I really liked the hot decaf mocha! It was the best mocha I've had in a while. But, I've also tried the iced matcha and it was sweetened, watery milk (that's all I can say).... barely green. The seating inside is nice and it's a great place to chat or just study/chill. They also have store merch you could purchase like tumblers! read more

Great local spot with a lot of love and family put into it! The inside and outside seating is so cute and lovely to relax or do work. Their coffee specials all looked amazing and creative, while the few bites and pastries hit the spot. Especially liked the oatmeal cream pie, the cookies were spot on while the frosting, a little overly sweet, but still solid. The staff were quick and very nice, and the ambiance was nice and relaxed! Maxine's Coffee is a little out of the way for us in Cranberry Township, but it was on the route to our destination, and honestly worth the stop. I went with my usual iced London fog with almond milk and vanilla syrup, which was perfect. I was also in the mood for something to munch on and decided to try their chocolate chip bar ($5). At first I was a little skeptical about it, but it turned out to be both crumbly and soft with just the right amount of richness. The touch of salt flakes on top gave it that sweet-and-salty bite. I wish I lived closer to this adorable little coffee shop! It was love at first sight! My husband and I stopped in to grab a mid afternoon drink. My husband got a hot green tea with honey, and I got a hot chocolate. My husband is usually worried getting a tea at a coffee shop, but he said this was the best he ever had! He said the honey was great and it was seeped long enough to get the best flavor. The hot chocolate was something of excellence. Go try it! I really loved the seasonal drinks, they had quite of a variety of drink options, as well as seasonal food items as well. For my visit today I had the blueberry cobbler chai and the chocolate chip pumpkin bread. The chai was incredibly flavorful and pretty rich in flavor, and the pumpkin bread was moist full of chocolate chips, and a big portion as well. Located in the Streets of Cranberry retail plaza, it's a convenient location to take a break from shopping in the plaza's retail stores (clothing mostly, jewelry)+restaurants. There is plenty of parking and something unique is there is a centralized shaded covered outdoor seating area space. We sat inside despite it being an unseasonably warm (60F) winters day in February. The limited menu offers interesting flavor combinations for its coffee offerings. There are also baked good offerings. The service was very friendly. And the space was clean and bright. I've stopped by here twice now, most recently yesterday morning with my wife and kids. While we normally try to hit up local coffee shops every Sunday, we happened to be in cranberry on this Saturday and my wife and I both wanted coffee. Maxine's is located in the shops in Cranberry . On the inside there is a place to order which has some pastries inside of cloches. Besides that the rest is pleasant with dark hardwood floors, marble top tables and some wooden backed booths. Beyond that you can also sit outside with some nice areas that are presumably shared with all of the shops at cranberry. For our coffees on this morning I decided to go with a hot steel city latte while my wife went with an iced cherry blossom latte. On my previous visit I had actually had the cherry blossom hot. The menu described the cherry blossom as a cherry and vanilla latte with whipped cream and the steel city latte as a cinnamon almond torte latte. My steel city latte here was good and I definitely got almond from it but maybe not as much cinnamon as I had hoped. As had also happened with the cherry blossom latte in my previous visit, I couldn't really taste my coffee in the drink although it was clearly there. Depending on who you are and what you preferences are on the day, that could be a good thing or a bad thing. My wife thought her iced cherry blossom latte was good and not too sweet. The first time I was here I also had a lemon and blueberry scone. Both my wife and I really enjoyed it as the scone was moist with a nice blueberry flavor and just a hint of lemon. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. While I have certainly enjoyed both of the flavored lattes that I have had here, I might just be ordering an americano next time so that I can actually taste the coffee. read more

Such a cute coffee shop! I visited during their soft opening period and there were limited hours. The menu has the basics, which is all you need when it comes to coffee in my opinion! They use Commonplace Coffee, which is roasted locally, and had some seasonal drinks and a few baked goods. The cinnamon roll iced latte I had was incredible! The amount of detail that went into the overall vibe of this place is awesome, too -- vintage furniture, decoration and even containers that hold syrups and straws! The staff is very nice. That's about all I can say. This was the most I've spent for such a small amount of chai latte that tasted more like a marshmallow than the chai spice I would expect. My business partner's coffee was very tasteless. I had a better chai latte at Sheetz at 4am for half the price and twice the amount of product. Vibe of the place isn't my thing. Wooden church pews line the walls with small tables. The pews are hard on your back and butt. It was hard to get any work done and seating is extremely limited. Mixed feelings about this coffee shop. It is quite pleasant, uncluttered, serene and beautiful place to sit in. So it has the environment and vibe going for it. I went inside and it seemed very nice. Really small coffee menu and I was a bit in shock at looking at the price. I should have left right then, but I still ordered a latte. Service staff was polite but not venturing into friendly with a greeting, etc. I cannot get beyond the prices. Six dollars for a 10-12 oz latte (mug seems more like 10 to me), with no addins, flavors, or anything. I'm old enough to remember when we thought Starbucks selling $4 coffees was a scam. So this is just getting crazy now. The fridge has "Liquid Death" available... it's canned water... I shudder to think what that price of that water was (didn't see a price posted). Latte was okay, but not great, and definitely not worth $6. There's also seemingly a restaurant theme. You get a side of prayers. On the walls, on note cards in front, on the prayer box, on the tote being sold. I know they are coming from a place of good heart, gratitude, and wanting to spread blessings. For some folks, that likely will be a reason to be here. For me, one mention of prayers is cute and enough. It's nice to have a small serene coffee shop up in Cranberry area, and I'd want to return to try something else, but they've priced me out. I'd give 3.5, but Yelp doesn't let me do that. I Came here two days in a row! I love coffee and travel all over PGH to get it. The first time I came, there was a very friendly, joyful lady with dark hair who made my drink. It was pretty good. The second day I came. There was a heavier, set lady with Sandy blonde hair and glasses. She was NOT very joyful! She has no personality, & no hospitality. She's very blah. I asked about the menu because on their Instagram they show very fun drinks that they make but when you go in person, she said it's only a "special" and they just make lattes with espresso milk and flavoring. Seems like she was being sarcastic and just not friendly and not wanting to explain, the type of drink they serve. I would not recommend going here. Especially if she would be taking the order, because she brings down the Value. She definitely doesn't seem like she's a "prayer" type of person. Which is what's advertised :( read more
