Came here for the very first time today with my brother Peter and his daughter Kristina. Based on all the overwhelmingly positive reviews on social media, we decided to try the daily All You Can Eat Lunch Buffet for $24 per person. I'm 65 years old and have lived here on Long Island all my life in Suffolk, Nassau and Queens counties. I've been to many different restaurants over the years....and the Lunch Buffet at Saffire has to be hands down THE BEST dining experience that I've ever had in terms of FOOD, VALUE and absolutely the HOSPITALITY. It's great to be able to find such a new and wonderful Indian restaurant. THE FOOD: So let's start of first with food. An absolute 15 OUT OF 10 STARS!!! The Goat Meat was the most TENDER and TASTIEST I've ever had! The Tikka Marsala Chicken and Tandoori Chicken were also incredible. The Vegetable Samosas, Curried Spinach, Haka Noodles, Rice and Naan Bread...all were amazing!! And the Mango Lassi with Rose Petals was such a sweet and welcoming accompaniment. My niece and I always seem to end our hangouts with a great meal,and it's usually Indian food! I'm manifesting my trip to India soon! My favorite Indian restaurant is about a 30-minute drive away, so I wanted to find something closer to the beach we were visiting. We decided to try the lunch buffet here and loved everything! They told us they've only been open for about a year, and I really hope they succeed. I'm always happy to support and share when a restaurant is worth the trip. We had SUCH a lovely lunch, and the waitress was so super nice. From the cleanliness of the place, to the lovely cutlery it felt like a very upscale experience. I had a little bit of everything and thought it was super tasty. Not too heavy considering how much I ate! Everything was so delicious. My favorite was the ground chicken curry (don't know the name) and the Naan was buttery and perfect texture. I highly recommend this place and hope it stays in this location. Finally found the opportunity to stop by and try this place after seeing some great reviews. Location is fairly easy to get to, plenty of parking. Interior is very well designed. Staff are very nice and friendly. Ordered the chicken tikka masala, paneer tikka masala, saag paneer, dal makhani, garlic naan and the rosemary truffle naan. These naan options are really unique. Never seen truffle on a naan before. All the dishes were really well seasoned. Perfectly spiced with all warm spices really dancing on the taste buds. Omg!! I had to write this as I'm completely enjoying my absolutely delicious dinner!! I got delivery tonight and Wow!! I purchased the Alu Tikki appetizer (first time and imho better than their delicious samosas!) It is basically the potato filling from a samosa in a patty, so good! Then I go to my regulars that I order: Ali Gobhi- I think it's the best I've ever had!!! Goat Kadai-so delicious as usual!! Spicy rice- my new favorite rice dish! The flavors are decent. Very over priced for the quality. I think if they upgraded the quality and portion size it would be fine. We ordered appetizer chicken tikka which was literally quarter of a thigh on a skewer for $13. I chuckled when it came to the table. Its was Soooo small. $25 for curry is fine but the rice isn't included. I don't think that's fair. The naan was $6 which was also crazy. The flavors are there but the quality and prices aren't. The decor and vibe was modern, inviting & elegant. The food! Chefs kiss delicious! Went for the lunch buffet and tried almost everything & it was all excellent. Great ambiance. Good service. With respect to food, nothing stood out as most were typical run of the mill you find in any Indian restaurants. For a Fri night, place was 50% occupied in their main dining area but mostly by caucasians or non-desis. So definitely the food was served to their palate. In general, I don't dig restaurants that feel like the interior of an airplane hanger. However, I had to work down the block, & the local lunch options were VERY limited. Solid, standard Indian buffet fare. Nothing is spicy - you wld have to request raw chilies on the side. Very courteous staff, prompt service, & very clean inside. Special bonus - they randomly have fresh Trumer pils on tap - currently, the best Pilsner brewed in the US. Pairs most excellently with Indian food! read more

