Ancient Thai Massage is fantastic. I recommend them highly. I have been many times. I have never been disappointed and I myself am a massage therapist of 16 years. I love the stretching and the deep work. Every therapist there is is well trained and seem tireless. This place is lagit and very clean. This is my favorite massage parlor . They worked out a couple kinks in my upper back that were killing me with pain. The massage therapists are very strong and they won't skimp put on you with wimping technique . Thai massage is the best in my opinion if you have knots that you're dying to get out . This place is the real deal. They are courteous, professional and worth every penny. I've been to a ton of these places and stumbled on this one today. I got the 1 hour Swedish massage and for the first time ever they actually massaged for an hour. So refreshing to get what you pay for. The lady asked several times if the pressure was ok. Been stressed for a couple weeks now and I could feel my neck and shoulders just tighten up. Walked in with pain and walked out in pain, as the therapist didn't focus on my target area, even though they have you fill out a paper asking what it is that you'd like them to focus on. The deep tissue massage was good however it was un enjoyable being in the state of pain I was in, In my lower back so I could only focus on ok when is she going to do my lower back, but never did. We were placed in the room right by the door so we were able to hear everyone coming in, that would be the only bad thing i would say about this place. I have been receiving Thai massage for 20yrs. OMG I had been driving by this place for years prior to going in 11/16. Knowledgeable, professional staff. Wife and I get a 90 min session every 2 weeks. I don't get massages very often but when I do, I go here. The tea they serve is really good but not as awesome as the massage. I always leave relaxed and blissful. My experience started off with my friends regular masseuse performing my Thai massage. Issue #1 did not massage the top/front of my legs Issue #2 atmosphere was not relaxing. Lots of distracting sounds.... What I could hear: - Street noises from passing cars - The business provides you with tea after the massage and I could hear what sounded like someone washing dishes - Noise from people walking in the hall - And to too it off, at some point the masseuse started speaking to someone in the hall during my massage! read more

Unsanitary practice. The masseuse stepped on my back and shoulders while wearing her rough dirty socks. Walked on the dirty floor and went back to step on other parts of my body. Waste of time. Dawn does the best thai massage, which includes much needed stretching. They are great at catering to areas needing it the most. You get to specifiy areas in need and they focus on them. I called a few weeks in advance to make an appointment. Was it absolutely necessary? Probably not, since they don't seem incredibly busy, but it makes it easier for us and them, and we received a call the morning of the appointment to confirm. In the end, it's probably a better experience when they're not as busy, given the size of the business. The employees are very courteous and friendly, and are open to answer any questions you might have. The place is pretty small, but at least you can't miss the well-lit signs in front and in the window. Yes, it's technically in a residential area, but there seem to be plenty of houses turned into businesses in the area. They do have a very small parking behind the house (accessed from the front by driving around to the right of the house), but it only holds maybe 4 cars. I have only had a few massages before, but they give a simple sheet for you to fill out beforehand to confirm what kind of massage you want (with prices clearly stated), the amount of strength you'd like them to use, any problematic areas, etc. During the massage they had no problem lowering or increasing pressure when asked. On our way out we were offered some Thai tea which was a small, but nice touch. As for the actual massage - I'd surely do it again, and the stretching felt good (we had the Thai massages), but the effects are not long-lasting, of course. You'd have to keep up the stretching on your own or go back often for any long-term loosening to really take effect. read more

It is clean and has a nice vintage feeling. There is a small parking lot behind the house. We were able to get a massage with just 45 minute notice! A thai massage is different from your stereotypical massage. -The "table" was actually a thin mattress on a slightly raise platform just a few inches off the ground. -We were given shorts and a tank top with open back (similar to a hospital gown) -Massage included a lot of stretching We will definitely support this local small business. This was my first visit. I got the Thai herbal massage, and it was equal to the massages I have gotten in Bangkok. Thai massage combines typical swedish-type pressure with stretching. As is usual with Thai businesses, the place is immaculately clean and authentically decorated. Highly recommended.
