Dr. Ana Sierra de Aragon has been my primary care provider for a decade. The negative reviews here do not reflect the quality of care I have received whatsoever. Not only that, but I have sent my daughter, mother, and husband to Dr. Aragon and they all received excellent care. I personally, have had chronic conditions since I was 18 months old and at 45 learned I have a rare genetic disorder. I learned this only because of a specialist she referred me to. Before Dr. A., I searched far and wide for the cause of my illness and disability. I have seen countless doctors between Az, the Midwest, and Asia. Many doctors dismissed me, but Dr. Aragon didn't and because of her my quality of life has improved tremendously. I have never found a more thorough, compassionate, motivated, or intelligent doctor. In fact, I left the state and returned because the quality of her care for my complex and multiple conditions could not be matched elsewhere. I will stay with Dr. Aragon as long as she is in practice. And I will be very sad when she retires. Wait times in the last couple of years have significantly decreased. But yes, on occasion you may have to wait for an extended period of time, but that's the nature of interacting with the medical field. I know everyone wants "Prime Yesterday", but everything can't be instantaneous- especially in medicine. So, to those who complain about wait times- please grow up. You have to take time off to take care of YOUR health. Its for YOU. Schedule accordingly. If you want quality, she's 100% worth the wait. Its McDonald's vs the steakhouse. Now, if you just have mild allergies, a small cold, or no chronic conditions sure you can go to a clinic or urgent care for quick treatment. But if you ever have a complex condition and need someone who will take their time to actually figure out the root of the problem, rather than give you a band-aid, you will WISH you had Dr. Aragon. If she can't figure out what is wrong with you, she will send you to someone who probably can. And let me tell you, she is well respected by her peers. As far as the staff goes, I have seen folks come and go over the years. But I can assure you, no one has ever been rude or disrespectful to me- not even once. Today, (May 2026) there are some great folks on staff including Varenka and Rosa. They know me very well by now and are always diligent when I make a request. The other providers in the office currently are two NPs. They are both excellent and also some of the very best NPs I have ever had the pleasure of receiving care from. Overall, I would highly recommend Dr. Ana Sierra de Aragon. The level of care you will receive cannot be beat for all the reasons mentioned above. Went here on a recommendation from a family member. I should have known better when I first saw the reviews prior to booking. I was told to be there half an hour early only to wait for over 45 minutes past my appointment time without being seen. I gave up because I I took time off of work for the visit and had to leave. I am all for providers spending time with their patients but don't book appointments that close together if you know the provider is not able to see the patients in a timely manner. Also, I do have to agree the office staff was less than welcoming--esp the front desk. read more

Some of the office staff (not all) are rude and unprofessional. The office is run down and so is their equipment. I had to go back twice for a test because of a nonfunctional machine. I was charged $140 for this test which I'm not sure was completed, since I could never get the results. At first I started going to the office every 6 months, then it became every 3 months. After that is was any excuse to get me in there office as often as possible. The worst part of this situation was that none of my health problems were being addressed. Instead of fixing my problem they were creating new problems for me. I was told there was no reason for me to be in pain. I was treated like I was faking or a hypochondriac. This gave them new excuses for more frequent office visits and more copayments from my insurance. I got the name of a very good specialist from a coworker (NOT the doctor's office). I had an epidural in my back 3 months ago and haven't had any problems since. I am back to getting exercise and have become more flexible. Because of this I've lost weight and my blood pressure has gone down. I am in awe that after seeing herniated discs on my MRI that the doctors office could tell me that there's no reason for me to be in pain. Apparently they don't have the knowledge, experience or just don't want to be bothered helping you unless they're getting the copay. I have happily switched physicians. There are many good physicians in this area. This is NOT one of them. Do yourself a favor and find someone who is genuinely interested in helping you maintain your health. read more

Dr Aragon was super thorough with my visit. Very good bed side manner and informative. The wait time took a while. I arrived at 5:15pm for a 5:30pm appt and didn't get called back until 6:40pm and then didn't leave until 7:30pm. That's the only reason for the 4 stars. read more

