However, I did not like the lamb. It tasted like hamburger meat, and it was tough. Tahir, one of the cooks, noticed that I hardly touched the lamb kofta, so he asked me what was wrong, and when I told him, he offered me that another skewer of beef kofta. Now that's good customer service. The basmati rice was delicious. I could not stop eating it. Tahir said that it is brown because he puts gravy and different spices in it. The salad was okay. The restaurant was relatively clean despite the huge traffic. I will return here, just to order the beef kofta with basmati rice (no salad, please).

Now that I know about this place I'm going to look for the five locations in Orlando.

A large platter arrived with perfectly cooked rice to accompany our entrees. We also ordered the delicious Sesame Naan which arrived with two dipping sauces. While waiting for my order, I observed one of the employees handling frozen meat in an extremely unsanitary manner. She repeatedly slammed a frozen bag of meat onto the dirty floor, which appeared to be her method of separating or defrosting the meat. After doing this several times, she picked the meat up directly from the bag with her bare hands and placed it on the grill without wearing any gloves. Another female employee working at the front counter was also behaving in an unsanitary way. She continuously wiped the corners of her mouth with her shirt while working the register and handling cash. Immediately afterward, she went to assist the other employee with the food preparation, again without washing her hands or wearing gloves. Both employees were handling food without gloves throughout the time we were there. In addition to the hygiene concerns, the customer service was extremely poor. When we entered, we were not greeted or acknowledged at all. There were no other customers present, yet the staff seemed visibly annoyed by our presence. The employees spoke in another language the entire time we were inside and did not make any effort to communicate with us or provide basic customer service. When we left, there was still no acknowledgment or farewell. Due to the seriousness of what I witnessed, I contacted the restaurant to speak with the manager. When I explained that I had concerns about what I observed, he told me he was very busy and that I should call back later. He did not appear concerned about the situation or interested in addressing the issues taking place in the facility. The conditions I witnessed were extremely unsanitary and unacceptable for a food establishment. Proper food handling, hygiene practices, and respectful customer service should be basic standards in any restaurant. I hope the management takes these concerns seriously and addresses these issues immediately to ensure the safety and well-being of future customers. Based on what I observed, I would not feel comfortable eating here again.
