What a strange experience. We came in at 6pm on a Wednesday. The place is huge and it was empty. We were the only table at the start of our visit. They had no bartender so the other servers tried to figure out the drinks. I only had water but a colleague ordered a vodka drink and she was certain there was no vodka in it. But hey, they tried. The service overall was fine. No issues. However, the food is very good. We got a variety. Masala Peanuts - addicting. Very good. Onions Pakora - think onion rings but chopped up. Very flavorful. Chicken Wings - so good I got a boneless tandoori chicken for my main. They called it something else. I ordered it very spicy. The server even asked "are you sure". I took my niece here to celebrate her birthday. The food was good. I definitely have a favorite Indian restaurant that is my go to in Hicksville. But ,this is local gem was pretty good. The staff is really nice. I can't believe I forgot to take pictures of my meal. I will definitely be returning, so I'll take pictures next time for sure. I would love to give this place 4 Stars however the buffet food was cold at 1210pm yet the food was decent & flavorful. This was our 1st time eating at this restaurant therefore we took a spoonful of different items to try. While thinking about what dessert we would should order we were approached by an older lady who began questioning us about the food in a condescending manner. She asked us 3 times if we like the food and if so why did we leave food on the plate, she proceeded to inform us that they charge a fee for wasted food by the pound. We informed the lady we didn't leave a pound of food for waste and this is our first time trying this restaurant. She refused to let up on her Wasteful Speech and ended the 2 min conversation with "Don't worry about it". That literally left a sour taste in our mouth and we decided never to eat here again! Pretty good Indian food in the area! Ordered delivery and received my order promptly. Decided to go against the grain of my usual favorites and ordered: sabzi malai kofta, onion kulcha, chai garam and..a samosa (I couldn't leave without ordering a classic, ok?) The sabzi malai kofta was great! Definitely should be on your radar if you're a fan of tikka masalas. The sauce is super creamy and the veggie dumplings are lightly fried and made with veggies and paneer. The onion kulcha was flavorful! Think classic naan stuffed with caramelized onion. A nice compliment to the sabzi malai. The samosa itself, classic crisp shell with a wonderful potato filling. And the chai itself had a strong chai and milk taste. Juicy pieces of lamb and a wonderful red tasty sauce. We also ordered Saag Panner. Creamy spinach with an exceptional taste. The nan were delicate, hot and fresh. Favorite place to get Indian food! I've only gotten take out but it looks like a beautiful place to dine. Everyone I've interacted with in there has been very friendly. Now, on to the food!! I normally order Chicken Tikka Masala, Lamb Vindaloo, and Saag Chicken. The Chicken Tikka Masala is a staple and needs no description other than it's deeply satisfying. The Lamb Vindaloo is my absolute favorite; I'm drooling just thinking about it. This is also the most comforting sauce in my opinion. Lastly, the Saag Chicken is another go to because the creaminess layering of flavor to enhance the spinach in the dish is unmatched. Each order comes with rice and can certainly be shared. They are very generous with the sauce so you'll always have extra which is why it's mandatory that you order Garlic Naan or Chili Garlic Naan to sop it all up! I have to say... took a gamble coming here on a what appeared to be a very strange night... A Saturday night in Hauppauge/Commack area. Restaurants are jumping. This is across the street from Patrizias and they were packed. This restaurant had 1 other person in it and large parking lot empty. I panicked, read reviews and said "seems good to me". The place is really nice. Obviously a take over from another type of place however long ago, but very nice and clean. My friend and I sat in the open atrium. We were greeted by a sweet waitress who was very kind and helpful. Then, the owner it manager came over and talked to us and helped us by offering samples of beer to pair with the food we were ordering. GREAT JOB!!!! Well, the food was authentic and FANTASTIC. My buddy and I were there for 3 hours. The seating was so comfortable and we were made to feel at home. Couldn't even notice nobody was there. It was a little quiet when we went & there was just one young man serving so it was a bit slow the service, but he was very welcoming and another server soon showed up. I tried a mango daiquiri & it was quite delicious!! The cocktail list is made up of old school classics & they also have beer & wine. I decided on the chicken korma and I loved! It! Very tender white meat chicken in a delicately seasoned sauce that was