She's really great at guiding me through what works well together while also letting my creativity do the picking, and recently when she didn't have what I was looking for she offered to source them from the mart for me the next morning. What was delivered looked substantially different and was dominated by 10 bright pink tulips, completely changing the overall color balance and aesthetic of the design I selected. When I contacted the florist, Neli explained that tulips were present in the back of the original design. A few tulip buds are barely visible in the background of the website photo, but they are clearly not a dominant feature. In the delivered arrangement, they became one of the main visual elements. Instead of addressing the design mismatch, I received an itemized explanation of how expensive the flowers were and was told they "cannot afford to refund orders." Their own substitution policy says the style and theme will be preserved. In my experience, they were not. I'm attaching the website photo and the delivered arrangement so customers can judge for themselves. If you expect the arrangement you choose online to reasonably resemble what is delivered, I would look elsewhere. , , Update in response to the owner's reply: Neli, your reply completely misses the point. I didn't pay $285 for a hidden "treasure hunt" of expensive flowers buried under a wall of heavy, fully opened pink tulips that completely changed the design and color palette. If a same-day order requires such a significant change to the overall aesthetic of the arrangement, a professional florist should contact the customer first and ask for approval rather than simply making the substitution. And yes, your suggestion that I explore other florists is one piece of advice I will definitely follow. In a gross violation of my privacy, Starr wrote me a handwritten letter using my in-laws' address from their order. In her letter Starr claimed that she did not have my information due to me declining to share it and so she used my in-laws' payment information to find her way to me. Her letter was one full page, front and back, of defending herself and telling me stories of how she is a truly exemplary employee, even staying behind at the store extra late for another order. This letter did two things: 1) it reopened my wounds from feeling like I was unseen and unheard in one of my truest moments of vulnerability and 2) showed me that she still had no awareness of the pain she had caused since she did not apologize and instead told me stories of how she treated other people better than me. I then reached back out to the manager via Yelp to ask for a phone number and good time to talk to discuss something. They told me to just call the store number and stopped responding when I asked for a good time to be sure to speak with the right person. I decided not to pursue the matter because, honestly, it hurt like hell having to deal with this on top of my grief. It has now been 3 months since my father passed, since this all started, and I tried to let it go, but I decided to write this update. Albeit delayed, I think people should know the way this matter was handled -- vindictively with self-interest and an outright disregard for the reason why people need their service in the first place. So I stopped by during my lunch break. They were very busy. There was a elderly lady in the front and another lady in the back making arrangements and there was a lot of arrangements being made. I didn't know if I could get my questions answered in time but since I was there already, I decided to wait and ask. The older lady who's name was Joanne heard my question and showed me the ready arrangements in the cooler that I could pick out and take with me immediately. When I told her it's for Friday and wanted a custom arrangement but wanted some recommendations, she deferred me to the lady making the arrangements who turned out to be Nina. I felt a bit guilty because she seemed so busy making arrangements and I was only asking questions but Nina was very friendly and accommodating. She explained my options as far as having my arrangements wrapped or placed in a vase. I could ask for any color combination I wanted (within reason and pending availability) and any flower choice preference. If I didn't have any flower or color preference, I was given the option to set a budget and trust the florist. I thanked her for her time and went back to work. After thinking it over, I called Nina back after work. I asked her for pink and peonies because that's my wife's favorite flower. I didn't know what else to ask for so I gave her a budget and request a wrap in pink and silver color. Apparently, peonies are not that readily available and I was a bit confused because I've picked up peonies from Trader Joe's before and they didn't seem that rare. But I had already placed my order so I went with it. Friday came and when I went to pick up my bouquet after work, I was completely blown away with how big it was. She showed me the flowers and the peonies in my arrangement was so much more vibrant and at least twice as big as the ones I've picked up from Trader Joe's. Maybe there's different types of peonies but I'll never buy the ones from Trader Joe's again. What a difference. The colors were exactly what I asked for down to the wrap. It was so big I didn't know how/where to place it on my car and Nina was kind enough to send one of her staff to secure it for me in my vehicle. Great experience from star up finish. It was money well spent and worth ever penny. I'll definitely do it again. My wife absolutely loved them, more than any other flowers I've bought for her, and we even had to get a larger vase to fit the bouquet.

After demonstrating the audacity to inquire about baskets and differences between tiers, I was met with audible sighs and eye rolls that escalated into beratement of my ignorance. Despite my unforgivable transgression of inquiring about the basket diameter of the "Country Blooms" arrangement, I hung my head and meekly submitted my order. I called a couple days later to change the time of my pickup and was immediately screamed at, with the level of hostility normally demonstrated during international war: (verbatim) "do you KNOW how many customers we have? We have HUNDREDS! You're just going to have to wait in the pickup line!" I was completely stunned by this. Okay, congrats. Nina did not consider the radical alternative of asking my last name to clarify my order. This defies reason. It genuinely feels like Nina's Flowers is trying to repel new customers. After placing the order, I called the shop to confirm everything, and I was told the order was good to go. Nothing indicated that I had to pick up the flowers specifically within that selected time frame, nor did anyone explain that the shop would be closing before I could pick them up. When I arrived at the shop on Saturday to pick up my order, the business was closed. I received no phone call or message letting me know that my flowers needed to be picked up by a certain time, that the shop was closing early, or that my order was still waiting for pickup. Because I needed the flowers that day, I called another local florist. They were incredibly helpful and had a beautiful bouquet ready for me within an hour, the same day. Their customer service was wonderful, and the bouquet was actually less expensive than the one I had purchased from Fremont Flowers. I contacted Fremont Flowers afterward to ask for a refund since I had never received the flowers that day. I was told that I could not receive a refund. Since I was told there would be no refund, I went back the following day to pick up the bouquet. Unfortunately, when I finally received it, I was extremely disappointed. The bouquet consisted of essentially one small grouping of flowers with some greenery and, in my opinion, was nowhere near worth the $100+ I paid. I have photos of the bouquet from Fremont Flowers as well as the bouquet I purchased from another florist for less money. The difference in quality and value is significant. The lack of communication, customer service, and the quality of the final product left me very unsatisfied. I would strongly recommend making sure you fully understand their pickup policy before placing an order.
