I scheduled my 25 min foot bath at 1:30p and then the 50 min salt cave session at 2p. From the moment I walked in I was warmly greeted. Checked in immediately, as I had entered all voucher info ahead of time. I was escorted back to the foot bath suite of 3 (and was by myself) was taken great care of by the very knowledgeable and friendly staff. She was training someone and they both were kind and just made me feel so comfortable. Once that was done and the ion thingy did its thing - she went over all the different colors and things we saw in the water. Super interesting. Then I was led to the salt caves and was wowed! Soooo pretty and relaxing. Again I was by myself so it was even more relaxing, but I wished I had all my friends with me - because it is very neat. Kicked back in the lounge chair with a blanket and just breathed in all the good air. That was Friday afternoon; it is now Sunday morning and I just finished a workout and STILL feel light on my feet!! Can't wait to go back!

I don't usually review on yelp anymore but the fake 5-star reviews here are so significant, and the scam so well-designed that I am posting about it. Quick summary: they have a practice of switching you to a less experience/different masseuse without notice or consent and in my case the owner (Patrick) specifically knew my spouse was dropping me off for my appointment, had been texting me about my 1:30 appointment even after 11 a.m. and also sent a 12 p.m. confirmation with no changes........"notice" of a change was not emailed to me until I was having my appointment (17 minutes later), I was paired with someone who said she had only been in Denver for 2 wks, and had no reviews on their booking site, and did not perform the sports massage as booked. Once the charge dispute is fully resolved with AmEx I will put more information up about how the business is running a scam, but I don't want to do that until after the refund. The Details: The business requires a full pre-pay, which I've never had to do before (just deposits/security) and that should have been a red flag, but this is my first Denver massage. I booked on a Friday for a 2-hr Monday afternoon sports massage with Patrick because on google Patrick was specifically recommended and noted as the owner. I've had massages for fitness/medical necessity for years and years and I don't care if the person is male or female as long as they can do deep tissue massage. I kept getting notices to complete a creepy online form that requires too much PII for not providing any privacy or storage assurances. I also saw ppl complain that there's no parking over 2-hrs. So I kept contacting the business to ask about parking and to ask if I can come early to complete the form. Patrick finally texted me the morning of my appointment and basically confirmed that a parking space was not available so I wrote that my spouse would drop me off. So after 11 a.m. the owner knows I am being dropped off for my 1:30 2 hr sports massage with him and that I am arriving early to fill out the form. I get there, there's a guy in a van leaving - pretty sure it was Patrick - and him and a woman say "you're early" and she says "I'm ready for you." I'm so confused because I booked with a dude named Patrick. She speaks little English and is very hard to understand so I think oh my god, this person probably really needs the money, I don't have a way out because my husband dropped me off, and she can't communicate. Then there are no intake forms whatsoever, there are no questions about my needs whatsoever, there's no communication about my massage being changed to basically a "stand all over my back, massage me with your feet" Thai massage. She (Kathy) does tho ask me over and over again if my massage is really 2 hrs. I spent all but the last 20 mins on my back. I get home and see that there is a 1:47 p.m. email from the practice changing my 1:30 p.m. appointment and asking for confirmation or cancellation. I'm convinced that Patrick knew - whether he really injured his thumb during an earlier massage or not - that I would have cancelled in a heart beat and not booked with a new therapist with no reviews. The businesses' attempt to engage in the cover up of the appointment change is what change the situation from concerning to an obvious effort to do a bait and switch on business services that was pre-planned, methodical, and a scam. If you are new to Denver, rely on word of mouth directly for apartments, restaurants, massages, etc because the businesses here really have the scam review business down across platforms. read more

Thai Combo Bodywork Therapy with Amber! I can't recommend this place enough! I had an incredible 90-minute massage from start to finish-it was easily one of the best massage experiences I've ever had. I did have a little trouble finding the location, but that was completely my own fault. They had provided very clear directions ahead of time, and I simply overlooked them. When I called, they answered right away, were incredibly kind, and helped guide me directly to the right place. The massage itself was phenomenal. My therapist's bodywork was outstanding, and the stretching throughout the session was exactly what I needed. They were attentive, professional, and incredibly skilled, leaving me feeling completely relaxed and refreshed. What really set the experience apart was the thoughtful attention to detail. After my massage, I was invited to a peaceful relaxation area with tea and snacks to unwind before heading out. Then, to top it all off, the owner personally gave me a call afterward to thank me for coming in. That level of hospitality is so rare these days and made me feel genuinely appreciated as a client. Overall, this was a 12/10 experience. Exceptional service, amazing massage, and wonderful people. I highly recommend them and will absolutely be back! read more

