If you're looking for a spot with a semi-after hours feel, that's dark with low cool/warm lights (blues, reds, etc.), and chill, you've found yourself in the right place. And, as the name suggests, there is hookah - no shortage of it. I don't, however, recall the cost or options, etc, but I think it was fairly extensive. The music was good, from what I recall. 4/5 Service Service was... fine. Nothing outstanding. Just ok. However, it was a hassle just getting in with the different unknown, unposted rules. Unfortunately, I don't recall the specifics, but I just remember it being more complicated/involved than it should be for this establishment. 3/5 Food We didn't order food, nor do I recall even seeing that there was food available, but according to their Google, there are at least light bites available. N/A Drinks This place does NOT sell nor serve alcohol. You, however, are allowed to bring your own liquor in, but there are some rule(s) surrounding it, soi suggest you swing by and get the full specifics before you show up with your liquor. This played into the issue with service. It felt like the rules were being divulged one at a time. Almost like "here is rule 1", then you do whatever it takes to comply, and then it's like, "Oh, but you can't do that because of rule 2, which is..." It just felt overly complicated and unnecessarily, so, again, for a spot that just serves hookah... N/A Final Verdict 3/5 would not recommend. NOT Lord Wellington Approved. I would only recommend going to this place if you fall into 1 of 2 categories: 1) you are either not a drinker or not drinking at the moment or, 2) you're a college student and shouldn't be drinking. A group of us came to hang out, celebrate a friends birthday, and watch the game. It was 10 of us. Before half of our group even sat down for a minute, an employee rushed over and said that for every two people, you must order a hookah, or pay $15 a person. We hadn't even had a chance to look at a menu. He was terribly rude. We all planned to order hookahs, but were not even given a chance too before they assumed we wouldn't. The attitude of the employee angered us and half of our group left. The rest of us ordered the required amount of hookahs. It gets worse. The last hookah we ordered never came out. We had to wait over 30 minutes for it because they forgot about it. We had to ask about it three times. So they rushed us and then forgot a hookah. We have been to HofH several times and never had an issue. We do not plan to return with this type of service allowed. The ladies restroom was clogged and was out of order the entire time we were there. Also, the music was going in and out the entire time as they are in need of a sound system. Came here Friday night. Looks small from outside , but opens up on you walk in . Parking isn't great I parked in the back and walked up or you could park in the front or near subway. So we walked in they checked our ID you walk in there's a large sitting area in the front with chairs to sit. If you look to the left you can see the DJ. Playing good music mix of r n b and rap music. So they had huge selection of hookah ! It was a lot to choose from ! The hookah person was nice and helpful and you can pay with Apple Pay or card or cash. We got our hookah fast and it was good. Only thing , they don't serve food or drinks ! Music not too loud they don't have alcohol you can bring your own. The food you order it in your phone and they bring it to you and they cook it next door. With my go to hookah spot closing soon and the well regarded Sivas having an hour long wait, my buddies and I needed a hookah option with reasonably late hours. A quick Yelp search showed House of Hookah and was nearby and open until 3am, so we headed over. On arrival, security patted us down and informed us we had to transfer the beers we brought into plastic cups and then bring those inside. Despite other reviews mentioning that cups had to be purchased we fortunately weren't charged, but the whole process seemed a little sketch. The main smoking area feels like a lounge with dance music, club lighting, and leather seats. Despite how large that room is, my party of four could not find any space, so we set up shop in the slightly quieter (and somewhat dirtier) coffee shop section out front. Note that House of Hookah forces you to buy one hookah ($25ish per) for every two members of your party regardless of how many people are smoking. We thus ended up spending around $50, which is quite steep. Hookahs arrived promptly despite how busy the place was. Our first bowl, citrus mist, came topped with three natural coals which made the bowl easy to start but burned the tobacco quickly and made for an okay smoke. Ditto for the blue mist which wasn't packed as well and thus tasted burnt from the start. We barely touched that one and the second, forced hookah purchase was thus a total ripoff. We tend to order one large hookah for four smokers, so I truly can't imagine coming here with a large party without running up a huge tab for essentially wasted hookah. The overall smoking experience was around three stars but the super high prices and weird BYO policy makes for a downgrade to two. read more

