Awesome "little" shop. Quite decently sized but very well used, so lots of stuff to browse through! Some cool original releases too, I went with a couple of newer ones though. Staff is nice and knowledgeable, good music and great vibes!

This is small record shop with a decent vinyl collection of popular artists as well as a fantastic rotating selection of vintage albums out front. Always someone friendly working the front counter. pro tip: buy yourself a travel record player and plan an overnight getaway with that special person in your life. make this the first stop and you can each pick out an old album for the getaway.

Beautiful awesome store with great selections. super nice employee :) i will be back for more

Fantastic record shop. They sell plenty of used vinyl, and new LPs. I found some nice jazz, soul, and some Latin treats. Looked trendy at the beginning but there's some depth here. You have to dig and get your fingers dusty! I wish they had more 12" singles but I'll be back. The young lady behind the counter was very helpful. They have some nice turntables for sale too! Definitely a must visit.

Thinking about this store evokes sentiment from my tender heart. Analog packs a remarkable selection of good tunes in one of the coziest spots I have seen in my life, my life, my life. Why so cozy? In a word: drawers. This store relies on many well placed, space saving drawers that allow the owner to store even more records beneath the usual bins that most stores use to display the vinyl. The choice of the drawers speaks to the overall quality of the layout. One of the better organized and run music spots I have bought tunes from. The owner keeps this place immaculate. I appreciate the prices here too. Most all vinyl priced fairly and priced thoughtfully. Most of the sought after or popular records were priced to sell, and I noticed the owner answered customers' questions in a polite and informative manner. I am not sure any one analogy truly does the music shop justice. A go see for the music connoisseurs.

My first time here was when when they had their grand opening. I was excited to see a small record shop come to Tustin but it's so small that if there are more than 5 people browsing, it's simply too crowded to shop. I have stopped in another handful of times and it's a great place to kill time but I never find anything I want to buy. If you like new music and want new records that are factory sealed, that is what you will find. If you are looking for rare finds or used vinyl there isn't much available and good luck trying to find something specific in the used section because it isn't organized alphabetically or anything as it will likely be a part of their "bargain" collection. They also sell players and speakers and such but I have never seen anything on display. You might have to ask whomever is behind the counter if you're in the hunt for something like that.

"Can you feel it? My funky sensation."…read more -Gwen McRae Anyone sleeping on The Funk Freaks is dreaming. This record store puts most specialty or niche record stores in their place. The vinyl collection consisted exclusively of knockers, slappers, bangers, and heaters. I saw all of the essentials when I dug through the inventory here: Kano, James Brown, D-Train, Vaughan Mason, Graham Central Station, Hot Cuisine, The Strikers, Secret Weapon, and etcetera. Any Prelude, any Sutra, any Westend--Funk Freaks just might have it. I was pleasantly surprised. The customer service earned all the stars I can give too. Loser and Debo managed the kind of authentic professionalism and good humor that most franchises try foolishly codify in a handbook. Congeniality can't be fabricated, and neither can The Funk! Loser played me a copy of Jammin' Big Guitar by Vaughan Mason, and Debo shared a few polished anecdotes about The Funk Freaks' latest tour in Berlin. Neither man was just chilling in the store though. What is most impressive about The Freaks is their assiduous promotion of all that is FUNK FREAKS. Debo and Loser were unpacking several boxes of black sweaters featuring the notorious FUNK FREAKS graffiti that has now garnered international acclaim for Loser, Debo, Unique, Luer, Ney, Bosoe, Irene R., Clos, Lil Man, Phree, Groove, Aysai, and the rest of THE FUNK GANG. Loser only stopped moving merchandise to sell a Funk Freaks t-shirt to a woman who wanted a Funk Freaks shirt for her 2 year old. They're never too young for the Funk. The mother was in such a rush she forgot her credit card; without hesitating, Loser sped down the stairs, the shop is on the 2nd floor, stopped the mother in the lot and handed her the card. I seldom see that level of sheer effort made just to ensure a customer's satisfaction. These guys are freaks in word and deed. They go out of their way to put the classic funk in the correct hands. Do me favor. If you are a Funk Freak, or a Funk fan, please take me with you to the store when you go. I left hours ago, and I already want to be back there with The Freaks where The Funk belongs. In all seriousness: message me before you go. I need to pick up a Parliament single I should not have left there. Please do not go to see The Freaks without me. I need the Funk. I got to have that Funk!

"Who is Pink?" -Pink Floyd "Welcome to the Machine"…read more I usually find a few vinyl gems here when I go. The owner and buyer, Parker, regularly updates his stock with the freshest high quality vinyl. I most recently found a great Robin Kenyatta record at Creme for a couple of bucks. A definite result of Parker's efforts to maintain a diverse and sizable inventory inside and around the shiny Creme Tangerine trailer. Parker is faced with another daunting and near impossible Herculean labor due to the chic trailer storefront he maintains so meticulously. Because Parker stocks the trailer store with hip vinyl, keeps it tidy, and lights the space well, Creme Tangerine is frequently besieged by the vainest, most self absorbed hipsters, wannabe instamodels, superficial adolescent couples, and vain valley girls at heart who want nothing to do with vinyl music and want everything to do with snapping a cool photo of themselves holding a copy of Led Zeppelin's Coda or Fleetwood Mac's Rumors. That said, most of the waves of youth immersed in the online worlds obsessed with the fanciful photo do not even hold, not to mention look at, the bins of clean vinyl Parker has so dutifully curated. When all customers actually concerned with buying records at a record store, Parker, and anyone with a pulse have determined that one of these photo vultures has descended on Creme Tangerine, Parker furtively sticks his leonine blond head into the trailer and politely reminds the vulture(s) that he is running a record store and not a photo booth. The best part of the above encounters between Parker and the flocks of Vultures is seeing the moment when the actual spoken words enter the ears of the vultures, and, for an instant, requires that they acknowledge a reality outside of their desire to scavenge for likes. Words force the photo leeches to think, and this causes them to scatter. Parker is a congenial gentleman who would rather not shoo instamodels from Creme Tangerine; the owner has a business to run and records to play. Perhaps he could include a photo jar, you know, like a swear jar but for selfies, to keep the snapshot junkies at bay? Whatever solution Parker chooses, I know it will be one that ends the Judgment of Paris and continues the tradition of all pro record sales at Creme Tangerine. I award Creme Tangerine one gold apple and 5 stars for good service and good records. Applause sign on.
