The bar is very slow and they rarely have the right ingredients. That's not why I'm posting a 1 star review. This was our first and and definitely our last visit to Anatolia Cafe & Hookah Lounge on May 2, 2026. I do want to say that our waitress was very pleasant and did her best throughout the situation. Unfortunately, the experience with the owner and the cook completely overshadowed her good service. We initially asked if we could substitute an item on a plate and were willing to pay an additional charge. What should have been a simple request turned into an unnecessary issue involving the cook and owner. After asking to speak with the owner, we were eventually told we could make the substitution, but only if it was for one one of the same items on the plate. Fine -- we agreed and moved on. Then my Greek salad arrived with a green bug sitting directly on the lettuce. When I brought it to the counter, where the waitress, owner, and cook were standing, the cook responded by saying, "We don't charge extra for the bug." The comment was incredibly rude and unprofessional. To make matters worse, the owner later changed what we had originally been told regarding substitutions, which created even more confusion and frustration. At that point, we were so irritated that we changed our order entirely. I truly felt bad for the waitress because she seemed embarrassed by the situation and tried to help, but there's only so much she can do when dealing with rude ownership and kitchen staff. read more

Wow! What a place of nostalgic memories. I was in the downtown area for another event and told my wife while we are parked in the area, we might as well hit up our old stomping grounds...Anatolia's! As it is located near/on the premises of Georgia State University (which is my Alma mater), I used to frequent this location MANYYYYY times. They've always had great food, good drinks, good hookah, good music, ALL for good prices. The Parking: As I said, this location is downtown, so you'll likely have to pay somewhere nearby (in a lot or on the street) for parking. Depending on how late it is, there's free street parking but definitely be expected to pay for parking. The Atmosphere: Great chunes! Chunes from the 90's and 2000's. They also have a lot of tables with space upstairs as well. Several TV's if you want to watch a game. The Service: The service was great! Our waiter was amazing. The Food: I ordered Chicken Gyro Wrap - $11 (Wrapped in Pita, Topped with Tzatziki Sauce) and a Seafood Wrap - $12 (Fried Shrimp and Scallops, Jalapeno Tartar Sauce). All served with Fries. I ordered the Anatolia Jumbo Chicken Wings which ate served in portions of 6,10 and 20 with a price point of $10, $13 and $22 respectively. I also got a hookah (Peach Mint flavor - recommended by Jackie my awesome server) so so fitting , first time experiencing this, boy was I in for a surprise ! This was definitely a great vibe to start off my visit. The wings were juicy, flavored well, and came with celery and carrot sticks (battonets),dedinitwly Jumbo! If you are looking for good drinks, Mediterranean food and hookah then this is a good spot to add to your go to list. Their prices are unbeatable right now in comparison to similar places. I have been quite a few times and they have all been pleasurable experiences overall. The hummus is really good although they have a tendency to overheat the pita bread. I have also had the lamb and chicken and I must say they are really good especially for the price. The meat was juicy and full of flavor. The service however is a hit or miss. I've been on a couple of occasions where our waitress was no where to be found and continuously forgot our request. The last occasion, the place was not even busy but she gave us specific excuses that just didn't align with what our eyes were seeing. However, she did give us a free refill on our hookah. Parking can be a challenge as they do not have a dedicated lot. I would recommend Uber/lyft.m but if that's not any option then street parking is inexpensive when if you go before 7pm(4.25 for 2hrs) and free afterwards. You may have to make a few rounds tho. There is a public lot for parking but it pushes 20 bucks and is couple of blocks away. All and all, Anatolia is definitely on my go-to list and would recommend to any one. read more

I've been here a few times and normally the experience is good. On this last visit I can't say the same. 1st thing is my order came out wrong. 2) Ordered a sprite as a drink and it was nothing but carbonated water. 3) The waiter took my drink, but never returned with another. 4) After 10-15 minutes I finally get my drink and sadly this would be the only drink I have the entire time. The guy never checked in on the table nor did he ever offer a refill. I like to think I'm a decent tipper, but he deserved nothing. He actually spent the entire time at a table next to where I was sitting talking about school and what we he's trying to major in. My friend had never Hookah'd before and she felt that the environment was fun & comfortable. I had the best hookah-head after we left (no headache, no nausea--only goodness).
