Wonderful well kept grounds right on a beautiful lake! The cabins are definitely "rustic" but are exactly as I expected. We had a great screened in porch and everything we needed for a long weekend! We took the free kayaks out twice which was great. Every night they have a campfire that everyone can use. Plus several nice beaches and ping pong and other activities. The location is great and the grounds are huge and well maintained. There is noise from the road but I don't think all cabins would experience this and it looked like all of the other places on the lake would experience this as well. It is nice being so close to town, it is very close to several large grocery stores and a number of great restaurants. Would definitely return!!

Best place ever. The staff was awesome, Cabin was cozy. So much to do. Definitely would recommend this place to all my friends and family. Will be back for sure!!!!

This is place represents how a family vacation should be! Simple cabins with just the basics give you that "outdoorsy," "camping feel," but close enough to civilization that you aren't paying to pretend to be homeless. Great for the kids, the lake is crystal clear and they let you use their kayaks and canoe's for free. You can also bring pets and they even have a separate beach where you can bring dogs. We had a 1 bedroom and with a pullout couch between 3 adult and one child. There was no TV which made us make use of all the activities you can do on the grounds. There is cell phone service though which was great. The grounds are kept up and the staff is great . They are there, but not breathing down your necks. The grocery store is close and Weirs Beach is only a 20 minute ride. Overal , Anchorage at the Lake is affordable and one of the best vacations we've ever had . We will definitely be back next year

Pretty morning

Just a great spot to unwind and enjoy being outside. Eight years and counting for us!!

It's…read morereally quite a cute little place, with a ton of fun stuff to do there and in the area it's located at. It's in Belmont about an hour from Ossipee Lake and about a half an hour from Lake Winnipesaukee. It's a cute set up with a few tenting sites as well as a majority of RV and cabin sites. Definitely a seasonal place we're regulars spend their time. Quiet hours are after 10pm and fire had to be out before midnight. There are privacy fences around the few tent sites. When we forgot our paddles for one of our kayaks they let us use one for free. They had paddle boards and kayak rentals as well. The beach area was as nice as it could be but it did have a lot of floaties and a good amount of guck on the bottom. It wasn't a deep lake and it was filled with river weed and plant like to the surface just after the beach. Definitely don't want to fall in out of the beach area ! The owners hand delivered ice and fire wood whenever we called the front office, among other things. They wouldn't take our tips either. They even had a small store. All in all the place is cute, the owners are nice and when we were in last minute jam they were very accommodating !!

This year was the first year that mangy was horrible as the camp ground was sold to modern America and it use to be a family owned camp ground . No one was ever there to meet us to check us in or there when we had to return the gate key . The first visit my uncle who is handicap the bathroom shower seat broke when he was on it , one of the mgt was there and did nothing but put a sign on the bathroom "use caution shower seat broke " 5 weeks later they kinda fixed it. We started a fire and half the ground from the site went up as the site was full of pine needles and leaves that were never cleaned up. We were asked to move our car from the overflow parking lot when the same lady told us to put it there. The last night of our stay in Oct of 2023 there was domestic with a gun at the entrance and not one person of mgt was there but my husband was with the police. I am so upset with modern America They every went as far as not renewing another family memebers seasonal because she asked very nicely when they thought the shower seat would be fixed (after 4 weeks) she politely stated there are lots of elderly and disabled in the park an she was just wondering .

Lake House at Ferry Point - Views from the porch

Just had a spectacular weekend spent at the Lakehouse, what a great spot to relax…read more I especially loved sitting on the the huge farmers porch drinking my fresh brewed morning coffee and watching the sunrise while listening to the loons calling, I felt like I was in the movie " On Golden Pond" ! Then step inside where you find a very comfortable living room and the most beautiful stone fireplace I have ever seen! Most of the rooms have beautiful scenic views of the lake. I have a question though, is there such a thing as a million thread count sheet or pillow case? Because I think this place has them, I have bad shoulders and this was the best sleep I had in years!! That's why I was able to get up early and watch the sunrise and enjoy an excellent breakfast on the porch prepared by the owner himself, thanks Al! Last but definitely not least Al's wife Pamela is just the nicest person, making everyone feel as relaxed as if you were in your own home, she is full of ideas for all your local needs from dining to local recreation. Thank you Lake house for a wonderful stay! Kevin McGowan

The inn was cozy and charming, and Monty and Rebecca were gracious and attentive hosts. They take such pride in their inn, and it shows. The inn itself is well-maintained and beautiful, the rooms are charming and cozy (and some with spectacular views of the lake!), and the amenities throughout were ample. The sheets were divine and so soft; it felt like sleeping on a cloud. The large living room downstairs was the perfect spot to relax by the stunning fireplace and play board games from their many options of games, puzzles, and magazines. There is a selection of coffee and tea in the dining room available any time, and every afternoon fresh, warm chocolate chip cookies are put out. They were delicious and we enjoyed quite a few! In the warmer months, there is a beautiful front porch overlooking the gazebo and waterfront area. The breakfast was fantastic and lovingly made. We were treated to a three-course breakfast in the dining room served by Monty with fresh juices and coffee/tea. First fruit, followed by a delicious pumpkin bread, followed by the main dish. At check-in, they asked about our dietary needs and preferences based on the upcoming menu and catered to our needs. It was excellent and we left breakfast stuffed! Monty was a truly kind and hospitable host and we enjoyed talking with him during our stay. He was even so kind to leave out a few things to go since we departed early before breakfast. Overall, I highly recommend staying at The Lake House at Ferry Point while in town or making a trip for a weekend of beautiful views and relaxation. Cozy inn, hospitable hosts, delicious breakfast, and a superb location right on the lake. We hope to return during warmer weather to enjoy the porch and kayaking. A truly special inn!

