The dental hygienist didn't put a bib around him, so he had toothpaste all on the front of his shirt once she finished brushing his teeth. The actual teeth brushing was only 20 seconds, at most. She didn't even try to help wipe toothpaste off of his shirt and then when i asked for a wipe to clean it off, she handed me a small piece of cotton cloth to wipe bright pink toothpaste off of his shirt. Then we waited for over an hour to see the dentist because she was preoccupied with another procedure. Mind you, we were 1 of 4 other children in there waiting to see the dentist. Overall, this place doesn't seem organized.

After the procedure, apparently more costs were incurred due to a miscommunication with insurance reimbursement, which we were informed of by letter while out of town due to a family emergency. When I called the day after getting back to town and receiving the letter, I courteously explained our circumstances and apologized for the delay, offering to pay the balance in full immediately. I was told that our family was kicked out of the practice with absolutely no option for readmittance. Don't expect to have any consideration for life circumstances from this practice.

Also, when my daughter needed to see an orthodontist they took X-rays to provide, which took over an hour and very unprofessional bc they used phone flash lights to look at the X-ray? Then the ones they provided were not them and we knew this bc she had braces and a bracket was missing. Stir clear of this place. They are a factory and just want your business but won't do a good job of keeping it.

But meeting the staff, I immediately felt relieved. Our dental hygienist for the kids was Ms. Sandy and she was spectacular. She really talked to my daughter in a way that she'd understand. She was patient with her, let her see all the tools they were going to use, let her pick the toothpaste flavor and was just overall wonderful to my daughter. Our little boy is under one but has lots of teeth, so we got him checked out too. He wasn't a fan of the dentist/hygienists but they were quick and no tears were shed. The receptionists and the billing/scheduling ladies were also really nice. They answered my questions and were quick and efficient. I'm happy with the care my kids received here.

From scheduling his appointment to our visit, we received excellent service. The staff and dentist made him feel comfortable. There are iPads and games to keep kiddos occupied and at ease. There are TVs at the cleaning stations. Our little guy has a small cavity and we were able to schedule an appointment quickly to have it filled and get sealant on other teeth. I also received a quote on what our insurance doesn't cover, the same day. Our little guy has an appointment coming up and he has some complex health care needs. He typically is a challenging patient but I feel comfortable the dentist and staff will be able to meet his needs. Look forward to having them handle our children's dental needs.

It wasn't like that for me when I was growing up in Tokyo. You went where your parents went. But times have changed I suppose - you take your kids to these fancy places now, or at least in the States you do. So as you can imagine, these kid-friendly-dentists are trained to "cheer up" and take away the "scare factor" of getting your teeth looked at - and Crockett does it well. In fact, my 5 year old already had a cavity! Thanks G-mama for all those snacks and ice cream pops ( well, we take a good blame as well.....doh!..... they don't call me Mr. Snack for no reason ) Anyway, he took it well and didn't shed a tear ... they even pulled the tooth out and he was like, "you gonna take out more, and let me see it, o'tay" .... time to brush son.
