I stopped by here early on a workday, before heading to a nearby meeting. When I first walked up, I thought it was closed, as there was no one there, I didn't see anyone behind the counter, and it seemed the lights were off. However, when I walked in, I saw the staff sitting in the corner. I would have loved to see this place during peak times, as it did seem like it had plenty of seating and some couches to hand out on. I wanted to try one of the specialty drinks advertised on the board but she stared at me for a moment and then said "why don't you just order a regular coffee?" and walked away. Came in with my bf as we had just moved to Robinson looking for a new coffee shop. I love coffee and we are both bodybuilders so we typically just drink black with sugar free syrup and on the weekends we drink an iced latte still with sugar free syrup, first we came in. The shop has a cute unique vibe and the coffee wasn't too expensive which was nice but. They were serving orams donuts and there were a couple flies flying in the pastry case and landing on the donuts which turned me off.... The coffee had extremely fruity notes which made it not really enjoyable as it didn't pair well with syrups. Maybe it's different if you can't taste the actual coffee if you get one of their full sugary specialty drinks but I prefer to taste the coffee even with some milk in it. I do really enjoy coming to this coffee shop. It is close to my house and the coffee is very good. It is located on Fifth Ave on the right hand side. Sometimes when I stop in, I allow the barista to make whatever she wants because I honestly like it all. The vibes in here are perfect for me. There are many seating options, but of course the couch is my favorite. It is a great place to connect with friends or do some work. There is free Wi-Fi which is a plus! It is never too loud and the baristas are super kind. They open glass garage door in the summer for unique indoor/outdoor seating. I love sitting at the bar looking out to the street while enjoying a flavorful iced coffee. My absolute favorite drink is the Parking Chair. It is the perfect amount of coffee, sweetness, and cream. It is an iced drink, which I can enjoy all year round, even in the winter!! There are many flavors of tea if coffee is not your thing. There are also different flavors biscotti's and a couple different breakfast foods (see menu). On Saturdays, they get Oram's donuts. I believe you can preorder them by simply calling the shop. These donuts are amazing. There is also non-dairy milk! The whole coffee shop and single person bathrooms are always clean when I stop in. I recommend trying out this local coffee shop! read more

I stopped by here this past Sunday with my wife for our morning coffee. We were doing an airport drop off and so decided to look for local coffee options nearby. A dearth of them near Robinson had us dropping over the hill to check out Anchor and Anvil. We had been to their Avalon location many years before but never to this one. It's located right on 5th Avenue in the middle of the Coraopolis business district. The shop itself is fairly large with a bunch of seating in the front and then a place to order in the back. For my coffee on this morning, I went with a large oatmilk latte while my wife went with the cookie table. The menu described the cookie table as caramel swirl, vanilla sugar, espresso, steamed milk and both white and dark chocolate. Since it wasn't too busy inside, we both had our coffee and were on our way in under 5 minutes. Once my drink had cooled a bit, I was able to try it. It ended up being pretty good as you could really taste the coffee and the oatmilk. The coffee itself was strong and rich and what I especially liked about the oatmilk here was that it wasn't sweet at all and just gave off a nice oat flavor. My wife thought that hers was very good. The bottom line for me is that I would stop by here again in the future. My wife and I both enjoyed our coffees here and if you go here on Saturdays, you can order Orams doughnuts too. read more

Arrived mid-morning on a Tuesday and the place was empty. Went up to order and it seemed like it was painful for the staff to say "hi". Despite it being empty, and some tables that needed to be cleaned, the two staff members sat behind the counter staring at their phones. Went to sit in the couch area and both the couch and coffee table were covered in crumbs. I went to grab my order and it felt as if I was annoying the staff by being there. If this place didn't get Oram's donuts on Saturdays it'd be dead. The coffee is okay and it's a really nice location (Coraopolis) but the staff doesn't really seem to care about whether or not they work there. If there's a lull people coming in they just stand around on their phones while tables sit dirty and sidebar for cream and sugar is a mess. They're neither friendly or unfriendly, just uninterested. If you order hot food it'll come out cold from time to time so check before you bite into it. If you say anything about it they will correct the mistake but they make it feel like such a non-issue. No willingness to be better. I'm not expecting fake happiness and ass kissing. Just some actual effort. I'll wait a few more weeks before going back again. read more

Wife and have been meaning to stop here since we drove past it last summer after breakfast at Tootsies. Glad finally did. While in Mexico two weeks ago, we would stop at a coffee shop on the resort each morning after breakfast for a latte. Well, we're planning on continuing that now that we're home (Saturday only) and Anchor & Anvil was the perfect place to start. Their lattes were really good. Great flavor and no sweetener required. My husband and I decided to check this place out . I love little coffee shops and this was a pleasant surprise. Excellent atmosphere with great coffee choices. My husband ordered a coffee that was half chocolate milk, half coffee. He loved it. I ordered a vanilla cappuccino and also was extremely pleased. It even had a cute little design on it as well. One thing I really liked, was that we were asked if it was "for here" or "to go". We advised "for here" and we actually got served our beverages in mugs/cups. We will be returning. Has great atmosphere, coffee was good. Creamer needed to be chilled not just in a thermos. Maybe more flavor choices would be nice too. When you're eating in and order a bagel toasted with butter it should be buttered, not frozen or very hard butter on the side. When you ask for a tip, do something. Idk like bring my bagel to me not just call out bagel and have to get it when you are the only people waiting for an eat in order. Could be so much more. Coraopolis is a cute town and you have a gem. Make it worthy and people will flood this business. Bake goods on Saturday seemed minimal (if there was more have the girls or counter person promote the heck out of them) they have a great reward program but without something to go back for, it could be a flop. First time there and I will come back but if I don't see some joy there I won't go a third time. read more

I'm so excited there is now a really good coffee shop relatively close to my house lol Clean, modern aesthetic, comfortable atmosphere. They use MadCup coffee, which is roasted somewhere in Michigan, I think. I got a cup of the coffee they had on drip, black. Some medium roast I can't remember the name of, but it was good for being drip. If only they served French press. (perhaps they do upon request? I'd pay extra for that) My boyfriend got an iced vanilla latte which was awesome. We also got breakfast sandwiches which were REALLY good. We will definitely be going back! Love the vibe of this coffee shop! I've gotten an iced latte and an iced matcha latte before, and both were great. The store is open and spacious and has really great natural lighting. If you're here on a nice day, it's a really pleasant place to do some work. Good coffee bar with nice decor. They open garage doors in warm days for open air but shaded seating. Not a lot to eat though (scones, bagels and fruit smoothies). With a little more expanded food menu, 5 stars. I very much enjoyed my Americano and mango smoothie. Scone was good too although not made on site. read more
