I was a walk-in and the ladies at the front desk welcomed me in and asked what they could help me with. I asked if they took my insurance and then she checked for me, and the answer was yes. So, she made me an appointment for a little way out almost a month out, but they were busy and I was ok with it. I came in for my appointment and checked in, filled out some paperwork since I was a new patient and I hadn't had a vision checkup in quite a while (17+ years, my vision hadn't changed). The prescription I had gotten 30 years prior still work because I never really used my glasses, only to drive at night with. The office is super clean and stocked with a lot of frames with a range of price points from basic (what is covered by your insurance) and the extra price add-on is listed on the frames (which you are responsible for). So, it was easy peasy to know what was going on and not be in the dark about the pricing on the frames. They also had a good selection of cheaper frames that were listed at an additional $60 all the way to $310, but honestly, I only looked at the frames that I liked. Time for my appointment, the optician (with the purple streaks in her hair, sorry I didn't get her name or any of the other optician's names, but they are all very nice and super helpful) prepped me for my pretest and explained what to do as she went along with all the testing. She was super nice and made me feel comfortable as she administered each test. I pretty much told her I can tell her what the letters are but when she got to the smaller ones, they were blurry (but I still knew what they were and we laughed!!) She made me feel at ease for my eye exam that was coming up with the Dr. Dr. Vargas walked in, and he was polite and personable. He administered my eye exams, and I (again) said I will tell him what the letters are, but I let him know when it's blurry, but I was able to tell him what the letter were, and we both laughed. The eye exam wasn't rushed and he was thorough. He explained everything to me and my left eye the prescription hadn't changed at all, but my right eye had "dry spots" so that means new glasses. I was in the building a week later and just checked to see if my glasses were ready, and they were. Happy camper that can see....lol read more

I've been visiting Anaheim Eye Care since I moved back to OC. Parking: There's a medium sized parking lot which happens to be consistently busy almost everyday, so finding a parking spot can be a hit or miss. Ambiance/Environment: This office is located on the 2nd floor. Once you walk in, you'll find the elevators on the right side. Take the elevators up to the 2nd floor. The office will be the first one you see when you exit the elevators on the right. If you get lost, there's signage everywhere. Service: Booking an appointment is easy via the website they texted me. I had to choose two appointment times that fit my schedule. It's somewhat difficult finding a time because majority of the slots that are open are during my work hours. I also received a call confirming an appointment time I chose. They send constant reminders about my appointment time and date. The receptionists don't really acknowledge you when you walk in until you say something to them. Make sure to sign the sheet once you arrive then sit and wait to be called. Dr. Vargas is the main doctor I prefer. An optometric assistant will first exam your eyes before the doctor visits you. I didn't catch her name, but she gave me a lot of useful tips regarding eye lenses and contacts. Dr. Vargas was very informative and patient. He answered every question I had. Although I might not remember the proper terms, I understood the importance of taking care of my eyes. My eyes definitely got more blind by .5 and more dry compared to last year. I had to get new prescription and eye drops. Dr. Vargas also gave me coupons for Refresh eye drops. They offer all types of brands for the frames. I chose Ray-ban frames which cost more expensive, but I wanted to go with something new. It takes about 2 weeks for the new glasses to arrive. I got chose high index and anti-reflective lenses. read more

I don't know where to start. First, I made an appointment online. I get a call back confirming it. The next day I get another call saying it was given to someone else by mistake. When I met the doctor she was nice. I was waiting to see if she would tell me anything about a certain eye. She did not mention anything until I did. After, I went to look at frames. No one attempted to get up and assist me so I left, let it be noted there was 3 workers behind the desk talking. I came back to another day to order my glasses, same thing! They just sat there and did not bother once to help me with anything. I had to ask them! Once I chose my frames, I was informed it should take week and a half to two. I took almost a month to get my glasses back. When I went to the office, they handed them to me and didn't say anything. I tried them on and everything looked blurry! I asked if anyone was going to assist me with my glasses. Someone finally got up, I informed her that everything was blurry. After having me read something and etc, she notices that it was marked wrong on my lenses. Once again my glasses needed to be sent out! I ordered my glasses on 6/27/25 and it now 8/15/25 and NOTHING!!! This is by far the worst office I have ever been to. read more

So first off, to Claudia and Suzy you both are amazing human beings, thank you so much. My son got his contacts in time for his entire 3day tournament. The was an extremely challenging situation, which Claudia quarterback this problem to solution like a 5x super bowl champion. Here was my situation my son discovered a rip on his last pair of contacts on his left eye. His tournament was starting in 1hour. I started calling local retailers for contact's and most of them offered a few more ideas to a solution. Manly explained that it was a special order prescription for my sons astigmatism contacts. After 8 different optometrist, I was professionally and kindly greeted by Claudia at Anaheim eye care optometry. I called in at 1041am I informed Claudia about my situation and she stated "I'll ask the doctor about this can you call back in half an hour." I called back at 1111am, she asked if she could get another 10mins or call me back. I'm a faith based person, so I held out patiently for the call back. Claudia called me back at 1119am and told me she had a solution to my problem I told her ill be there right away, so left the Anaheim convention center. When I got there she had the exact prescription we needed. Her and Suzy went above and beyond with the doctors help (whom extremely busy with patients) they got me everything I needed. They were so diligent and hardworking it was such a relief that medical professionals like them give me hope in humanity. Because of them my son played out his tournament with safety and clarity. I brought my Chanel glasses for it to get prescription n they lost my glasses. They can't even tell me what happened to it. I been waiting for 3+ months n for them to tell me this bad news. My Chanel glasses wasn't cheap. All the can offer me is to look for a pair of glasses at there place for a wholesale price. This review is long overdue. Months ago, my mom was in need of an eye doctor ASAP. After calling many optometry locations, Dr. Vargas was the only one who was able to take my mom in for an eye emergency the same day within two hours of calling. My mom had badly slit her eye and was in severe amount of pain with excess tearing and swelling. Dr. Vargas immediately gave her medicated eye drops to ease her pain. He examined her and thoroughly explained to us both the healing process, and reassured my mom that she would be okay. He was a very comforting and personable doctor and even called to follow up to ask about her recovery. I've been going to Doctor Vargas officr for several years now. It always surprises me that both he and the staff remember both my husband and I every time. I can imagine that they see a lot of patients yet they always remember even what we talked about last time on a prior visit. Any explanations are very thorough, questions always answered, and any procedures are always thoroughly explained. The girls are great too. They always try to help you out as much as they can even if that means multiple calls to your insurance just to see if they can get you a better deal. I am one of the most indecisive people and they are always incredibly patient with me even if last time it meant me debating on what glasses to get for 20 - 30 minutes and then they ended up helping me order some instead.
