With a toddler, the studio setting would be better than being outdoors. She's also priced reasonably for what she offers. Here some reasons why I am knocking off one star and also if it helps others. The pros first: Pros: - She has a wardrobe you can select different style of dresses from. You can even go before your maternity session to try them on. - Good selection of dresses - Super friendly - When it comes to booking and locking in your date, she's very prompt at responding. - Priced well for services Cons: In the past I've worked with photographers (maternity and not) and I'm used to organized plans. Such as sending questionnaires ahead of time for looks/style/inspo boards of desired outcome. Annina doesn't offer that which I was a bit surprised about. Only found out about background colors day of shoot. Luckily, I came prepared with reference photos of poses I wanted since she asked during the photoshoot. The system of selecting photos was a bit difficult. It took us severe days to drill down 100 or so photos to 15. She takes about 14-20 business days after you select the photos to send you the edited photos. Ours came at exactly 20 business days after selection. There is an option to add comments on the photos you selected. Looks like these comments were ignored since the change wasn't done on the photo and I wasn't told why it wasn't. I had to text many times about the photo album we purchased. From the day I asked, it took ten days to get a final response on look of album. There was a lot of "I'll send something later today" but that turned into 5 days later, twice. I had to keep asking about it. May have gone longer. Production of album was 3 weeks. It's not sent to your house (other photographers I've bought albums from send it to you) I had my sister pick it up since her place is far from me. Also, by this time, it had been 9 weeks, more than 2 months since day of photoshoot. It was a long wait ... When I texted her I would come to pick up the album, she gave me times but when I told her I would go x day during the times she gave me, she responded later and gave me a new time window for pick up. It could have been that I was on my way with her original time and she wouldn't have been there. All in all, she does have good work and she is super friendly. But due to the long wait time to get photos, slower communication after photoshoot was complete, I'm not sure I was completely content with the work. That said, many people did love the photos. If you like to get your photos in a short amount of time, like organization, upfront communication, love mood board and options to talk about your vision beforehand, this might not be it.

It was already so stressful prepping for a photoshoot with 3 kids (my daughter, son and husband, hehe), but Jenn reassured me every step of the way. He was not crazy about the…read moreidea of an hour long photo shoot but she put him at ease immediately, let all the shots come organically, and he actually enjoyed it! We really appreciated her willingness to shoot in a location she was not familiar with as it is one of our son's favorite places to be. She scouted the area prior to our appointment and you would never have known it was her first time photographing the area. The photos were just amazing! Truly, I knew they would be good, but the final product blew me away. She sent me the slide show and I watched 5 or 6 times and tried not to cry as I admired all the photos that captured my son's personality so well. This is an emotional time for a parent but having these photos, and the memories of the actual shoot, which was so fun, means so much! Tonya had a set up in am empty store front where they were doing pet adoptions. Even with all the commotion she was able to get some great shots of my excitalbe dog and the prices were more then fair. We still wanted to get married as planned so we decided to do a micro wedding in town and push our large reception to what will be our 1 year anniversary. I didn't know where to start! Navigating fees and permits, outdoor rentals, decor, etc. was not something I was ready to tackle on such a tight timeline. We found Heather and after a phone call I knew we were in great hands. I told her our ideas and she designed a package for us that fit our needs perfectly- she also suggested the perfect location! I was sold.  As the months leading up to our wedding passed, 2020 continued to throw curveballs our way. My fiance's father got sick, my grandma passed, and my dad had impending open heart surgery. A hard year just kept getting harder. As time continued to pass and we were so busy with travel to be with family on top of "normal" life, Heather was always a gentle voice letting me know that everything was being handled and that we didn't need to add our wedding to the list of things to worry about. It was such a relief to have her. She was always so kind and compassionate, even when the day was getting close and I was emailing her constantly with questions!  Our big day finally came. I didn't look anything like we imagined when we first got engaged, but it was absolutely perfect. Covid ruined our plan A, but Heather took our plan B and made magic. Our ceremony space was beautiful. She went above and beyond what we had talked about and I was blown away when I arrived. Beyond the coordination, she was also an incredibly fun photographer to work with and her experience and love for what she does is palpable. We got our sneak peek photos the same day and were over the moon. We got the full album back in way less time than expected and are just so in love with the photos. We look through them often to relive the best day that 2020 gave us and our families. We can't thank Heather enough for all of the love and work she put into our wedding.
