Oh, and if you have Asian hair like I do, Liz has a good deal of experience with Asian hair types and is adept at lightening dark, thick hair without destroying it. - The experience is always personal: Juxtapose is a one person operation which means Liz is doing it and tracking it all herself. It's common that she's got three timers going either on her phone or Alexa device, for the sections of my hair getting processed. And she's always looking for ways to keep the client comfortable such as less time sitting at the shampoo bowl. - Liz is a genuine person that you enjoy spending time with while getting your hair done. Liz is such an artist! I have been seeing her for over 5 years. I moved recently and still drive an hour to see her. She is incredibly knowledgable and will really the process so you know exactly what you're getting. She is very adamant about hair health and will not let you ruin your hair. I wanted to love her because of the prep and questionnaires she sent prior to my appointment to get an understanding of my hair, the texture and what I wanted. Don't get me wrong - I loved how my hair turned out but when I first arrived at the salon she had some attitude / vibes were off. I missed the note that you had to text her to get let into the salon because the doors were locked so I was a little lost/confused when I first got there and when she let me it, that's when she told me on her website it said to text her when you arrive. It was a really cold day so I was bundled and when I was trying to settle she offered to take my coat and my bag but was rushing me to take them off and had an impatient expression on her face. That's when I asked if my appointment was 930 or 945 to see if that's why she was annoyed and I was late (it was at 945 and I got there at 945... maybe I should've gotten there earlier??? I'm just not sure). And honestly the rest of the appointment I was just put off by the weird vibes and just felt uncomfortable. Maybe it was just a bad morning or something but because of it I don't think I want to go back. read more

I've looked for a stylist like Liz for years. I discovered her Instagram and each photo was amazing, so I got in touch immediately. She took the time to do a consultation via zoom AND a consultation when I got there to make sure she understood what I wanted. She didn't rush anything, when so many appointments in the past for me with other stylists have been. She thought out exactly how she would execute the style and color, and patiently took the time to explain each step to me. She is extremely thorough in trying to understand her clients' needs AND in her Covid protocol. We had an absolute blast listening to great music, chatting, and laughing the whole time. The studio is in a really cool place too--the layout is awesome. Very Covid safe. Besides Liz just being magical, I wanted to add that so many stylists have told me in the past that the color/ look I wanted wasn't possible unless I curled it. As you can see in the photo, this is my straight hair with the color and dimension I want! She just is magic and I am so happy to have found the stylist for me, finally!
