Seashells that are advertised falsely. These are planted by Destin Snorkel, they are NOT NATURAL!
    Ian G.

DO NOT COME HERE!! Let me start off by saying I have never experienced this time of false thievery in my entire life. My wife and I signed up for the "Shelling & Finding Dolphins" tour. The main part and focus of this tour was to find amazing shells at a remote Island. My wife and I were so excited the entire time we were looking for unique and incredible shells. My wife and I usually go to Marco Island and Sanibel every year, so we ignorantly thought like everyone else on the tour that we were simply just getting lucky. They also have a hermit crab race at the end! Those hermit crabs are not from Destin at all! There are most likely simply bought at an animal store! Folks, they are defrauding everyone! The shells are not natural at all, in fact, Destin Snorkel plants those shells to advertise this specific tour. If I had to guess, they go at night and literally dump the shells there, or they go in the early morning. It's so disturbing that at this point, I cannot let it continue and I will do everything in my power to make sure the public eye knows about their fraudulent business dealings. The worst part is at the end, they ask you for a tip!!! We tipped Captain Ty $10 via Venmo at the end. I can't stress this again, you never want to do business, with a business that violates your good intentions as a customer. They crossed the line. Destin Snorkels will not be defrauding anyone again if I can help it! NOTICE HOW "COLORFUL" AND "PRETTY" and these nice sized shells are?! How funny that they are found in a place of the state that is literally not known for any of these types of shells being found at all near Destin!!! Only in southeast Florida can you find shells such as these!

FAKE shells that were planted on the left. ACTUAL shells found in the same spot on the right.

We were struggling to find shells in the area of our vacation rental so we looked up shelling tours. Happened upon this one that included snorkeling spots and the likelihood we would spot dolphins. Almost immediately after leaving the harbor, we came across dolphins. The water was beautifully clear and you could see them even before they breached the surface. The first snorkeling spot was fantastic. My family loved the jetty and the drop off. Not really many shells, but it was a memorable experience. Then we headed to the "shell beach" and this is where the company lost me. We were told the best please to find shells was typically in the water around the boat...not really on the shore. And boy did we find shells. Tons of them. Bright. Beautiful. Clean. Unbroken. And completely PLANTED. This was not a shell beach. This was an Easter egg hunt for shells dumped by the company (or another partner). I'm sure some families don't mind. And they enjoy letting their kids have the experience of "finding" amazing shells. But it should be disclosed that you'll find shells that aren't even native to the area. My daughter was THRILLED to find her haul and then heartbroken once she realized it couldn't possibly be true. Do better. EDIT to ADD: this is a pic of the local shells (right side) and the planted shells (left side). Half of the planted shells aren't even found in Florida. They're poached from waters off Malaysia and The Philippines.

Deatin snorkel tours is a multi functional tour place that basically offers you different opportunities to get on a tour boat out at sea. Located in the harborwalk village of Destin Florida. Me and my family along with some family friends used this service twice while on our vacation. We took a dolphin cruise and a fireworks cruise on two separate nights. Pricing for both are the same. About $20 a person. So not bad at all as it gets you on a boat in the water for a good hour or so. They have different boats for different tours and they give you a yellow ticket with the boat name, dock time and dock number. Son makes it easy for toy to find your tour. For the dolphin cruise we had bad luck. The Dolphins were not cooperating. We seen one fin as we left the dock. Outside of that nothing for almost 90 min. We pretty much was just boated around in circles for 90 minutes. While disappointing the wildlife did not cooperate these things can happen. So bro there fault. The weather was great and they sites were beautiful and the kids loved being on the water in a boat. The firework cruise I enjoyed better. Was at night and they kinda cruise you around the same areas the dolphin tour takes you until the show starts. The firework show probably lasted Just under ten minutes and was pretty. Was launching form a thing in the middle of the sea that we drove right up too. My only complaint about This one is the boat we were on was half way covered at the top and not open. So everyone had to crowd to one end of the boat to see well. I let the kids rush to the that area and sat back and relaxed and see what I could. I'm not sure if the firework one is a yearly thing or just because it was 4th of July weekend. But it was a neat addition. Overall we enjoyed our two trips on destin snorkel cruises. They didn't go perfect but we enjoyed being on the Water. On both tours they strongly pushed that the deck hands work for tips. But on nether tour were the deck hands being hosts or sharing info. Each tour everyone gets a free bottled water but you went and got at your own leisure. On th dolphin cruise a few times the hand said "usually there are some in this area". So I guess if I could leave a suggestion it would be to have your deck hands be more interactive. Have them act like the ride tour guides at Disney do. Especially if they work mainly for tips. Hey out there and earn those tips. Either way it was a cool experience and glad we did it.

