I demanded to speak with Dr Cox several times before and after he moved to new location. I was told he could not do anything about it. A dentist who has no control of his staff or financial issues within his practice is a dentist I will stay far away from and suggest others do also. Now this practice is continuing to harass me about the charge related to Dr Cox. The amount in question is just a little over $100. I guess they expect me to pay it to get them off my back. To fill a cavity is a 3 month wait and when I sent my daughter in w my mom bc I had to work, they needed to call me like I didn't follow a rule. They've cancelled appointment on me multiple times as well. Also, when my daughter needed to see an orthodontist they took X-rays to provide, which took over an hour and very unprofessional bc they used phone flash lights to look at the X-ray? Then the ones they provided were not them and we knew this bc she had braces and a bracket was missing. Stir clear of this place. They are a factory and just want your business but won't do a good job of keeping it.

So my husband was the person that came forward about Dr. Kate being a complete unprofessional human being at southern pediatric dentistry about a month ago, and how she mom shamed me. Well, I continued to go through with a treatment plan because face it, it's about my son's mouth and being civil. So, the office has my email, address, and phone number. My son had an appointment today to fill 2 cavities and I couldn't remember if it was 9am or 9:25 so I called, the receptionist said your sons account is closed. I'm like what? I haven't missed appointments. The receptionist said Dr.Kate closed your account due to your Facebook rant. Excuse me WHAT?! So my husband had to call out of work, yall had my info this entire time to not let me know my account was closed?! So if I didn't call over the time, me and my son would have went up there for them to be snooty and say your not being seen?! So, Dr. Kate got her feelings hurt over my rant and totally disregarded my son's medical needs . The receptionist told me well you know it's just really bad for business, and I'm like this is going to be really bad for your business. If a parent is willing to be civil for the child like I was, then the professional dentist should be able to be civil for the child! And before anyone says why didn't you just find another dentist after your feelings got hurt. Well, trying to find a dentist that is accepting new patients, one that takes Medicaid, and in a timely manner is close to impossible in Anderson. So yes that's why I just wiped my feelings off and chose to be civil for my child, why couldn't Dr. Kate? She's in a customer service based career, not everyone is going to love her but to take it out on a 6 year old is beyond me.

It wasn't like that for me when I was growing up in Tokyo. You went where your parents went. But times have changed I suppose - you take your kids to these fancy places now, or at least in the States you do. So as you can imagine, these kid-friendly-dentists are trained to "cheer up" and take away the "scare factor" of getting your teeth looked at - and Crockett does it well. In fact, my 5 year old already had a cavity! Thanks G-mama for all those snacks and ice cream pops ( well, we take a good blame as well.....doh!..... they don't call me Mr. Snack for no reason ) Anyway, he took it well and didn't shed a tear ... they even pulled the tooth out and he was like, "you gonna take out more, and let me see it, o'tay" .... time to brush son.