I really like Dr. Aragon. She is very detailed in reviewing the results of your tests, makes great recommendation on your health, listens to your issues with resolution. She gets a 4 stars from me (one star reduction for the long wait - typically 45-75 minute wait from your appointment time even early in the morning). The issue for me is the staff -- they are a hit or miss. Some are nice, friendly, and competent; others are unfriendly, incompetent, and doesn't care. They RARELY give you a call back when you leave a vmail even though they commited to calling you back. The staff feels somewhat disconnected -- eg. told me they sent in the prescription and then it turns out they didn't which means I have to call back and try to get someone to do it again. They give you a prescription but there is no dosage information, so I leave a vmail and they never call you back. When you are in the office, they are accommodating. But once you leave the office, it's very difficult to reach someone over the phone, bc it rolls over to the vmail. Even if they answer the phone, your message gets lost bc no one ever calls back. With that said, I am seriously considering changing my PCP. I've been hanging in there bc I really like Dr. Aragon, but if I cannot get my issues resolved, then I need to look for another physician. I am disappointed that I now need to start with another doctor. read more

Saw a different doctor here once, and she was fine but I've called in 5 times since then and either got no answer or was asked to hold. First hold was 10 minutes and I gave up. Not once has someone just picked up the phone and been ready to talk. Dr. Aragon has been my GP for a year. She is smart, thorough and caring. Her blood work orders and analyses are complete, and she checks to make sure you see the right specialists and get the right exams from them. I took my husband to her in August when he began getting dizziness and nausea. She examined him, talked to him, diagnosed him, explained the diagnosis thoroughly, gave him an order for blood work and an Rx for the dizziness, and sent him for physical therapy. Boom! It is mid Sept. and he is turning the corner and getting well! We are so grateful by how fast and thorough she got a handle on this issue. Dr. Aragon begins every visit with a handshake and a smile so for those who don't like her typing while you talk to her, this is her way of caring and being thorough in addition to that greeting. Yes, my husband can relate to the long wait times, but we consider it a fairly small price to pay for having such an excellent physician. read more

I'm a new patient to this office and have only had a single visit/ experience, but oh my, it was a fantastic one. I've been fighting an illness for months. I've been to three different clinics, urgent care - I've been seen 8 times since November. I'm starting to understand what constitutes quality care. The care I received today was compassionate and thorough. I spent at least 45 minutes talking with the NP. I never felt rushed. I left the office with a much better understanding of my medical situation and... hope. This was something I'd lost over these months, while interacting with faceless institutions and ambivalent doctors. This office radiates personality. The decor, the wording of the policy statements, the policies themselves - this is not a bland, commercial institution. There's a very small town feel to the place. Like uh, while I was there, a lady brought in homemade cookies during her appointment to share with the staff. I'l update my review if my experience changes over time, but I doubt it will be necessary. Given the reviews here, I expect that I might run into issues with billing or insurance at some point. Insurance companies would prefer to work with the faceless institutions described above, where everything is given a number and a code and fits into a nice slot. I respect that this office puts quality care over ease of billing. read more

I like that Dr. Aragon is very detailed. She is great and always explains everything in detail. Follows up on all tests and results. At the beginning the wait was long, but I think she might have worked on that. I am not sure because I always get an appointment after 6pm. The problem is her staff. They are young and inexperienced. This means that they do not do what is needed when needed. I recently had an appointment and felt rushed out the door but her staff. The girl was giving me a paper that I took in and she needed to fill out once my results came in. She was telling me that the paper was my labs results. I tried to explain what it was and she interrupted me. I said no that's not it wait a minute and let me explain. So at this point I am not sure if this is going to be done correctly. I initially went to this office because of the stellar reviews I had seen on another site. After my first visit I started to seriously wonder if I had been reading the right reviews. The office staff is either incompetent, or they just don't care. It took them 3 WEEKS to process a referral for physical therapy (all the while I was in a lot of pain), and they only finally processed it when I called (for the third time) and made a big fuss. Every time I've called to ask the Dr. a question I have received zero response. Not just a delayed response, ZERO response. They can't ever get me in right away, and when I've gone in I have waited a MINIMUM of an hour. Last time it was 1.5 hours. Dr. Aragon seems knowledgeable, but I find her cold and distracted. Doesn't make eye contact, doesn't seem like she's really listening. She just types on her laptop the entire time I'm talking, asks some very short questions, does a brief exam, then writes a prescription. She's pretty liberal with her use of medication, not particularly open to discussing other options. I went to her a handful of times because she accepted my insurance at the time and it was too much work to find another PCP, but now that I've changed insurance plans I will definitely never return to this practice. read more