filled with warm spices. The rice was so fluffy and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Their naan bread is great too. I would say this restaurant is a hidden gem. It's situated in a plaza on motor parkway. Inside is very pretty with changing light strips on the ceiling. I particularly liked the picture of Ny on the wall. Adi was our server and well versed with the menu items also gave us a nice idea of trying something new. He was very attentive. The chicken vindaloo was delicious. We had eggplant and saag paneer also. The bread basket was fresh and delicious, I requested more garlic naan, couldn't help myself. We tried the Indian beers which was cold and refreshing. The mango lassi was tart very slightly sweet. The Califlower Gobi Manchurian was absolutely delicious! We visited Beenz Indian Restaurant today for the first time after reviewing various on-line reviews. My wife and I opted for their lunch buffet which had a nice selection of dishes. While the dishes were tasty, the temperature at which they were served was cold. Adding insult to injury was the fact that when we pointed this out to the owner, she made no effort to address this issue. It was only after we finished our meal that the sterno heaters were turned on. Also our server was virtually non-existent and we had to remind him to remove our spent plates. Never even brought water to our table. Had to chase him down for the check. Bottom line- while the decor is nice, we doubt that we will return to Beenz. Very disappointing experience. read more

Here's the Scoop: My honey and I came for dinner. Upon driving up there's a nice size parking lot with ample parking. The entrance has a small lobby with benches. The dining room opens to a full bar on your left and a outdoor enclosed seating area to your right. White tablecloths and soft hued lighting set the mood. Service is quick, accommodating and friendly. The menu is chock full of appetizers and entrees that sound so delicious. We ordered the. Shrimp Tandori and chicken (see pics) they were accompanied with a lovely light garlic Naan bread, white rice and a salad. Large portions and priced reasonably .Everything was so tasty but hot!! Next time we'll order mild. This was authentic and presentation was beautiful. Space is deceiving and can hold large groups. Decor complements space and could even be considered romantic. Our first visit to this restaurant was so extremely disappointing. We went for the buffet and EVERYTHING was barely luke warm. The owner was Very courteous when welcoming us and showed us the various items on the buffet. It was not until we had started to eat we noticed nothing was hit and complained. Apparently nothing was hot because they had not lit the sternos. We were not offered any sort of compensation when we complained so paid the bill and left. Later that evening I started to feel quite unwell which I now attribute to the food not being kept at a safe temperature. It might well have been an oversight on their part not lighting the sternos but I don't think I should have to pay to end up unwell. read more

Truly excited to find excellent Indian food right here in Hauppauge/Brentwood and not have to drive to Hicksville for this dining experience. Popped in for a business lunch and realized this used to be an Italian restaurant that I visited back in 1980 right after I graduated High School. Loved the layout with its small bar, its open room seating with crisp white tablecloths over tables and chairs, and was met by the engaging Hostess/Owner. Started off with a spot on Mango Lassi yogurt drink that had the right amount of sweet and sour pucker. First course was an amazing appetizer called Gobi Manhurian, which was sweet and spicy ried cauliflower fitters that sent my taste buds right over the fence in happiness. Main courses were a creamy delight of boneless chicken korma & white rice paired with a sizzling platter of properly spiced tandoori chicken on the bone. Portions were on the small side, but the prices were reasonable, the food came out hot, and the service was impeccable. A reasonable price fixe lunch and dinner menu was offered as was the full menu. A friend at work loves this place and picked it up for us one day. I ordered the Gongura Chicken and garlic naan. When I saw the size of it I was very disappointed. For 20 dollars I expected a bigger portion but received a container the size of a small soup from a Chinese take out place. The dish itself was tasty and spiced right but had bones in it which the menu neglected to mention. So a tiny dish for 20 bucks and 25% of it was bones. I am used to bones when I order lamb or goat but not chicken. The naan was good but nothing special so it in no way helped save my Beenz experience. They need to either lower the prices or give bigger portions. Clay Oven has better food in regards to both taste and portions so Beenz's needs to step up their game. read more