When we got there we pulled directly in the front (there was space for at least 2 more cars to park) we were told we couldn't park there and had to park behind the building. The "security" (2 guys) were hanging out front on the other cars so we assumed parking in the front is for employees and/or friends/family. Parked in the back, as we are walking up a short hill to get back to the front, 2 guys sitting inside of a car talking to a group of women yell out that it's $5 to park. Little confused because they don't have on anything that would remotely say they work for HOH nor were they in the parking area we parked in behind the building but across the street in another parking area behind a different building. It's gets worse. Walked in. Just as a lot of other reviews mentioned, you pretty much have to go to the counter for service because aside from the actual hookahs, they won't bring your drinks or food to you. Without drawing this review out even further, if you don't take anything else from this review---- their security is selective in who's patted down & searched. They are selective in who enters with weapons and who does not. They show preferential treatment towards patrons who are most likely family or friends. There was an altercation inside between 2 other patrons which could have resulted in people getting hurt or far worse. We ended up leaving after I demanded a refund (they gave it to us after trying to argue about it smh). If you're into "hood" sh*t, this is your place. House of Hookah is pretty good at what they do, which is serve up hookahs with a wide assortment of shisha (tobacco) flavors. Note: I don't smoke hookah often, so I don't have much to compare them to. House of Hookah is located in a small building it shares with Subway and Wasabi Grill. Inside, the space is smokey, long, and narrow. There isn't much to this place. It's like they threw together a bunch of tables, chairs, and couches from IKEA and called it a day. There are a couple wall-mounted HD flatscreens in the back playing ESPN, so that's always a plus. There's one unisex restroom and I'd say the entire place can seat upwards of 30 to 40 people comfortably. House of Hookah has over 40 different shisha flavors to choose from. They're categorized as follows: Classic ($12 each) - peach, pineapple, strawberry, etc. Exotic ($15 each) - apple martini, blackberry vanilla, etc. Arabian Mixes ($15 each) - grape mint, pomegranate mint, etc. In addition, you can add a fruit to the top of your hookah ($20+) and combine it with any mixture of flavors. I recommend getting one of the fruit tops as the price of the fruit top includes your choice of flavor(s). Don't mix too many flavors, though. Two or three is enough. I think the pineapple fruit top with peach mango flavor is a good combination. House of Hookah also has a small food menu (snacks and sweet bites) and canned and bottled beverages, though no alcohol. On busy nights, they have about three people working and service is generally pretty good. On weekend nights, the place is packed. Parking is available directly outside the building and the spaces are quite snug. You can park next door in the Islamic Center's parking lot at night after it's closed. I was told by one of the House of Hookah employees to not park across the street in the old Bobby and June's lot as cars can get towed from there. read more

The setup was not at all ideal, the staff was rude and not very helpful at all, not to mention the music was played off a phone so the songs often replayed until changed. I arrived around 11:30 to relax & yet found that to be the last thing that i was able to do. I wouldn't suggest this be a place anyone visits in general. Atlanta is filled with many hookah spots with better customer service & with a more professional staff & setup. It just seemed like no one cared. We asked for Tongs for the hookah because they put 3 big coals on the hookah and it was starting to taste burnt. He disappears for 10 mins, we see him bring out a hookah refill for a table then leaves again to bring tongs to the table next to us. While he's walking past us he's like "give me 5mins , I'll be right over" I replied my hookah gonna be burnt by then. So he tells his table hold on.. comes over takes off one coal and walks off. I went to ask if it was possible to get a different flavor because the bowl that was made for us taste terrible. I was told yes, but that I had to pay $17 for it. I don't like smoking hooka in a furniture warehouse. This place lacked the ambiance, quality and comfort which are essential for a good hooka session. Came at night on a weekday. Spotted the HH neon sign, finesse midtown parking- HH has a free lot. Main lobby is a brightly lit coffee shop! Behind the coffee shop is a sprawling hooka section. You order & pay at the register. Our mighty freeze was bad from the start. My date