Regretfully 2.5 years was was 2 years too long for us, here is our experience of the stay and our…read moreopinions. We signed a 3 year lease spending the 1st year there mostly on weekends and occasional days during the week, once we made it our single home after selling our house over a year ago reality set in. A lot of people will think they want to live at their favorite vacation spot until you live with the reality of random people who can & will walk/run by your living room sliders just feet away from your so called privacy at all times of day and night, it is a motel... When we were 1st there the night sky was amazing until an enormous flag went up that needs enormous lights to illuminate it every night. Then once the property owner's primary home was reportedly (by him) auctioned off he moved his family into one of the homes, (the former renters of that unit had a year plus lease, apparently they bailed within a few months), shortly after that the ongoing state of construction seemed to increase. With the heavy equipment and contractors trucks / trailers coming and going we woke one morning this past spring to the back of my wife's SUV having the rear corner punched in, we surely could not confirm that it happened in the parking lot so the next day I put a web cam pointing out back..damage done but we at least tried to be more careful. Dogs are (seemingly) not allowed on the property but one day earlier this year his contractor's 70lb dog came bounding into our open door (I thought we couldn't have dogs in the home!!). We love dogs and the dog was a known frequent guest on the property while the newest building was going up. We dodged a bullet with the just announced boil water alert for the surrounding area due to E Coli found in the water just recently! The positive is that the ocean view is great though being on the wrong side of RT1A you become very familiar with just how loud motorcycles can be and even worse the new trend of extreme stereo systems on some bikes. Again, short stay vs long stay. We creatively "negotiated" our way out of the lease conveniently before the cold winter months started and we have the mutually agreed lease termination document to prove it (one of the landscapers told my wife that he was sorry to hear that we were evicted?? A family member of mine heard the same story from a mutual friend that has absolutely nothing to do with any party involved. Where did this defaming lie originate?) Any way we left wondering how we stayed in such cramped space as long as we did! We have returned to being home owners once again and live just miles from the old Crown Colony. For future vacations that are near $3k for a week my wife and I can stay all inclusive in the Caribbean resort with food/drink & airfare included!

The main part of the house is very small but nice with little stocking of the beverage "amenities". First impression of the room was disappointing for several reasons but the main first impression was that it was not cleaned well nor do the owners care if it's cleaned well. The bathroom was the first real impression where a filthy shower mat hung on the towel rack, the hand towel had crust on it and a dried, unwashed blood stain on the comforter. iTrip, who is "managing" this place was very prompt about returning my emails UNTIL I responded to THEIR email asking about my stay. Warning - Under New Ownership!! Please read about the changes…read more We booked the Red Sleigh Inn seven months ago because we were planning a trip to the area and we love B&Bs and have stayed at many. What attracted us to this facility was its outstanding reputation. However, exactly one week (7/11/22) before we were supposed to arrive, we received an email that Red Sleigh was under new ownership and there were going to be changes. We could not cancel because it was less than 30 days. Here are the changes: 1. Nobody would be at the facility to greet you. Nope, no personal friendly greeting to welcome you like we were used to in the past. They sent you a passcode for the front door and your room. You have to call a property managing company if there is an issue. 2. You receive ONE set of towels per person for stay. We stayed three days and originally only got one washcloth, one hand towel, and one bath towel per person, until we complained and we each got a second set. 3. NO BREAKFAST ANYMORE!!! I guess they left off one B in B&B. They did give us a voucher of $20 a day for the Moon Cafe to get a small breakfast. I do not know if this service is going to continue. We got it because we booked before the change. The room was clean. There was a coffee station and candy station which were kept full by attendants who showed up daily to clean vacated rooms. If you like the AirBnB experience while sharing the facility with other couples, then by all means enjoy. We prefer the true B&B experience with the home cooked breakfast and somebody there to greet you.

AAAAmazing!!! This…read morewas our best B+B yet. Everything was so charming, clean, delicious and perfect. It was hard to leave. Linda and George run a sweet place there. My husband and I went skiing at Mt. Sunapee and searched for a nearby place to crash. There were not many options besides bigger motels, this option was perfect. The home has 3 guest bedrooms, all appointed with top of the line furnishings, 2 have mountain views. We had the apple blossom room. The bathroom had an awesome jetted tub that George showed us how to use. It was so high tech it even has a button to clean itself after. The bedroom was impeccable with a light carpet and no trace of wear on it. The bed was comfy and the room had a little deck and LCD TV. Outside is a big yard and little barn area with chickens. Linda left a plate of cheese and fruit out of us at our arrival. After skiing it was the perfect snack. I thought that was good then when we returned from dinner, she had put out a plate of home made cookies. We ate them by the fire with tea. She takes pride in the food she offers, even having a tea menu and serving in a individual pot. George saw we enjoyed the fire and brought in more logs to keep it going. Breakfast in the morning was incredibly filling and yummy. She started us with caramelized pears and Greek yogurt, then a plate of their own eggs, ham, corn-cakes and fruit. On the side we had a moist orange nut bread. While we were there, there was 1 other woman staying and we chatted her up. While we were getting ready to leave, Linda gave me a cookbook calendar with some of the recipes used in her breakfast. What a great way to leave and as a newlywed I'm already planning to make some recipes soon. I hope to come back in the summer too to explore and use the nearby lake. In the winter they have snowshoes to borrow. I highly recommend this place for an all seasons getaway.
