Between checking reviews on Yelp & videos on tik tok. I chose this place for dinner while in ATL . I needed a lil bit of ratchet but a lot of chill. IYKYK! It is reservation only but when I called the #, i got an AI assistant who answered my questions. I was told that they typically keep a couple tables open for walk ins. I'm assuming they have valet parking bc it was a lot of cars to left of the restaurant and cones. There was some street parking that I was able to score without having to pay a meter. Someone had missed their reservation so we was able to get a table ! Our server was Tae and she did real good ... up until the end when she was nowhere to be found. It took a while for drinks but it's okay. I got the Tuscan chicken ,a side of mac, & a Caesar salad. I wish the Salad came out first but not complaining . The food was DELICIOUS! The Mac n cheese was on point. My husbands wings were good too! He ended up finding a drink in his cocktail which unsettled him. We waited so long when for the waitress so we can get her attention for boxes and a check and to address the drink . That was my only bad gripe . Hookahs are $40. And drink prices were decent . I also heard that they have a pretty food happy hour.

Really great service. Bar with indoor and outdoor seating. Happy hour 5-8p with great pricing. My options for food (crab cake & fried cauliflower) were really good. I paired with the happy hour lemon drop & margarita. My food was 1/2 off for happy hour totaling about $45 for 2 apps & 2 drinks. Clean restrooms. I have to come back in the summer to go to the cabanas out back.

I dropped into 42 Bar and Grill with a friend of mine that was in town for work. I know that this used to be called something else-the name is escaping me at the moment. I was surprised it was very quiet for a Wednesday night. Service was very attentive and quick. I indulged in a Peach Old Fashioned which was crafted very well and brought tableside with the smoker still in place. My friends enjoyed hookah and their food (I think they had onion rings and a chopped cheese). I heard no complaints from them so I assumed all was good! I will be back soon.

I've visited this place several times, and each visit has been enjoyable. The red snapper bites and Brussels sprouts are my absolute favorites -- both are delicious! Honestly, everything I've tried so far has been good. Someone in my party did mention that the oxtail pizza wasn't great, but overall, the food has been consistently solid. The music is usually at a nice volume, perfect for actually having a conversation without shouting. The service has been great on every visit -- attentive, friendly, and welcoming. This spot has definitely become one of my go-to places for happy hour. And as a true NEW YORKER I def appreciate the wall art that's outside. Def a plus for me.

I was looking for somewhere in Atlanta that wasn't too crowded, and 42 Bar turned out to be a great choice. My waiter was a little slow with the service, but the food made up for it. I had the fried salmon bites with grits and the fried catfish with grits--both were excellent. I'm usually not a big fan of French toast, but theirs was definitely a winner.

The food was good and what started as a good night slowly turned to a lack luster experience. The service wasn't the greatest but it also wasn't the worst. The smoked wings were good, I got 12 and did a flavor split between buffalo teriyaki and a hot honey flavor. Food came out quickly and all at once. The drinks we ordered came out after the food. There was a hair in my drink. The waitress offered to replace it along with removing it from the bill but I was turned off at this point due to waitress wait times and the hair made me feel queasy. I think I'd only come back to partake in happy hour.

My friends and I stopped by 42 Bar and Grill for happy hour, and it was such a great experience! The service was fantastic--attentive and efficient, ensuring we could make the most of happy hour. We tried a variety of cocktails around the table, and each one was well-crafted and delicious. Around the table we tried a variety of different menu items: Oxtail Pizza ($24): Smoked oxtail with a sweet chili base, mozzarella, provolone, peppers, and onions. It was a unique and flavorful combination--definitely a standout and must try! Chopped Cheese ($15): An NYC bodega classic done right! The angus patty was seasoned to perfection, chopped and mixed with grilled onions, and served on a toasted hoagie with all the classic toppings. The sweet potato fries on the side were crispy and golden. Blackened Salmon ($24): Perfectly cooked salmon over a rich Cajun cream sauce with garlic mashed potatoes--absolutely delicious. Since then, we've been back for happy hour and tried the Sweet Thai Chili Wings, Lemon Pepper Wings, Lamb Chops, and Brussel Sprouts. Everything has been consistently amazing, and the vibe is always fun and inviting. 42 Bar and Grill has become one of our go-to spots for happy hour, and we'll definitely be back soon! Highly recommend checking it out if you're in the area.

42 bar and grill was a cute and small establishment. We went during happy hour and got half off appetizer, $5 drinks and $25 hookah. The bartender was cool, but the hookah person was hard to locate when we needed a refill. That chicken with the hot honeyyyyy‍ 10/10

Food was room temperature except macaroni and cheese. Service was piss poor at the bar..

We just happened to finally try the place and were pleasantly surprised. Got there during happy hour and it was read to us kinda hard to remember so can't specify which ones were on the special. Lemon drops for $5 We had the salmon bites crab cakes and some bites with Brussel sprouts. The hookah was great and food definitely was filling options came out quick and most of all still hot! Space is nice vibe music and service was pretty consistent, not the friendliest but takes some warming up as well. Will be returning

Lychee Martini (L), Kettle One (Mid) & Smoked Peach Old Fashion
    Stan M.

After a long day of traveling our friend brought us here for a cocktail and lite bites. I started off with a Smoked Peach Old Fashion, my second one was a normal old fashion made perfectly, it was good but just a tad too sweet for me. My friend got the Lychee Martini and loved it. We ordered there 50 cent wings Garlic Parmesan, Teriyaki Chili and Smoked wings. They all tasted great, the smoked ones had a good flavor and the skin was cooked perfectly. The vibe inside is baseball related for # 42 Jackie Robinson. Decor was nice, they had a hookah bar off to the side. Our waitress Jordan was fantastic.

