The water was a bit chilly in the low 60s but it was refreshing to swim in when the outside temperature hit 80s. The water was crystal clear on the day we went but I read it could be murky after the rain. It's much bigger than Ponce de Leon which is about 8 minute drive from there so you can even kayak or paddle board. I would highly recommend if you're visiting Panama City area if you need a slight change of scenery.

Chris Ball (Owner) is hands down the best scuba instructor I've come across in 26 years of diving. His shop has everything from intro scuba / snorkel gear to advanced technical diving supplies including Oxygen & TRIMIX fills. He's passionate about the fun of diving while maintaining a "one-stop" dive shop, and has managed to figure out how to instruct on any level with both empathy and professionalism. I had the pleasure of doing 4 SCUBA dives with Daly's Dock and Dive Center in Port Saint Joe…read morerecently as part of an underwater archaeology training course. From the moment I walked in the shop, I was impressed. Ann Marie was the first to greet our group, and she was so friendly and helpful. She and her husband Ed are clearly passionate about providing exemplary service. Their selection of merchandise is great, and they had an excellent sale on wetsuits that I couldn't resist. There are beautiful kitties in the shop, and the owners work tirelessly to save feral cats and to get them fixed and vaccinated to help reduce the population of unwanted cats in this rural county. I truly admire their compassionate hearts! I am also a SCUBA diving instructor, and I'm always looking for great shops like Daly's. The owners and crew went above and beyond to make sure our experience was stellar. Daly's is also very safe...we waited for a storm to clear before doing the afternoon dives. Setting up gear is a bit different here...you set up in the back parking lot before loading on the boat, then you walk across the street to meet the boat. Though everyone there was excellent, we mainly interacted with Gabbi and Michelle who we absolutely loved! Michelle is a great boat captain and put us right on the Vamar. Due to our large group, they contracted with another boat captain named Mike who was very experienced and kind. I had left a sea urchin shell on his boat, and he took the time to come back to the shop to return it to me. Also, I get cold easily, and between dives, Ann Marie brought us awesome boat coats we borrowed to keep warm! Customer service could not have been better. I had not been to Port Saint Joe in several years, and I was blown away at what a hip, trendy town it has become. There are many wonderful restaurants and attractions (including the lighthouse) within walking distance of the dive shop. Our group took full advantage of the prime location and dined, shopped, and did some sightseeing after our excellent experience with Daly's Dock and Dive Center. I highly recommend this shop and will definitely return!

Unfortunately, I had a disappointing experience with Cave Adventurers…read more During my second day of training, I broke a finger and asked the instructor, Edd, whether I could complete the remaining portion of the course once my finger healed. Since I had already paid the full $900 upfront, he agreed. About two months later, I contacted him to schedule the remaining training days, but I started receiving multiple excuses and delays. I even offered to pay an additional $150 to accommodate the situation, but in the end, I was told I would need to pay another instructor $600 extra to complete the final two days because Edd no longer wanted to honor his original agreement. I understand unexpected situations can happen, but I was disappointed by the lack of follow-through and professionalism after paying in full and relying on the promise that was made.

That's where you find SEA Divers scuba diving Now add two of the nicest and most genuine people you will have the pleasure of meeting. That is Erica and Ashton, the owners of SEA Divers Scuba. I finished my initial certification with Ashton here. I heard so many good things about him as an instructor diver that I drove 10 hrs from NC to do it with him. Totally worth it! I could not ask for a more patient, knowledgeable individual. He is epic at making students feel comfortable and makes sure they are fully trained and understand the basics to start their lifelong dive journey. There is no way to leave here with a certification and not be ready to hit the water with just enough confidence to know this is a sport that takes lots more diving to master, but feel good about getting it. The dive shop is well stocked and they only sell name brand quality equipment but I challenge you to find any shop that does it at a better price. They will ship so ask here before spending somewhere else If you are a diver, a wanna be diver, or just wondering about diving and you are in within an hour of this shop you will do yourself a disservice by not stopping in. Highly recommended!