didn't bother to bring it to anyone's attention (so unattractive)... We made small talk in their low hard black love seats. House of hookah is a chill hookah spot I love coming to. They have made a lot of changes and upgrades over the past year. They have built a small coffee shop right in front of the building and the hookah lounge part is in the back. This place is what you make it. Many people criticize it for the lack of ambiance or scenery but it has the essentials, hookah, soft drinks, and WiFi. The hookah price depends on the day of the week. On the weekends it is priced at 22$ (2 people per hookah) and during the week it's only $20. I'm not sure if it's okay, but they don't mind you bringing in outside food or drinks as long as you don't overdue it and purchase a hookah. Parking varies on the day and time as well. They have a small designated parking area in the front and there is public parking on the side and in the back of the building. Sometimes they play their own music or they allow someone to put their phone on the speak. I would recommend this place for someone just looking to create their own vibe, hang out with a friend or two, and or get some work done on your laptop. I always enjoy supporting local businesses in ATL but I was pretty disappointed with this venue. Firstly, we were looking for a place to hangout during the holidays and this was the only place still open late night so kudos for that (1 star) I personally do not smoke hookah but still had to pay a 10$ entry charge to just sit around with my group. I do understand they have rent to cover yada yada yada but maybe this pricing per person will be more fair if they offer a bottled drink complimentary with entry for those that do not smoke or for each person. It's a cheap ineffective way to keep customer loyalty and not making them feel done in by the end of the night. The business side of me just says this isn't really customer oriented pricing. This really does seem like a warehouse and probably is actually I can't remember so late at night. The ventilation was pretty bad and I am not a fan of the seating arrangements or decor. This place is legit just to go in and smoke hookah and talk you can't really do much in here I don't see any type of lighting or anything. It's just a smoke spot. Ever since my first experience with hookah in college, I've been a fan of hookah. Now, I'm a huge fan of House of Hookah! I had heard of House of Hookah time and time again, but I also knew that they didn't serve alcohol. For many of my friends, there is "no point" in smoking hookah if you can't drink while doing so. I, on the other hand, don't mind this so much but think that it would attract more customers who wouldn't even think to visit without alcohol. It would be awesome if they allowed BYOB! Two of my friends and I finally made it a point to check out House of Hookah one Friday evening. As others have mentioned, parking at this building is super scarce. I highly recommend getting to the building before 7 pm, especially on busy nights like Fridays and weekends. I was lucky that there was an open spot at the side of the building where Subway is located, but it was a tricky (and narrow!) spot. As soon as we walked in and were seated, one of my friends and I knew which flavor we wanted to get. We ordered my favorite hookah flavor, Blue Mist (Starbuzz). However, our server informed us that if the three of us wanted to share the hookah, we would either have to get another hookah or a fruit top (an extra $3). We agreed to get a fruit top, and we chose the grapefruit per our server's suggestion. * Blue Mist w/Grapefruit top ($18) - This tobacco has a sweet blueberry flavor with a minty aftertaste. Yummy! Our server told us that the hookah would typically last about an hour or two, but we found that ours actually lasted much longer! We seriously smoked that thing for a solid three hours straight, and we had to pull ourselves away so that we could stop because it was STILL pretty good. Although I never caught his name, our server was excellent. Service at House of Hookah in general was wonderful. The employees were friendly, and they were so generous with their coals! We didn't feel rushed AT ALL or given any looks for not ordering anything else the entire time. During the three hours that we were there, our coals were probably replaced three times! It was funny that the server offered to replace our coal again when we were getting ready to leave. Yes, they are THAT awesome! Overall, House of Hookah easily gets 4.5 stars for their wonderful service and amazing hookah! Additionally, YAY for no "minimum per person" charges as some hookah lounges require. Unfortunately, I had to knock off 1/2 a star because of the poor parking situation. That's the main drawback of going to House of Hookah, so carpool if possible! My friends and I will definitely be back for more hookah very soon. =) P.S. Although I didn't bring my laptop with me, there were actually some people who were smoking hookah solo while using their laptops.
