The low ratings have me confused because my experience was great. Everything was quite delicious! The service was welcoming and fast as well. We had the beef Bihari, beef and lamb kebabs, chicken tikka legs and thighs, naan and their speciality bread: lahori kulcha. Nothing was over cooked or dry. It was all seasoned well too. I really liked the lahori kulcha. More than their naan. Up until the day I went, I had never had a lahori kulcha. It's more on the sweet side compared to naan and I loved every bite of it!! The restaurant is pretty huge and enough room for large family parties. It was pretty packed on Friday, at 8 PM, when we went. There is also a parking lot which makes parking convenient. We came all the way from Brooklyn. So if you know the drive, it's pretty long to get there. But I'd say it was worth the drive! I think my only thing is, even though we did have enough to pack for leftovers, for each serving to be a little bigger. Instead of 2 kebabs, I'd love to have 4. But to be fair, they have their all-you-can-eat nights and I'm really trying to make it all the way out there for that! Posting a very late review of the Iftar buffet from Ramadan. Basically I called, made my reservation, and paid on the spot via zelle for my party. Upon arriving we gave our name and they showed us to our seats. We arrived about fifteen min before which I highly recommend doing, if not sooner because despite the restaurant being in a plaza you might be circling for parking for a little while and everyone rushes in to fill up their plates about five ten min before Iftar time. Their selection of food was vast but unfortunately the quality of the food was just okay or total miss. The samosas and spring rolls were evidently store bought and the latter was actually disgusting, which I hate to say about food but it really had zero redeemable qualities. I would reccomend totally skipping any of the fried appetizers because they were total wastes of stomach space. The appetizers that were good however were the fish and the onion rings were seemingly made in house and pretty good. Then came the array of salans. I sampled pretty much everything and the butter chicken, channa, Karahi keema, and nihari were the ones I enjoyed most. There were two types of rice available as well. Unfortunately it was kinda clear everything was very quickly thrown together with little thought because on the chicken tikkas there was still fat so it was clear it wasn't cleaned properly before preparing. There were three choices of dessert too, the gajar ka halwa was plain bad. Very clear they didn't use butter or ghee in its prep but oil. Soda was an additional charge but lassi, water, and rooh afza was free. As for prayer space, when I called to make my reservation I had asked if there was any and they had said yes. When we got there this designated prayer space was literally on the sidewalk outside the restaurant. It was cold and raining so that was not pleasant. Overall I was happy to have had the experience and try the variety of the food but I would never do it again at kababjees and I would definitely never come back in any capacity for any of the other food. read more

Here to pickup an order for a family member. I don't eat here and now I remember why. No one here to greet me and 2 women walked out for waiting too long. Cook comes outside and yells that there is a customer here. Woman comes out with naan and no one in restaurant. The place was well decorated with truck art and things from Pakistan . I had known in advance what dishes to order and to get the spice level to the medium. We started with the Aloo Tufan , which was well presented. Next we had to do the Karahis , that's what they are known for. Also a must is to try the "Halal Guide Platter". Also the Karahi is by the pound , so for example for 2 people a pound is enough. You gotta do the naan, especially the garlic naan. I got the WORST NAANS OF THE WORLD. Yes you read it right. Embarrassed me and my family in front of our guests. Food is expensive and service is really bad. Ambience also is normal. It was such a hurting experience. Save your money and go somewhere else. If you want to go there, stay there, eat there and if something is not good, return right away. Went here for the first time and i couldn't believe my eyes when i looked over at the cashier and he had his foot up on the table right next to cash register literally picking his toenails. I understand he is the cashier and probably doesn't handle food but it's a restaurant and everyone who is eating shouldn't have to see you picking in between your toes and under your toenails. Was looking forward to trying this place for a while as a friend told me this place was good. I ended up coming here a few weeks ago with two other friends for dinner on a Saturday night. Place was pretty packed out as some people were having a party here or something. Interior seemed pretty ok; there didn't seem to be an abundance of space but we got a table and it was fine. I had scouted out the menu prior to arriving and was looking forward to getting a few cheap kebabs and some naan or something. I was disappointed when I saw the menu because I saw a picture on Yelp a few months back that showed that they had individual kababs priced around $1.50 (chicken) to $2.00 (reshmi) each. But when I came a few weeks ago, the menu indicated that the kababs come in sets of 3 and the cheapest one (chicken) was $6. Not a bad price at all but I was disappointed that you had to order 3 and the price went up. In addition one of my friends is vegetarian and most of their vegetarian options on the menu were unavailable that day for some reason. Anyways, I ended up getting chicken kababs ($6) and naan ($1.50). Food came out and it looked and smelled really good. Everything here seemed really spicy. My friend got a chick pea dish and another friend got lamb and both dishes were very spicy. They give you a green sauce as well, and that packed heat too. Overall it was a bit too spicy for me even though I like spicy food. My kababs were very solid though and the naan was soft, hot, and tasty as well. I definitely enjoyed my meal. Overall I'd give three stars for my experience. Close to 4 but I gave three mainly because of what I mentioned with the menu / prices. And there wasn't any other aspects of the experience like customer service or other details that made it a great experience. Hopefully I'll try this place again sometime in the future; it definitely seemed very popular because there were a lot of people waiting. *** Edit *** - After I posted my review, the reported owner / chef of the restaurant sent me a message saying sorry for any inconvenience, thanking me for my review, and offered to be contacted next time to make sure the experience is better. He didn't ask me to change my review rating or anything but he seemed like he cared about my experience being less than stellar. For me it's a big deal when any business responds to feedback and makes efforts to provide a better experience so I'm adding another star to my review, making it 4 stars instead of 3. I'm so glad I came across Kababjees because I've been looking for a great, clean, beautiful Pakistani restaurant since foreverrrrr in NY! Food: I tried the mix platter, toofani aloo, goat karahi, chicken karahi, garlic naan, and sesame naan! Everything was a complete hit and super flavorful! Nothing was over the top spicy to the point where you can't taste anything so I really appreciated that balance of seasoning that the food had. I also was really impressed by the naan because it was super fluffy and soft and a little thicker than most Pakistani restaurants. I definitely recommend getting that. The toofani aloo was SOOOO good and I love the presentation of it! Drinks: I tried the mango lassi which was pretty good and refreshing and complimented the food! Service: Great service! I mean the staff is really on top of their game and properly follow mask guidelines. Ambiance: WOW, it is STUNNING INSIDE! This restaurant really showcases the beautiful side of Pakistani culture and I love the map which is inclusive to all cultures of Pakistan. Terrible lunch buffet my friends and I had to experience. The mixed grill was cold and had a piece of hair on it. The chicken karahi was only bones and no meat. Their was only oil and no curry. Having grown up eating Pakistani food, I have pretty high standards for a good ole paki restaurant. While the toofani aloos are pretty famous or snap story worthy, I feel like taste wise it could be crunchier. My biggest dissatisfaction was with both Karahi's I ordered (chicken & goat). Although they both tasted good, half the meat was BONES. There was not even a ton of masala which made it hard to eat with the naan. That being said, the naans were really good, we ordered regular and Lahori kulcha which I would recommend. The lahori kulcha is basically naan with sesame seeds. I came with a big group so gratuity was already included, but even if I was to remove that the order total was around $30 per person. In my humble opinion, to the pricey side with the restaurant that doesn't necessarily have superior service or dishes worth the price. read more