Relatively new Indian place with authentic meals. The drink was a good mix of sweet and spicy with the mango and jalapeños. Highly recommend the samosas, they were very yummy! 2026 Apr 11: we both had the lunch buffet as md ordered a mango lassi. The mango lassi looked like they had it made from scratch. The naan which is part of the buffer is excellent. Yogurt is very cooling too. I like the saag paneer too. Dishes in the lunch menu include white rice, fried noodles, samosa, saag paneer, chickpea curry, lentil, goat curry, tandoori chicken, chicken tikka masala, salad ( tomatoes, cucumber, green vegetables), naan, raita, rice pudding dessert. Really enjoyed dinner last evening. We go out to eat every Saturday and are getting bored with the same foods all the time. This was a fun place to try out new tastes. Drinks are delicious. I had a lychee mojito. Started with chicken skewer, and followed with lamb biryani. Excellent flavors. Service was amazing. Wow! You know when you try a new really good restaurant and find yourself talking about how good it was throughout the next day? That's Saffire. The entire dinner experience was delicious. Our party of 4 was uncertain at times, but followed the guidance of our expert waitress: samosas, garlic naan, chicken tikka masala, saag paneer, and lamb korma eaten with Peshwari rice. So yes. Originally this was a good restaurant run by Punjabi's and you could smell the food while still outside the restaurant around lunch time because usually when something is being cooked fresh the aroma should be in the air. In the last month I have been to this restaurant couple of different times just to make sure I was not wrong and during both occasions the original aroma was not there, the people are different now, although the staff has been instructed to not let people know that ownership has changed, its pretty obvious, the food quality looks to be stale and is probably cycled each day, so you may be eating something that is 3 days old. I requested to get "Butter Chicken" (cooked) but was pointed to the buffet - stating that it was already there and I could get it from there (its obvious they wanted to get rid of the buffet food that was probably getting old.) I forward paid in order for my guest to not pay and in the end when asked for check was told that there was no need because what I gave was enough. I think this was dishonesty. Bottom line if their food id good, it will bring people there is no need to cajole them in any ways. read more

We went with friends tonight to try this new Indian restaurant which opened a few weeks ago at the site of the former Il Toscano. We were excited to see an Indian restaurant in the neighborhood, since we usually have to travel for this cuisine. The space is very pretty and roomy and we were greeted warmly. There is also a very nice patio area for outdoor dining. We shared a few appetizers, shrimp in a spicy tamarind sauce and a delicious chicken wrap. I had the tandoori chicken trio, my husband had chicken vindaloo and our friends had chicken saag, with spinach. We also had Naan and paratha. Everything was delicious, flavorful and nice portions. They have fusion dishes, include some Nepalese apps and Hakka Chinese-Indian food, which I'm looking forward to trying when we go back. Service was very sweet and attentive. . They have a full liquor license too. Definitely a nice addition to the neighborhood. They have a few non South Asian dishes too, so if you have a group where some people don't like Indian food, there are choices for them. read more

This is our third time having dinner at Saffire. It is always a very pleasant experience. The staff is very welcoming and the food is absolutely delicious. We sat at the bar for happy hour and ordered everything off of the happy hour menu. Hindi music videos are playing on the televisions which adds to the whole experience. The Punjabi hummus is my favorite. It is creamy and flavorful but not too spicy. For dinner, we had two soups (mulligatawny and lamb shorba). My husband ordered his soup very spicy and he was not disappointed. We ordered the saag paneer and tikka masala chicken. Each dish has a very unique taste with its own special sauce. We finished off the meal with the mango pastry. Every time we go, we try something new. We have always been delighted by the bountiful flavors in each dish. A delightful experience and a surprisingly diverse menu. We were greeted cordially when we arrived and immediately served water and asked if we would like to order cocktails, which is much appreciated. We found the food to be of exceptionally high-quality and the spice which can be overwhelming at certain Asian restaurants was not too hot for our western pallets. A stellar experience. Went there for the first time, taking a friend to birthday dinner, and found myself going back two days later. (I can't stay away!) This is a gracious, welcoming and friendly spot with a vast and creative menu, warm, engaging and helpful waitstaff and just a general feelgood atmosphere. This is our new go-to spot for Indian food. We came here on Saturday for the buffet. There were a few waiters and a waitress. Some of the tables had dirty dishes and glasses on it the entire time we were there. The entrées for the buffet, the tops were all left open and everything was cool or warm. Nothing was hot. Many fires were not on underneath. It did not seem that it was being managed appropriately. The food was typical Indian food. My husband was disappointed that there was no goat, especially for the price of the buffet. It was $24 per person. This place may have a lot of potential if they do better with cleanliness, keeping the food very hot and fresh, everything seemed to be sitting out the entire hour we ate.