DO NOT COME HERE. I found this place from ZocDoc, which actually seemed like a decent location to go. I showed up half an hour early, to fill out paperwork and make sure everything was squared away. The receptionist did not greet me, and was chatting on her personal cell, and made it seem like I was bothering her when I asked to check in. After filling out paperwork, I waited for 45 minutes before being shown to a room. The office seems very old and creepy. Each room had a floor fan and a beat up desk. One of the hallways didn't even have its lights on! Just completely dark, very creepy. I waited in the room for an HOUR before finally getting up and searching for someone. I couldn't find any nurse or doctor (which is very strange), and even went into their break room! The place just looked completely deserted. Finally I found someone who informed me that the doctor would "be right with me". I had other errands to run, so I packed my things and was walking out the door when the doctor came running up to me. She informed me that she had another patient to see before me, and to wait 15 minutes. (At this point I was very upset and frustrated). I told her that I would not wait, since I had been waiting already an hour in the patient room. She asked me to wait a moment, that she would tell the other patient to wait and then she could help me. She was knowledgable, and her beside manner was good, but it's not worth the wait. She examined me, wrote me a prescription (had to wait another 20 minutes for this), and I was finally free to go. Oh, and that receptionist was still on her phone when I was waiting in the lobby. Moral of the story; don't trust ZocDoc with their recommendations. I should've checked Yelp to see what people had to say. This could've all been avoided if I had seen all these reviews first! And don't go to this practice!!! THE MOST unprofessional and unpleasant experience I've had the displeasure of living through. read more

Had blood work done on-site but never heard back. Called the office multiple times but I always get put through to voice mail. This office does not deserve even one star - absolutely NEGATIVE 5 stars. I visited this office twice 'with appointments' (2nd time was just for a follow-up, I would have not gone back if I did not need lab work results) and each time, I waited for 90-120 minutes until I was seen by doctor. Dr. Ana did not even apologize for the wait, she was simply careless and saw me for a few minutes at the most - it was not worth the wait. I requested a copy of lab results when checked out - yes, they printed and handed to me. Since I had been in the doctor's office for more than 2 hours by then, I had to hurry back to work. I reviewed the paperwork later in the day; I realized that they printed and gave me someone else's prescription sheet (showing all of the personal info including Name, Address, etc.) along with my lab results....all I could do was shaking head...this is literally unreal and unacceptable for a doctor's office. Maybe someone else has my personal information also....? Do I need to worry? Office Staff was not the most friendly people either... She is the best doctor that I have ever had. She LISTENS TO HER PATIENTS. Which is a rarity with doctors nowadays. She is a rare gem in Gilbert. You will find no doctor better. This has been the worst doctors office I have ever been too. I went in as a new patient and discussed my issues with the doctor. It took over 3 hours to complete this appointment because she kept leaving the room. I finally had my labs drawn and get a call from Sonora quest saying someone in their office called and cancelled the tests. I went back in to Dr. Aragon's office to have my labs redone and was told someone gave me false info. It's been one month since my appointment and no one has bothered to call with my results. I have been using Dr. Sierra de Aragon's office for about a year now. I am always able to get in for an appointment within a day or two of calling, which is extremely important to me. I rarely wait long in the lobby or exam room. The front office staff is always professional, helpful, and friendly. I started seeing FNP Paul Kuppinger several months ago, and with his constant encouragement and expertise, we've been managing my health issues as a team. I trust his medicine and really feel like he's personally invested in my health. I would definitely recommend Paul to anyone, until he gets too popular and I have trouble getting appointments with him. read more

