And then there are people like me who like food who have to go to the gym to work off those extra calories or "treats" I like food a lot and therefore I am stuck going to a gym to keep in shape and to lose weight like the majority of the U.S. and world need to. But with the help of people like Frank the owner/ head trainer of TNT fitness you can do it. It's people like him.who will work with you either by kicking your butt, complimenting the small stuff, and reminding you to come back to the gym when it's so much easier to do other things then get into shape. My father started going back in 2000 and I started soon after. I love working out there, it's like a mini family, everyone is there for the purpose of getting into shape and getting it done quickly. Its nice to work out with plenty of people from all walks of life and no one sitting there kissing their biceps like you see at other private gyms. (shudder) Frank is a knowledgeable and pretty tough trainer. He is always the resource for nutrition, dieting, weight loss/gain, strength training, cardio, supplements, protein, and the list goes on. He will sit down with you from the beginning, do simple things like health history, past exercise routines that work for you, age related issues, and he will do a free session to get a feel for what you need. It's nice to have a trainer ask you what your goals are, how you can achieve them, and how he will and can help you do that. There's cardio equipment, weights and it's a real gym with pretty much everything you need. BTW Frank is moving into a bigger place with more activities being added so everyone who is an aerobics class junkie, a weightlifter, a person needing to lose weight, to a kid wanting to gain muscle or definition, anything you need fitness wise it will happen here. Another thing that is so great about TNT Fitness is that Frank will call you when you want to miss an appointment because well you just don't want to go to the gym, or you're tired sore etc. Frank doesn't yell or demean you, sorry Jillian fans. nor is he like Bob he's not going to hold your hand to make you put down the cheeseburger. Frank is a great trainer, he is supportive, helpful, and will tell you like it is. Whether you want to hear it or not is, well up to you. I have to say you will not regret coming through this door and starting the journey to getting into shape, eating healthy, and working to finding the better you. Do it!

In just two short weeks, I have learned a ton about proper technique while also losing a few pounds and inches off of my waist. In less than a month, I can already wear dress shirts that I had taken out of my rotation because I had gotten too heavy. I can also see my endurance improving rapidly. During my first personal training workout, I felt like I was going to pass out because I was so out of shape. Now, I'm powering through my workouts while still retaining proper form and technique. The atmosphere has a near-perfect mix of old-school and high-end anabolic/clean equipment. If you want to compete and be engulfed entirely in the bodybuilding environment, then 100% spend the $69 to get a membership. They also occasionally freeze adding new members, so as to avoid the gym ever feeling too busy (maintaining the "private gym" experience and community), which is amazing, and something I've never seen before. Cons: The price is $69 ($59 if you commit to 3 months, or $49 if you commit to 6 months) per month, which is quite the sum. There is also no two arm cable machine, save the large cable machine in the middle. This makes some sense, because this is supposed to be very old school bodybuilding-esc, so it's definitely something that I wouldn't necessarily say is a bad thing, but it's important to consider if you can't see yourself working out without that. Overall, if you can get past the price and want perhaps the best gym vibe around, this is absolutely 100% the place you HAVE to go to. The community is amazing so positive as well. I would love to compete one day, but I'm currently not in a position to afford that price, so I won't be going here beyond my three day free pass for the time being. If you can afford it, however, definitely don't miss out on this opportunity. It's something I'm not sure you can find anywhere else.

Besides the physical/training aspect of the sport, Coach Craig has helped me in developing the discipline and mindset required to train, handle anxiety, and perform at a highly competitive level, while also educating me on the equally important aspects of diet, sports nutrition, rest, recovery, and meditation. Craig has always focused on developing the proper foundations for fitness, focusing on proper form and performance of exercises, and not allowing anyone to lift weights heavier than what is appropriate for their level of fitness. He is very mindful of this to minimize the risk of injury to the athlete. I wholeheartedly recommend 5150 Sports Performance to help you achieve your fitness goals, whether it is to perform/complete in a sport, recuperate from an injury or surgery, or to simply to improve your overall fitness level.
