After a cut from Juliet, I feel like my curls can finally spring up to their potential. Juliet started out with a dry cut and she was so amazing answering all of my questions (which I had a lot). She was super knowledgeable as to the type of products that my hair could handle, and even let me know that my current shampoo/conditioner was probably too heavy for me which is why my curls were a bit lackluster. After the dry cut we moved onto the wash and some final snipping finishes. I'll probably never be able to recreate the final look that she achieved after diffusing but I'll make it my personal mission to get as close to it as possible. Long story short, if you want someone who's a solid conversationalist, gives great curly advice, and listens to the type of haircut you want I recommend Juliet!

I hadn't had a blowout in 5 years and I hadn't been in a salon since 2019. Hana was my stylist, and I really liked her vibe. Loved every moment of my appointment: wash, condition, steam, blow out, silk press. I badly needed a cut, but I only signed up for a trim, so she took off just an inch: I could have let go of two easily. But it's ok: I'll be back. My hair only began to revert a bit around the edges, even with low intensity exercise. I pushed it to two weeks before I gave in and washed it, but I only intended to keep the blow out a week. I couldn't help myself, it looked so good and was such a nice change. I will be back for some natural styling. This place is directly across the street from Blue Moon. This is a dangerous combination, because I love the Cap'n Crunch French Toast at Blue Moon. Parking in Fells is difficult, so I recommend just parking in the garage on Caroline Street, closer to the water. If you do it on the weekends (I was there on a Saturday) it will be very inexpensive. The salon has a chill vibe. They are respectful with masks. They stagger appointments so it's not crowded. And the prices are very fair and leave room for you to leave a generous tip. Thanks Hana!

I have met some amazing women and every time I'm there I get to witness another woman or young lady say how much their hair experience rejuvenated them and how we feel like new women. I got some pictures of what I was aiming for and yelped the highest rated hair salon near me and found 1535 Hair Salon. I saw Gerrie (Beatrice) celebrated twice so I requested her. She was able to fit me in the same day! I emphasized that I wanted the front of my hair long and the back short. Gerrie listened to me and said we would start with the back and would check in as we went to see if I wanted shorter. It was great that she was listening and would work with me! Gerrie did have quite a few interruptions as people talked to her, a popular lady. Gerrie talked nonstop and told me stories about her friends. I saw Gerrie wrapping my hair around so my Bob would be symmetrical. For the most part it was except the very front. Which I can fix later if it still bothers me. My hair looks much better then it did all in all. Thank you!

She said it was because of the length of my hair. My mothers hair is down her back and started falling out after 3 days of having her hair done. She stated this was because of her texture. Both my mom and I have been getting our hair braided for years with no issues, so this is kind of hard to believe. There was no offer to re-do the strands that had fallen out of my mothers hair or to fix my hair. I am very very disappointed and will not be back. I would rather wait a bit at my previous salon and know my style will last versus sitting with someone who will rush and takes no pride in their work. Also, during my mom's appointment she took a call from someone trying to get their son's hair done. She told the woman she was booked on every day that the woman asked for and stated when she got off of the phone that no one is going to tell her when they get their hair done. They will come when she says or not at all. She also bragged about telling people she can't do certain things because she doesn't feel like doing those styles or they take too long.
