They installed a tankless system for us (January 2025), an HVAC heater (September 2025), and a humidifier into the HVAC (October 2025). They quoted me $300 for a valve replacement in writing before changing their mind if they would do the work, referring me to their parent company (Steingass) whose rep Jason came out. I asked Jason for two quotes, one for the one valve and one with an increased the scope, Jason verbally told me he'd quote that but the increased scope would only take a day of work. He then only quoted the increased scope at $3500 for two days of work. I emailed a reply to the quote but it bounced because their quote system doesn't send from an actual email address. Burrier installed the HVAC heating unit back in September but with piping that wasn't properly glued. This caused exhaust leaks into our basement during the winter when it turned on. They sold us a humidifier that doesn't work as promised. Despite multiple trips they initially couldn't find any issue. It was two months later that their installers found mineral buildup that shocked them and said to me that it looked like over a year since the filter was changed. So, we needed the added expense to add a separate water filter line. This was done at an upgraded post install cost. Unfortunately, even with this we still don't get good humidity (19% when set at 50%). Additionally, they scheduled a flush of our tankless system but their first tech who came on site only inspected the humidifier didn't do it. Then, techs came back several times for the humidifier none came with the equipment to flush it. I was told in writing by Tom that Lee would schedule but he didn't. I'm exhausted trying to stay on top of the issues. They don't follow up with me, I have to follow up with them. I have called and left voicemails that haven't been returned by the scheduling department. I have emailed sales. I wish they could have continued to be awesome like they were when we started working with them and hopefully they improve but for now I'm lowering from 5 stars to 2 stars to reflect the new reality of working with them.

When I asked him to check if there was a leak of gas from my furnace, he said everything is in good working condition and there are multiple safety measures to prevent any leak. But when I asked how to be sure there is no leak, he said that is a second step to measure with a meter and it will cost another $89. In any event, I didn't find him to be friendly and helpful to rule out my initial complaint. I did not opt for the second step. No second step for diagnosis was informed by Sal earlier. That said, I guess I must give the business a 5-star rating based on the professional scheduling and followup of the appointment. "One swallow doesn't make a summer' or "one bad day" is not a true reflection of the company. I am changing my rating at Sal's text request personally. It's only changed because I can understand Sal's concern as a businessman. He offered me free service in return but I declined it again. He got me wrong completely. My changed rating is only for the professionalism shown by the reception desk and their follow-up. It is not for the changed picture Ron gave that I asked if Ron wanted me to wear a mask. We first ran across Anderson when looking for a new contractor to replace our furnace and AC unit in late Summer of 2018. We had been using the same HVAC contractor since 1991 and after their retirement, I was looking for the next long-term partner to take care of our home HVAC/Plumbing needs. After carefully researching companies in our area, I called Anderson as they seemed to best fit our long term needs with regards to price, performance and quality of work. Many of the reviews of Anderson (Google, Facebook, Yelp and others) indicated that Anderson would be a good fit...although ya never really know for sure until you meet them and experience some real-world dealings with them. Fortunately, in this case, we hit on the 'Golden Ticket' with our first try as Anderson proved to be all we were looking for and more. Prompt return of calls, competitive and complete estimates and quality of work were the result of choosing Anderson for the installation of a new furnace/AC combo in our home, which they will be servicing going forward. From Valerie, who took our initial call and set up the appointments, to Josh who came and did the estimate and the installers and helpers who came on installation day, the experience was one exceeded expectation after the next. Additionally, a few months later we were in need of a furnace/ac/water heater service and inspection to satisfy the local building department needs to sell my parents house. Given the limited time frame before closing the sale, finding a contractor to perform this service in the midst of the busy 'onset of winter' season could have proved to be a daunting task as we were needing it done within a 7-10 day window. However, after shooting Josh an email explain the situation he promptly responded, noting that he had alerted the proper folks to our expedited needs and I should call tomorrow to set up an appointment. I called the next morning, spoke to Valerie and 4 hours later, the inspection and service were complete....can't ask for much more than that. It's nice to know that one is more than just an account # at Anderson and the service relationships they build and maintain stretch far beyond mere job completion. EXCELLENT SERVICE from beginning to end! We needed to replace the original furnace in our home that was 27 years old. Josh Bain was our consultant and really was awesome! He was incredibly thorough and so informative. We actually learned more about furnaces and how they function optimally from Josh than any other company we've used over the many years of service (that's even including the servicemen that came to do repairs on our previous furnace). The installer's were very friendly and professional. They were also informative in explaining the differences between our new furnace and the old one and the changes we'll see in going with the specific model we chose that was the best fit for our home. They were super efficient and cleaned up after themselves to where you wouldn't have known they were even here. We can't thank Josh and the whole team enough for helping us navigate through our options of such an important purchase for our home. Phil got to my home this morning and got right down to getting the old wall furnace in the garage out of the way. Installing the new wall furnace in a very short time. Once that project was completed Phil and Mike started working on the problem with the hot water boiler that heats the back part of the home. They installed new thermostat wire and ran a systems check on the boiler and everything was up to spec. Phil check on the wall furnace one last time before leaving. My AC stopped working Friday at noon and I called Anderson Cooling for help. They set me up with a 3-5pm appointment the same day (Yah!!) and Jim O. came out and quickly discovered the outside blower motor had seized bearings and it would take 3-5 days to get a replacement motor. Jim was able to add oil to the bearings (temporary fix) and it is still working 24 hours later. Instead of sweating during a hot 85+ degree weekend, we are nice and cool in the house! I texted Ted Herczog today, ten years later, because the 4-ton unit was not pumping out ice-cold air anymore. He came out himself, same day, after 5pm on a 90F Friday to fix it. It's fixed. It seemed strange to me that I could not talk to someone who schedules by 7. I am hoping to create a long term vendor relationship. I finally get a call at 8. Then I get information not for a fridge scheduling but for an AC which I have interest in, but is low on the priority list. I really need this Refrigerator fixed. After waiting until 8, I am told to call the next day. Punch line, can't reach anyone at the number the next day. We run an office with lots of suites. We want to help our tenant out. But if there is no one to talk to how do we get that done?
