the customer. Just basic. She's not a visionary nor a good creative designer. I worked in creative designing for years and had visualized my event prior to contacting her. Yesterday she was quick to ridicule me instead of accepting where she went wrong at. She can get on here and respond if she wants to, she does that, I'll definitely hit them pockets up so she should tread very lightly with me. Matter of fact better not respond at all. The backdrop fell multiple times, the welcome sign and balloons fell. My guest were chasing my balloons through the park. So embarrassing. Her initial setup time was 10:30-11am. She arrived to the venue almost two hours before the time she was supposed to then started requesting I get there 30 minutes earlier than we agreed. She tried to setup while a church was in session saying she had another event to setup. I had to maintain my composure because it was my daughter's big day. When I arrived her kids were playing in the rented equipment, they left trash around the park (donuts, and coffee creamers) I had to clean because "I RENTED IT." She hadn't secured the items. It was very embarrassing that the guest had to constantly pick the ballon's and stand up. The tables were beat up. She reuses the props for different parties and charges you for customization she truly doesn't do, and, the customization is very minimal. If you order from her, don't buy a package, build your own. Build a package from scratch that way she doesn't scam you. I was very clear our initial conversation, extremely clear. She didn't execute and thought I would be happy. She's not a high expectation high deliver event planner. Go elsewhere if you're a visionary. She acts like it's her money being spent and not yours. Never again! Lesson learned. Again, if you're black don't hire her. Next, build your own package from scratch. See her in court if she tries me. read more

I've booked with them twice for events and referred them to family and friends. They really dedicate their time and effort to make sure you are satisfied. I was super grateful to them that they were able to work with me at such short notice. All I wanted was to give my daughter a magical first birthday and they worked all night to make her day just as beautiful. Nari & Ibrahim work with your budget, but I think they should be charging us way more. You'll definitely get your moneys worth and more!