Only reason why this practice is in business is because she accepts AHCCCS and takes new patients since she loses them after their first visit.You will honestly be very disappointed. I was pleasantly surprised with this office and doctor. I have a horrible sinus infection and coughing and booked an appt via Zoc Doc and met with Jesmina NP and she was friendly and listened to my symptoms. I was seen within 30 mins of my appt time. I also had a reaction to the medication and Jesmina called me bacK within 2-3 hours and called in a different prescription. The office is in need of a little freshening up but that doesn't not matter to me. What matters is that Jesmina was very attentive and actually called me back. I would recommend this practice and intend on going back if I get sick again. read more

ALL I needed was a doctors note to be sent to me for my work and they didn't want to take care of it. I contemplated changing primary care physicians a year ago after having a lot of difficulty getting through to office staff to follow up on my lab work and for prescription refills, but I decided to let it slide. Well, this week I went to see the NP at Dr. Ana Sierra de Aragon's office, and while he was friendly, he wrote my prescription for the wrong quantity so my pharmacy would not fill it. My pharmacy reported that they called 3 times with no response. I called the office twice today to have them correct it and I didn't get a call back, not even to acknowledge they were working on it. I also learned this week that the labwork I had done back in April/May of 2014 showed my Vitamin D was deficient, yet NO ONE discussed that with me until nearly 1 yr later! I had a weird feeling when no one answered the phone in the office no matter what time of day I called, but I went anyway. I waited TWO HOURS, it wouldn't have been a huge problem but at least 4 people came in after me and were all seen before me. Finally a male doctor came in the room. He was very nice but I never even found out what his name was. He was the only one that cared at all that I had to wait so long. I liked the doctor, but the office staff is rude and condescending. I arrived for one appointment that I had made online through their website--and was told my appointment wasn't until the following day. When I said I had confirmation, the receptionist looked at the message on my phone, then took my phone to show the doctor! Really?!?!? Why should I have to Prove I was right??? Then we get a letter from the dr's office, saying we owed a bill from Nov 2015. We paid,because the letter threatened collections (it was the first we'd seen of this issue). We did some research and discovered we Had paid the bill. Insurance had finally gotten it put through in Feb 2016 and we immediately paid. When I called the office, Rosa said it had "been too long" to refund the second payment. I told her I could still dispute it with my CC company. She put me on hold, then came back and said no, don't dispute it. She said they would mail the check that weekend (it was Wednesday). I asked her to refund the card, which she Supposedly did. I also asked her to send email confirmation of the refund. That never arrived. When the refund failed to show at our bank after about a week, we called and disputed the charge and had it reversed. Don't expect to ever talk to staff when you call. You only get answering machine. They never get your refills in to pharmacy on time. Even tho i left messages after messages. They ordered blood test every time i went in. Which i didn't need! Express Script said They had sent them numerous faxes for my refills with no response. DO NOT See this doctor!!! read more

I went in for a follow up for blood work. The young lady at the desk stated that I was not on the schedule even though I had the appointment card in my hand. She was very professional and handled the problem by finding another doctor to take me in a timely manner. I have found the staff to be rude and inconsiderate, wait times excessive, the PCP and NP cool and distant. Also, calls are always forwarded to voicemail and it can take up to 2 days for a return call. Even then I've had to call and leave a second message to get a response. Getting prescription refills is also a problem. read more

I went in for an annual physical as a work requirement, and they coded the visit incorrectly, so now I'm getting lab invoices from Sonora Quest Labs for work the doc ordered. Dr Ana Rocks!!!! I've been terribly terribly sick for a month. Went to Urgent Care twice AND twice to the Emergency Room within this past month. They examined me for 20 seconds, barely asked any questions and barely did an exam. They drew blood and did a urinalysis. They told me I was fine and it was not emergency. I got a few scripts, told me to follow up with my primary doctor (the VA) and sent me home with no answers. I went to see Dr, Ana today. She was very very thorough, She spent an hour of her time asking me questions and taking notes. She review my provided blood panel thoroughly and listened to my every word. She gave me her professional opinions and gave me a referral to a GI specialist and for a C-scan. Her staff made phone calls to see which specialists in the area could get me in the fastest. I should not have ever endured the symptoms and physical pain that I have suffered over the past month not to mention the loss of work. Dr. Ana is truly very thorough and very compassionate. Her office is very clean with the newest of technology. Her staff was so very courteous and kind. I am extremely grateful for FINALLY finding a doctor that would actually listen and care.