I scheduled a surprise 75-minute massage for my wife with Patrick, after doing some research online looking for the "best massages in Denver." After the massage, my wife's exact response was, "he beat me up pretty good, but that was one of the best massages I've ever had." I had read other reviews that said exactly the same, but I was skeptical -- she confirmed it for me. She tends to have a lot of knots in her upper back and tightness in her shoulders and arms, and she said he not only got the knots out but told her how to ensure they didn't come back quickly. She said that "Patrick was very knowledgeable and was even able to assess her feet pain" letting her know that she had not just 'hurt' her feet some years back, but had actually broken them (which all made sense now based on the healing). She looks forward to coming back really soon. In anddition, she enjoyed the post-massage tea! I was so glad that the location I chose for her surprise wellness day turned out to be a really good one! read more

I had such an amazing experience at Ancient Thai Bodywork! From the moment we arrived, everything was clean, welcoming, and so peaceful. The staff was incredibly kind, friendly, and attentive, and you can truly tell they care about their clients. The massage itself was absolutely incredible. It was thorough, relaxing, and exactly what we needed. But what really made this experience unforgettable was the extra effort they put in for my boyfriend's birthday. They went out of their way to surprise him with a cake, candles, and even sang happy birthday, which was so thoughtful and honestly meant more than they know. After our session, we were able to enjoy tea and even take pictures, which made the whole experience feel even more special and personal. I booked a 90-minute session and honestly wasn't prepared for how incredible it would be. Kathy combined traditional Thai back walking, hot stones, therapeutic massage, and assisted stretching into one seamless, deeply restorative experience. Each technique flowed naturally into the next, and you could tell she was genuinely tuned into what my body needed throughout the entire session. The back walking was both intense and incredibly relieving -- she has perfect control and instinctively knows how to apply just the right pressure. The hot stones melted away any remaining tension, and the active stretching at the end left me feeling longer, looser, and more mobile than I have in years. Kathy clearly has mastered her craft. I've been trying out a many Thai massage spots, as the previous place I went to was going down in quality. Patrick and Amber are by far the best masseuses I've had so far and I'll only be coming here from now on. Both times I've been here, Patrick and Amber have done a great job assessing my body's needs and concentrating my session with fixing those problem areas. Other massage therapists tend to go through a generic formula, and I'd leave with the same stubborn knots. This is not the case at Ancient Thai Bodywork - I leave feeling like my knots melted away. Both masseuses will apply heavy pressure if you ask, which I love. Besides the massage itself, the studio is spotless and cozy. They even provide refreshments after the massage. Wow--that was a great massage! I am a massage therapist myself, and this was a fabulous treatment! Perfect combo of compression, stretching, and traditional massage. It was perfectly on the edge of discomfort--so you know it's working--and wonderfully relaxing!! Nadia was great--she knew all the spots, and had the perfect pressure with her feet and hands, and was definitely in tune with sensitive spots. Nadia was my massage therapist and she did an amazing job digging deep into my muscles and even recognized that Ive been struggling with sciatic pain without me even saying anything. I just received my first Thai style couples massage. My masseuse Valentina was absolutely amazing. She was gentle yet firm and extremely responsive to sensitive areas. She adjusted her pressure as needed and used a vairety of techniques including different streaches and contortions of my body to better reach and release tight areas. The hot stone treatment was a free addition for our treatment and an absolute must have. Herbal tea was available after and the atmosphere of the establishment was amazing. Not quite Siam Orchid level, but genuinely one of the best we've had outside of it. We did a couples massage with the Thai integrative oil massage therapy, and I upgraded to deep pressure for extra. The stretching was thorough and intentional. Total came out to about $400 including tip and the deep pressure add-on. This was actually more than we'd pay for the same thing at Siam Orchid in SF, which surprised us a bit given the Denver cost-of-living assumption. The space itself has this cozy feel. After, they brought out tea and little flower-shaped cookies, which was such a lovely touch to end on. If you're missing a great Thai massage in Denver, this is the closest we've found to what we loved in SF and Thailand. Ask for Supar. We'll be back!

If you didn't, there's Thai trousers to slip into. Think yoga wear. The work itself was careful, global, and deeply felt. I moved in ways I'd forgotten I could. I selected Ashi Thai, which is a blend of Thai and shiatsu, using feet as well as hands, forearms, and elbows. Cece has excellent elbows, and the training and intuition to use them well. I will return, often.