Daughter took me here for a birthday dinner and the food was excellent. The valet parking wasn't pricey which they can tend to be. The ambiance was nice (even though the table was unstable and kept shaking), hookah was very flavorful, drinks were strong yet not expensive and the food was flavorful. Restrooms were okay but needed a little cleaning (just picking up of paper towels that someone had thrown on the floor and crouching up stalls. Can't forget our waitress was very friendly and attentive.

My friend and I went here for happy hour 5-8p. Food did not disappoint. Drinks did not disappoint. Ambiance is chill vibes, mellow. Service at the bar was great. Our server/bartender was very attentive and quick. Little hidden gem on a Thursday evening. As I am typing this I am lit. The $5 happy hour lemon drops (you can get any flavor) are fire. I had peach, passion fruit, and mango flavored ones. Ended up having 4 total. I had good left overs to go because the portions are a nice size.

Super attentive without hovering, gave spot-on recommendations, and was playful, funny, and genuinely kind. You can tell she loves meeting people, and it made the whole table feel celebrated. Food was way better than I expected for a hookah lounge. Get the oysters - fresh and perfect - and the pesto garlic bread is a must. Seriously addictive. And the hookah? SLAPS. Smooth, flavorful, and they keep it going without you having to ask. The ambiance is very Atlanta in the best way: flowery walls for photos, eclectic cozy seating, great music, dim lighting, total vibe. We stayed way longer than planned because we didn't want to leave. Already planning my return. If you're in Sandy Springs, book a table here!

Five stars isn't enough for Moustache Hookah Bar…read more From the moment I sat down, the vibe was warm, welcoming, and intentional. But let's talk about the food because it deserves its own spotlight. The hummus was unbelievably fresh. Smooth, rich, perfectly balanced with olive oil and seasoning. You can taste that it's made with care, not just scooped from a container. And the jajeh kabobs? Tender, juicy, and seasoned all the way through. Every bite had that straight-off-the-grill flavor that makes you pause mid-conversation just to appreciate it. What really took the night over the top was the hospitality. The owner heard it was my birthday and didn't just send a quick "happy birthday" from afar. He came out from the back himself, brought out complimentary cheesecake, and even took a couple shots of tequila with me. That's not customer service. That's genuine celebration. Great food. Smooth hookah. Real hospitality. I walked in for dinner and left feeling like family. If you're looking for a spot that feeds you well and celebrates you loud, this is it.

Intro *Full…read moreDisclosure* We only came to this place for hookah and drinks. After grabbing food and drinks nearby, a few friends and I were looking for a place to keep the party going. Enter #HouseOfHookah Ambiance/Vibe The vibe gives very much "club"/"lounge." If you're looking for a spot with a semi-after hours feel, that's dark with low cool/warm lights (blues, reds, etc.), and chill, you've found yourself in the right place. And, as the name suggests, there is hookah - no shortage of it. I don't, however, recall the cost or options, etc, but I think it was fairly extensive. The music was good, from what I recall. 4/5 Service Service was... fine. Nothing outstanding. Just ok. However, it was a hassle just getting in with the different unknown, unposted rules. Unfortunately, I don't recall the specifics, but I just remember it being more complicated/involved than it should be for this establishment. 3/5 Food We didn't order food, nor do I recall even seeing that there was food available, but according to their Google, there are at least light bites available. N/A Drinks This place does NOT sell nor serve alcohol. You, however, are allowed to bring your own liquor in, but there are some rule(s) surrounding it, soi suggest you swing by and get the full specifics before you show up with your liquor. This played into the issue with service. It felt like the rules were being divulged one at a time. Almost like "here is rule 1", then you do whatever it takes to comply, and then it's like, "Oh, but you can't do that because of rule 2, which is..." It just felt overly complicated and unnecessarily, so, again, for a spot that just serves hookah... N/A Final Verdict 3/5 would not recommend. NOT Lord Wellington Approved. I would only recommend going to this place if you fall into 1 of 2 categories: 1) you are either not a drinker or not drinking at the moment or, 2) you're a college student and shouldn't be drinking. While you can bring your own liquor, you had to buy cups, mixers, ice, etc. It's just a hassle if you're looking to wind down your night with a cocktail and a little hookah, having to go through extra steps (particularly at the time considering you would likely be coming after midnight). Not my cup of tea, so I'd personally never return unless things changed.

A group of us came to hang out, celebrate a friends birthday, and watch the game. It was 10 of us…read more Before half of our group even sat down for a minute, an employee rushed over and said that for every two people, you must order a hookah, or pay $15 a person. We hadn't even had a chance to look at a menu. He was terribly rude. We all planned to order hookahs, but were not even given a chance too before they assumed we wouldn't. The attitude of the employee angered us and half of our group left. The rest of us ordered the required amount of hookahs. It gets worse. The last hookah we ordered never came out. We had to wait over 30 minutes for it because they forgot about it. We had to ask about it three times. So they rushed us and then forgot a hookah. We have been to HofH several times and never had an issue. We do not plan to return with this type of service allowed. The ladies restroom was clogged and was out of order the entire time we were there. Also, the music was going in and out the entire time as they are in need of a sound system. I hope they make some changes or they will continue to lose customers.