$35 PP that included all fees, best deal I found. Convenient location and you can get there early and shop at all the cute stores in the boardwalk! Friendly staff with an easy check process. Saw lots of dolphins! Would of liked to of stayed longer at the shell island but 35 min is all we got:( The island was not at all what I expected but I found some shells and enjoyed a nice boat ride!!!

Really enjoyed this trip they were very informative and didn't rush you to get out of the water even thought me and my bf were the last ones out of the water both times! We swam for a bunch of shells to take home!! They are a great company that protects the wildlife I really recommend this company if you wanted to go on a group trip! We started the trip watching dolphins they weren't active but they were very determined to see a pod of dolphins

From check in to snorkeling and shelling, everyone here was great. The Captain made an extra effort to get us a great dolphin viewing experience as well. We had never snorkeled before and we loved it! And we found some beautiful shells. So much fun!

    Sunset on Dolphin Cruise!

Booked a dolphin evening cruise and a Snorkeling Cruise for the wife and I while on vacation. The Dolphin Evening Cruise was great, the ship was full, but enough room to move around. The Crew took the time to point out the Dolphins, and circle spring so everyone has a good look. The sunset was wonderful with some great pictures. The Snorkeling trip was great. Both locations were perfect for beginners, shallow water, not much current to fight, and plenty of fish. The crew supplied some fish food for the fish to eat, which allowed for some great pictures. The second stop was also shallow, and gave the opportunity to find some shellfish, and even a couple of blue crabs. There are was protected, so only the empty shells were allowed to be taken. Both trips met our expectations, and look forward to seeing them again next year.

Waiting in line at the docks to board the boat.

My friend and I were visiting Destin for a long weekend and decided to do a sunset cruise which we caught behind the Emerald Grande at Destin Harbor Walk. The staff members were awesome! There was a storm in the area and the captain managed to keep us out of the rain. It was pretty choppy waters getting out of the harbor into the Gulf, but our captain did it as gracefully as possible. Because of the storm we got a tour of the entire Destin Harbor which had some pretty amazing houses, including Tim McGraw and Faith Hill's home. We saw some dolphins. The second mate knew how to whistle at the dolphins to get them to come near the boat. And because of the storm we had a pretty amazing sunset. The clouds cleared just enough as the sun was going down. I would absolutely recommend this company for your boat touring needs when you are in the Destin area. And it was only $20, for a two hour tour.

    Shells we found shelling.

Great customer service. Captain Gary and Alexis made the experience very fun. High recommend.

Snorkel Destin on the Kokomo II with Andy and Sean !!! Both were very professional, funny ,and did many things to maximize everyone's 3 hour adventure. We snorkeled in a great spot with equipment and guidance from Sean and Andy. My kids had never snorkeled before so this was a great experience The dolphins we saw were amazing. Andy led our group to the Gulf and we raced with dolphins. It was amazing to see the dolphins jumping and playing in the wake. We finished up by shelling in an area with hermit crabs and shells. It was a great afternoon and we are coming back next year.

    Beautiful view from the boat.

We did the 3 hour, 2 stop snorkeling tour. Our guide was friendly and funny and the trip was awesome. We saw many dolphins, a puffer fish, horseshoe crab, hermit crabs, schools of small fish, several large fish and found some beautiful shells. So much fun and worth the money.
